Lee led Akira to Route 802, where they would travel along until they reached their next destination. Lee still had Tyni out of her pokeball, but now Vincent was out as well. The two pokemon walked happily next to each other, following behind Lee. Tyni was singing yet another little made up tune of hers and now Vincent was joining along with her. The two really seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Meanwhile, Lee had his nose stuck in a map he got from Gustella Town. He was trying to read it, figuring out where they were exactly on the map and how long they would have before they hit the next city. The journey didn't look terribly long to him. However, it wasn't the shortest trip he had taken either. Well, to preoccupy their time, maybe they could encounter some wild pokemon or something eventually.
Lee had to wonder what pokemon in his party would evolve soon. The only pokemon he had that was an evolved form was a special Charmeleon. With one badge on him, maybe he could handle her better? Who knew. All Lee did know is that she was strong. Probably just a little bit away from becoming a Charizard. Lee grinned from ear to ear as he thought about a Charizard as his partner. Well, one of them. Vincent was the one he started out with. Lee couldn't wait for him to evolve.
He had a Totodile and a Treeco, though it could be awhile before either of those evolved. Pikachu? He'd need an evolutionary stone, but he didn't know if he was ready to evolve the guy yet even if he had one. Maverick had proven capable without the need for one anyway. As for his Larvitar that was singing a tune behind him? Who knew when she would evolve. Lee needed to do some more studying into pokemon, it seemed.
He glanced over at Akira, directing something at her. "Well, the water looks nice and inviting. Wish I could dive in now." he said to her, drumming up some small talk. He looked from Akira to the water nearby, where he could go fishing for so many kinds of water type pokemon. Well, not like he needed so many to battle. He had Toto the Totodile in his party and that was the only water pokemon he saw himself needing. Still, he wouldn't mind adding some new ones to his collection and they'd be perfect for training his Pikachu and Treeco.

"Yeah, I guess so. It looks so nice," Akira said, gazing into the water happily, twirling the cherish ball that now held Sumire happily. Around her neck, Shiori was snoozing with a small smile on her face as they moved along. "I wonder if there's anything in there," she said as she noticed something moving beneath the surface. Just as she reached out to see what it was there was a loud splash and something bounded out of the water.
"Gyah! River beast!" Akira shouted, running backwards before stopping to see what the creature was. It looked like a regular Growlithe, except it's fur was a dark blue color. In her mouth was a Pokeball that the Growlithe was chewing on like a rubber ball. Examining Akira closely, she finally put the Pokeball down and nudged it towards the Breeder, who picked it up and tossed it at the Growlithe, capturing her in the process. "Um...What just happened?"

"Um... I'd like to know what just happened too. That wasn't strange or anything, no siree" a masculine voice chimed in, eyes wide as he stared at the pokeball Akira was holding. "This region isn't normal, I tell you. What little I do know about pokemon is all flip-flopped around, that Growlithe being a prime example." Mikhail shook his head, some of his hair obscuring his vision for a moment. Standing beside him, his Snubbull also shook his head, but because of how 'wonderful' his trainer was at introductions. He would have apologized to the other pokemon, but they didn't seem to be paying much attention, so he looked up towards Lee and Akira and shrugged.
"Bowww."
From somewhere above, a jet of fire rained down, a furry white bug plopping down upon Mikhail's head. Normally he would have freaked and ran around, but in this case he was far too used to Larvesta's actions and simply looked to the trainers as if to say 'please help me!'. Trying to change the subject, he noticed Lee's map and brightened, taking a step closer to them from the foliage he was near.
"You have a map? So... that means you know where you're going, right? Because I'm totally lost." Larvesta shivered and chittered something strange while Snubbull just looked around, assessing the situation. "Oh, and these two are Snubbull and Larvesta. I go by Mikhail."

Lee watched as the blue colored Growlithe suddenly appeared, chewing on a pokeball. "Toto! Go!" he suddenly called out, his shiny Totodile springing from his pokeball. The Totodile looked ready to start a battle, but there was none to be had. The Growlithe had rolled the pokeball to Akira, who used it to catch the Growlithe. "Well that was...something." he said, a bit confused over the event. Well, Akira now had a new parner to join her team.
Lee glanced back to see where Toto was, and he was already swimming in the river. Tyni and Vincent were at the water's edge splashing each other as well. Lee couldn't help but smile and shrug his shoulders. They had the right idea and atleast they were having fun. "Well, atleast someone gets to enjoy the water." he said to himself aloud. He couldn't blame them for playing around.
Though Lee suddenly heard another male voice near them. He turned sharply to see a guy talking to them. Lee turned his attention away from his playful pokemon to face this newcomer. The guy seemed just as confused with what happened involving Akira and the Growlithe as much as anyone else. Lee noted the two pokemon with him, pulling out his pokedex.
"Snubbull, the fairy pokemon. Small Pokémon flee from its scary face. It is, however, considered by women to be cute." When the Larvesta appeared afterward on the guy's head, Lee had to know about it as well. "Larvesta, the torch pokemon. This Pokémon was believed to have been born from the sun. When it evolves, its entire body is engulfed in flames." Lee put his pokedex away. "Well, that was enlightening." he stated simply.
Lee then found the guy inquiring about his map. Lee blinked a couple of times, then responded back. "Yeah. We're headed to Torrentia City. I'm going to face the gym leader there." he answered rather matter-of-factly. He had to wonder where the guy was coming from and which direction he was meaning to go. "Are you headed to Torrentia City or Gustella Town?" he asked.

