Cassie gave her companion a puzzled look but followed anyway. Oasis was her Pokemon after all. And no it had absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact that she thought the mass expanse of dark was scary. Cause it wasn't not in the slightest.
And she was getting hunger so it was a good time to take a break anyway. "Let's go Mirage." Mirage hummed in agreement and shot off after Abby and Oasis.

After a few minutes of mild swimming, Abby and Oasis finally reached over to the other side of the lake, crawling up to the sand. Indeed, Abby's hands were pruney, but she didnt care about that so much... so cared more about her guitar that anything! With rapid movements, she took her guitar off her back, placed it on a rock, unwrapped it, and inspected it like a cop over a body; very carefully that is. When her inspection was done, she smiled and sighed a bit, letting her clothing dry out some while she waited for Cas.

Mirage launched out of the water with Cassie on her back and gently lowered her to the ground next to Abby. Cassie took her hair out for her normal bun and let it cascade down her back. after fanning it out around her shoulders to dry she started to inspect her bag to see if the water had damaged her things.
She nodded to her self when she found everything in good condition. she took out food and set it out for her Pokemon and herself. Scorch were released soon after. "Hey Abby you hungry?" she asked as she held out an extra sandwich.

Abby shrugged a bit and grabbed hold of the sandwich that Cas offered her. Abby broke it in half and released Ivy, giving her a Berry and the other part of her Berry as soon as she got out of the ball.
Ivy was about to rant to Abby about cutting her short earlier, but before she could utter a sound, food was shoved in her direction. Shocked, but certainly happy with it, she ate it without a word, scoffing down the Berry in a few seconds. Abby chuckled and looked at her special Treecko, smiling.
"Nice work Ivy... you did a good job!" Ivy flushed a bit but smirked happily, nomming the sandwich. Without hesitation, Abby brought out the rest of her Pokemon, bringing out 3 more sandwiches and splitting them in half, giving the last half to Cassie. "Well, it isnt a rice ball but still..." However, though, Abby had this odd feeling in the back of her mind, like something was watching her...

"What is it with you and rice balls?" Cassie asked as she laid back in the grass. "They aren't all that great."
"You know what i could go for? Some ..." Cassie paused and looked around. It felt like something had their eyes on them. She put her sandwich down on it's wrappings and tugged her bag close. Just in case.
Oasis seeing the unattended food quickly stuffed it in his mouth. "Hey Oasis! that was mine." Oasis licked his chops and looked away in a guilty manner.

Mmm... was was that ever-so-delightful and enticing smell that just so happened to float across the massive lake on the breeze? My my, these trainers suuure didn't know how to keep wild pokemon away, did they? The dark expanse seemed to grow as it followed them to the shore, hovering by the lakeside as they climbed out and began to eat. Mmm... it was just too good to be true! While the girls and their pokemon got everything settled, a slight froth collected at the edge of the land, the water itself churning before two more forms erupted from the darkness below. They were both lunging towards the food, Remoraid's attempts a little sad as he flopped around on the land and back into the water after the failed attempt. However, his buddy Carvanha lashed his chompers out at the girls, almost snatching a sandwich before he too flopped back into the water. They looked pretty intent on fighting for the food, and the red and blue pokemon wiggled his tail, ready to leap back out, and next time, he'd have much better aim.

Slightly surprised by the sudden disturbance of yet even MORE water Pokemon, Abby had the reaction quick enough to get up and prepare herself for the battle. Although she was tempted to let Ivy bring about another round, she declined the Grass Pokemon another round, and instead looked for her feline friend. "Missy! Its your turn! C'mon!" Missy, although slightly surprised, didnt decline and immediately brought up a fighting stance, already bringing out a fierce Scratch attack at the Remoraid.

Seeing that Abby had the Remoraid under control. "Alright who 's up?" Cassie asked her Pokemon.
Mirage was the first to respond by attacking with an Aura Sphere.

Remoraid flopped back into the water for safty. once there he squrited out a Water Gun

The most that Missy felt from the shot was a dull thumping on her head that smarted a bit, but not very much. She grumbled under her breath, glaring at the Remoraid and rubbing her injury. "Why you little..." Without hesitation, she launched at the water Pokemon once again and gave it a good Scratching.

The Carvanha growled in frustration as the Aura Sphere hit him nicely, sending him back a bit, but he couldn't stop there. He wanted his food and gosh darnit he was getting his food! With a small growl he launched himself up and opened his maw to Bite upon Mirage.

Mirage hissed more in anger then in pain and shot off another Aura Sphere to get him off and sent him flying back in the water.

Maybe land creatures were stronger then he had originally though. he was almost worn out because of the cat. Well he wasn't going to quit without a fight. He shot off another Water Gun.

Missy certainly felt that one, being pushed back a bit, and what was even worse for her was the fact that she was totally soaked now! Why would fate be so cruel as to do this to her perfect sheen?! Saddened and infuriated, Missy launched herself at the Remoraid, giving it another taste of her Scratch attack.

Carvanha felt like he was close on the brink of his annilhilation, barely able to hold on... But he still had one move he could try out. It could save the day, it could not, but he wanted those sandwiches that bad! With a shout, he launched himself again and unleashed a Rage attack, his final attack.

Mirage smirked victory would be hers. Just because she could, she mocked the fish by using it's own type of attack against him. A simple BubbleBeam struck the Carvanha.

Abby, smiling and patting Missy on the head, gave her a towel to dry herself off. Although grumbling a bit about her matted fur, she accepted the towel anyways and hastily dried herself, Ivy snickering at her the whole time. Abby rolled her eyes and nodded, starting to pack up her things. "Yeah, i would think that would be the way to the next town... hopefully i can replenish my supplies and such while we are there..." Abby smiled and looked at Cas, returning all her Pokemon save Missy, who after drying, clung to her back. "Ready?"

"Yup." Cassie went to scoop up her bag but Arid beat her to it and used his claws to lift it on his back. "Oh no you don't you already went through two battles..." Arid gave her a pitiful look and hugged the bag "Fine carry the dang think."
"SKOO!" his front claws waved in victory as Cassie shook her head and followed Abby along the road with her four Pokemon trailing behind.
