Even though the Mew was small she had no problem pulling Cassie through the deep water. They were no longer racing, just keeping pace with the others as they floated towards the other shore.
While Cassie didn't mind being in the water the mass expanse of deep dark water made her slightly uneasy. "just like last time Mirage. You let me know if you sense anything headed our way. I don't want to be taken by surprise."
Mirage nodded. For a long time they just drifted through the water watching fish Pokemon jump out of the water around them at a safe distance and others swim on the surface. Mirage hissed as some came too close for her comfort.

Oasis chugged merrily along, trying to conserve himself as he helped Abby along the lake. Abby, being ever so carefree, just drifted along, not having a care in the world, even after she stroked the sides of a few friendly Magikarp and Lotad. "Ahhhh... such a nice day, eh Cas? I think i will forgive you for pushing me in the water I am in such a good mood at the moment~" She chuckled a bit and sang a small tune, wanting to pull out her guitar, but not wanting to mess up it plastic water proof coating.

Abby may have stumbled upon a few friendly pokemon, but not all of them were that way, unfortunately. Before they could progress any further, a rather large Staryu blocked their path, the water underneath it becoming dark and murky. What... was going on? It said nothing and simply moved from side to side in case they tried to pass, the red gem in its center seeming to stare right into their souls. Meanwhile, an oblivious Krabby floated by, arching a brow at the sight of the trainers. Meh, he was bored... a battle sounded like good fun. Floating sideways, the pokemon actually managed to position himself with his face facing the two girls, pinsirs clacking together challengingly.
"Koo-keh!" he cried, little legs swimming about. The Staryu... just stared.

Cassie leaned in to whisper into Mirage's ear. "I'm going to call out Arid. Can you use your psychic abilities to keep him out of the water so he can attack. Mirage nodded. and Cassie felt for Arid's Pokeball.
"Show then what you're made of Arid. Poison sting!!"
Arid took a minute to get use to being held in the air by Mirage before firing his attack.

The Staryu just stared at the floating Skorupi and was pushed back a bit by the attack. However, being the... unfazed Pokemon it was, it returned back with as much gusto as it should have, unleashing a Water Gun attack. It knew it didnt have much time left on it, feeling the poison activate.

Abby, once she realized that Skorupi was being held afloat by Mirage's psychic power, was quite PO'd at Cassie for making her get all wet again for no reason. "Cas, REALLY? why didnt you ask Mirage to do that FIRST for US? Gah!" Abby then looked at Mirage and nodded at her. "Please make it for two!" Abby reached down and threw out Ivy's Pokeball, thinking that some Training with her would be a good idea... "Ivy! Use Energy Ball!" As Ivy was falling down from the air, she unleashed her attack upon the Krabby.

"Wounderful Arid now attack with a Twineedle." Cassie cheered as Arid landed a powerful Poison sting. She heard Abby's cry for help and instructed Mirage to lift Ivy above the water like Arid. Mirage did so with a sigh.
Arid nodded and took aim for his next attack.
Cassie splashed Abby "Cause this is easier on my poor over worked Pokemon. Why should I make Mirage lift such a heavy weight?"

Abby hung her mouth open, if only for a second because of the water below her, and she would have gone full out rage on Cas for calling her fat, but was too focused on the battle. "HMPH! Just for that, no rice cakes... Ivy! Another Energy Ball!" Ivy was equally surprised at the comment but unleashed another ball without a word, still finding it weird to float on water.

The Staryu suddenly seized up, the poisons locking his body up, and he suddenly went rigid...er, sinking to the bottom of the lake. Later on, he would be cured of his poison by a sunken berry but for now, it was a victory for Arid and Cassie!

Was defeating that Staryu some sort of test...? As it sunk to the bottom, its red gem blinking mysteriously up from the depths at the two girls, the black patch of darkness got bigger, and suddenly two more pokemon burst out from the depths. One was large and pink, two hand-like protrusions slapping the water as it landed. The other was some sort of creepy fish, intent of taking up the Staryu's old job as the-weird-pokemon-who-stared-at-things. The Alomomola snorted and flailed about, shrieking a war cry before lunging at Abby. Basculin sort of moved out of her way, looking solely at Cassie now.

Abby was taken aback by the sudden springing upon by the Alomomola but Ivy was quick enough to start off the attack, defending them both with a Energy Ball. She highly doubted she would be using anything but against these water pokemon.

Arid jumped and clamped the Basculin in his jaws with a bite attack and flung him away from his trainer.

Ivy was hit fairly well but she wasn't about to get beaten by some lowly Alomomola... especially a nutty one! "GAH! IM GONNA BLAST YOU AWAY!" Ivy then unleashed another fairly good Energy Ball straight at the Alomomola.

The Basculin wasn't expecting the attack at all and was flung away a bit, but soon regained himself and decided to go straight at Arid with a Headbutt in the water, zooming along like a waterski.

Abby, although she admired the tenacity of the Alomomola, couldn't reach and find her last Pokeball to catch the sucker of a Pokemon, and Ivy, she didnt think, would like it very much if she did catch it. Ivy of course, felt the attack pretty well, getting thrown a bit at it. With a scowl, she unleashed another Energy ball at the water Pokemon. "GAHHHH!"

"Finish it Arid!" Cassie shouted "use Knock off."
With the Basculin close with his headbutt attack Arid only needed to slam his tail around him for the attack to land.

Ivy huffed a sigh of relief at her double victory, smirking a bit in self pride. "Well, after all, I am such a perfect Poke-" And she was cut off as Abby returned her in her ball, a bit bothered by something. It could have been nothing, but at the same time seemed a bit... odd. She tapped on Oasis's back and directed him towards the shore, which wasn't to far away. "Lets head for shore... Im starting to get all pruny!"