"Oh hey there," Akira said, waving at the newcomer and his Pokemon before focusing on the bug Pokemon resting on his head. "Oooo...I've never seen a Pokemon like that before. It's adorable!" she said cheerfully, reaching out to pet the Pokemon with a small smile. Meanwhile, Shiori began to wake up lazily and looked at the newcomer shyly, hiding behind Akira's back.
"Come on girl. Don't be so scared of them. They won't hurt us," Akira said, trying to coax the Seviper out to greet the newcomer, but she continued wriggling around her to avoid being seen.

Mikhail couldn't help but tilt his head as Lee whipped out his pokedex and 'scanned' his team, relaying off bits of information even he didn't know. Oh right, he had one of those things too. He slipped a hand down into his bag to feel around for the white pokedex, needing to confirm the fact that he hadn't lost it before stretching both arms out and over his head, the limbs curling to rest around his Larvesta. Entire body... engulfed in flames?
"You'd better not be clinging to me when that happens, if it EVER happens" the trainer muttered to the bug, sighing as it shivered uncontrollably. He was a bit torn by Lee's words. Perhaps enlightening wasn't the best term to use, but then again, he wasn't the one who was facing a possible future death by a bug on fire. Snubbull had waddled over to watch Tyni and Vincent to watch them play, nodding to himself before looking off into space again. Seemed these were pretty good people and pokemon, luckily for Mikhail again. The teen also noticed the pokemon, and although the Totodile was shiny, he breathed quietly in relief. Well, that snake thing wasn't something he'd seen before, but it was a minority in this case.
"Finally, normal pokemon around these parts. Oh, and the Torrentia Gym? Cool" he stated, shrugging nonchalantly. "I'm heading there myself, but I have a nasty habit of getting lost..." Larvesta cooed and closed his eyes happily as Akira began petting him, wriggling out from underneath Mikhail's arms to seemingly float to the ground, small jets of fire propelling him a small distance away before he landed, legs twitching in delight. That wasn't odd at all.
"Oh, I didn't manage to catch your names" Mik said, adding more to the conversation. "Unless you're secret agents or something. In that case, I'll just have to label you X and Y, I guess."

"Oh right", Lee said, after hearing the other guy ramble on about what Lee's pokedex said about his pokemon. "My name is Lee and I'm from Dust Town. That Totodile splashing around in the water is named Toto. Original, right? The Venonat is Vincent and the Larvitar is Tyni. That's half my party. The other half are in their pokeballs." Lee introduced himself and the pokemon that were out of their pokeballs.
"So you're headed to Torrentia as well?" He finally caught on to that bit of the conversation from earlier. He got so lost in the rambling about the bug catching on fire that he nearly forgot. "Are you challenging the gym there as well?" Lee asked, curiousity obvious in his voice.

"I'm Akira, from Petalburg in Hoenn," Akira said, continuing to pet Larvesta happily as he floated down to the ground. Finally grabbing hold of Shiori by the tail, she held the Seviper out in front of herself. "And this is Shiori."
"Sev," the Seviper said, trying her best to wriggle out of Akira's grip as she did.

"Very original." Mikhail smirked and shoved his hands into his pockets, looking around at the pokemon as they were called out. "At least you gave yours nicknames. Mine don't seem to mind it one way or another, though" he commented plainly, shrugging once more. He had to admit he was somewhat curious as to what the rest of the trainer's team was, and how exactly he filled it so fast with so many different pokemon, but he was hardly jealous. He wasn't in any rush to find more friends along the way. He guessed the rest of his team would find him first like the others had.
"Lee and Akira, huh. All of us seem to be from different places - I'm from Lavender Town back in Kanto." Mikhail stared at Akira for a second as she picked up the huge serpent and showed her to him, a sweatdrop rolling. She must have super strength or something - no way that was a light critter, seeing how big it was! "How... er, nice" he said, glad when Snubbull returned to his side.
"Oh! And yeah, I'm going to challenge the Gym too. Are both of you trainers?" he asked. If so, that'd be one heck of a waiting line for the battles ahead. Oh well. Like he told himself earlier, he wasn't in any hurry. Even though his new 'pals' were interesting, Mik kept looking around the area and bouncing on his toes, eager to get going and head to Torrentia. Why? He didn't really know. He just needed to move.

"Well they seem to be happy one way or the other." Lee said, shrugging his shoulders and trying to offer some comfort to the other trainer. He watched Akira interact with Mik's bug pokemon before she introduced herself and where she was from. "Yeah. It does seem like we're from all over the place. I also seem to be the only one here originally from this region. Though I can't say I know much of anything about it beyond Dust Town and Gustella Town." Lee added.
When he asked if both of them were trainers, he glanced over at Akira. She wasn't. She was a breeder. Infact, she had just passed her first test. "I am. Akira isn't. She's a breeder." he addressed Mik. He then turned his attention at Akira. "Though, I guess there's nothing stopping you from challenging gyms if you want." he added, directing that at her.
He glanced back over at Mik again. Well, they were all introduced. He'd continue to Torrentia, but he glanced over to see his pokemon were still playing in the water. "You know, I'd hate to interrupt their fun. They could definently use some play time and I don't mind taking a break here for a bit if either of you don't.

"Yeah, I guess I could take on some of the gyms around here," Akira said, thinking it over as Lee suggested it. On the one hand, it would make for better training for her Pokemon. On the other hand, a lot of the Pokemon she'd get would be freshly hatched, and it didn't feel right subjecting baby Pokemon to battles so harsh so soon. "Maybe I'll think about it after finishing up the Breeder tests," she added as Shiori managed to get out of her grip and went to go rest in the river. Nodding her head in approval of the rest, Akira clipped off two Pokeballs from her waist and tossed them out, releasing Keima and her new Growlithe. "Alright you two, we're resting here for the moment. How's that sound?"
"Grow!" Yay!
"Zan..." Whatever...

Ohh. A breeder, huh? That was interesting. But... her two pokemon were strange? Even though the Zangoose and Seviper weren't from his 'home land', even Mikhail had heard of their rivalry, mostly through his grandparents. Almost as bad as the thing between Scyther and Electabuzz. He stared at them for a moment before shaking his head, looking around and noticing that Larvesta had picked himself up and headed for the little pokemon pow-ow as well, hovering over them and zipping around here and there via jets of fire from his horns. He wanted to go, but the majority was definitely against him.
"Eh, sure, why not? I need to figure out this contraption anyway" he said, shrugging before collapsing his legs under himself, bum hitting the ground a bit harder than he'd anticipated. As he leaned agaisnt a tree and started to press various buttons on his pokedex, a few ripples began to surface on the river that weren't made by the group's pokemon. First, what appeared to be a lone leaf floated over to them, two large eyes popping out from under the water, a yellow bill following. "Lotad?"
His arrival started a chain reaction, for both a Goldeen and Poliwag surfaced from the shallows alongside him. All of them tilted their heads, watching the pokemon play. They wanted to play too! But... not the tame playing and splashing that was currently going on. They wanted to battle! Snubbull approached the riverside and growled, his four ears perking before Mikhail called him off. "Let Larvesta - he needs to level up a bit."

They all seemed to agree that taking a break and relaxing was a good idea. Lee watched with interest as Mik sat down trying to figure out his pokedex. It was a bit amusing, though it was quickly interrupted. Lee glanced over his shoulder to see three water type pokemon. Toto was already in the water and ready to battle, but Vincent and Tyni were ready to take them on as well.
"Hold it you three!" Lee shouted. He then grabbed a pokeball that was on him and threw it out. "Duke, I choose you!" he called out. Suddenly, next to Vincent and Tyni was a Treecko. Lee wanted to train his Treecko. The grass type pokemon would be good against a water type gym and would make for a good partner with Pikachu. "Target the Poliwag, Treecko. Absorb!" he called out.
[RESULT: 8]+1
The attack had the intended effect, hitting the Poliwag hard from the get go.
Larvesta: 27/27 Treecko: 27/27
Lotad: 15/15 Goldeen: 15/15 Poliwag: 6/15

"Gyah!" Akira shrieked, leaping back as the three Pokemon emerged from the water. Before she could do anything more, Shiori had snuck up on the Goldeen and wrapped herself around the Water-type.
[RESULT: 7] --------------- Getting thrown back by Duke's attack, Poliwag hopped back and leaped at her opponent. Once she was close enough, she tried using Hypnosis to put the grass-type to sleep.
[RESULT: 2] (Duke falls asleep)
Larvesta: 27/27 Duke: 27/27 Shiori: 33/33
Lotad: 15/15 Goldeen: 8/15 Poliwag: 6/15

Seemed everyone else had already started their offensive moves, and Mikhail quickly shoved his dex into one of his pockets so he could stand and focus on his own battle. As he took a moment to dust himself off, Larvesta hovered around the Lotad, which followed him with it's eyes and nearly confused itself. The leaf on the water pokemon's head gave the trainer an idea, and relying on gut instinct, he finally instructed his pokemon to attack.
"Ember, Larvesta!" he called, to which the bug squealed in delight and began to rain fire down upon the scene, the flames that didn't hit the enemy sizzling to their death in the water. "LAAAAAAAAAAAAR!" FIIIIREEEEE!
[RESULT: 8]
Meanwhile, the Goldeen choked and flailed around as the Seviper struggled underneath the coils, his gills needing to be submerged in more water. As he tried to escape, he attempted a Peck attack.
[RESULT: 0] Larvesta: 27/27 Duke: 27/27 Shiori: 33/33 Lotad: 7/15 Goldeen: 8/15 Poliwag: 6/15
