Lee was about to answer Akira's question when Hiroaki answered for him. Lee glanced over to Hiroaki as he explained the Gustella gym leader. Flying pokemon, eh? Well now things made sense. Lee continued listening to Hiroaki then when he looked at him, Lee simply shrugged his shoulders. "That's news to me. I'm new to all this and didn't even know that." he stated as he looked between Hiroaki and Akira.
He grabbed the pokeball from where he had secured it and stared at it for a few moments. Finally he spoke up. "I guess this makes a little more sense now. I was given a Pikachu and said he would be useful for my gym battles. Electric types are good against flying. I know that much." Lee then tucked the pokeball back in place. It all made sense now. His father must have known the types for various gyms, or atleast the type for his first gym battle, and sent this to him to give him an advantage.
Well his father certainly proved helpful right off the bat. That was a bit of comfort to Lee's mind. Lee glanced down at Vincent. He was a bug type. He would have a serious disadvantage against Wendy and her flying pokemon. His Confusion would prove useful, if nothing else, but over all Vincent wouldn't be the best choice to use against Wendy if Lee could help it. Hopefully Maverick could do the trick. Too bad Lee didn't have another pokemon for back up that wasn't at a disadvantage.

"Fly...ing...types?" Akira asked, shaking slightly. She barely even heard anything else that Lee or Hiroaki said, her thoughts were completely consumed with fear. She still had nightmares about being attacked by Tailow and the last thing she needed was to start panicking again.
"Um...Hey, there's no real reason we NEED to go to Gustella, right? I mean, there must be other cities with gyms right? We can just zip right through Gustella and go to one of those," she suggested nervously, trying to stop herself from shaking.

Hiroaki looked at Akira and listen to what she said before he said gently, "That depends are any of you a breeder or a trainer. If so I believe Gustella would be the best place to start for you." He was being at gentle as he can be as he spoke those words. He believe there is some reason why Akira would like to avoid the town but he knew it will be a good start of their adventure if they were a breeder or a trainers. He had also heard Lee and gave a smile to him as he said, "That's good that you have an electric type Lee. That will defiantly be helpful in the gym battle."
Brianna looked at the trainers before her wondering what could be the hold up. She would like to continue on but she wasn't going to try to get the trainers before to hurry up and continue.

While the group was talking amongst themselves, a small group of Pokemon approached them. They peered out of the bushes at first, looking to one another as if coordinating an attack. The first to strike was an eager looking Tailow. She swooped out of the bushes squawking loudly. She was eager to obtain the prize: the berries that the new trainers always had.  Gender: Female Level: 8 Ability: Guts Moves: Peck, Growl, Focus Energy, Quick Attack Hit Points: 15 The next Pokemon to emerge was a Bellsprout. He didn't seem really happy to be attacking new trainers, but he dared not argue with Tailow. She had a fierce temper when she wanted to..  Gender: Male Level: 7 Ability: Chlorophyll Moves: Vine Whip, Growth Hit Points: 15 The final Pokemon to emerge was an irritable Poochyena. He really didn't want to be helping Tailow attack these trainers, but she had insisted he woke up to do this. Whatever.. Akira was about to respond when she heard a rustling in the bushes nearby and a familiar squawking sound. Turning around slowly, she saw the source of the sound was a Tailow that had shown up. She almost immediately ran as far from it as she could, though it continued following her until she removed one of her Pokeballs and tossing it out to fight. "Keima, HELP ME!" she said nervously as the Zangoose was released from his Pokeball and blearily looked at the approaching Tailow. Glaring at it, his eyes flashed with a threatening Leer.

Hiroaki glance up when he heard the squawking and grew excited to see the bird type Pokemon but he then gave a sad sigh when he saw that Akira was being chase by it and that she called out a Zangoose to battle against it. It seems he went too slow at going into attacking the bird Pokemon but its all well and good. He just hopes that their will be more about soon so he can catch his own Taillow some other time. He then glance at the two remaining Pokemon, a Bellsprout and a Poochyena. He looked carefully at the two Pokemon but he figured he will work better with Poochyena then Bellsprout. Though he did know that Bellsprout are good to use in contest just as much as Poochyena's.
He looked at Brianna and said, "I won't be using you for this battle this time girl. I'll use Saraid okay. You just watch the battle and cheer for her okay." Brianna was sad to hear this but nodded her head in agreement. Hiroaki smiled and toss Saraid's Pokeball in the air to let her out. "Seraid I need your help girl," he said. Soon the Clamperl was out of her ball and opened up seeming to be ready for battle. "Let's start this off with a Whirlpool attack and use it on Poochyena," he called out.
Saraid gave a call of her name before she began to form a whirlpool of water just a little above her causing any sun to hit it to cause the water to sparkle beautifully. It was a successful hit and soon had the Poochyena trapped within a whirlpool of water.

Seeing Keima's attempt at intimidating her didn't do much to hinder the Tailow. If anything, she just got angrier at him and growled at him, hoping to just fly past him and get at the food Akira was probably holding.

Naturally, Keima didn't take it very well that the Tailow wouldn't just leave him alone and let him go back to sleep. Taking the chance to cut her off from attack Akira, he launched himself at her with a Quick Attack.

Seeing that he had nothing he can do since he was trapped in the whirlpool the Poochyena decided that he will raise his stats some for when the whirlpool will disperse. So he gave a Howl. But sadly he misjudge his howling and didn't feel himself grow any stronger then he already was. But he decided he will give it another try and used another Howl

He realized that he failed once again and decided that he will be better off not to try again just yet. Maybe he will have better luck the next round. That is if he survives it. But as he looked at the Clamperl and her trainer he thought he will try to impress them and tried it one last time. This time he succeeded in getting a little boost.
[RESULT: 3]
Meanwhile, Hiroaki was thinking on what move to have Saraid to use next and figured he will get her to use another of her water attacks. "That was a good job Saraid now lets try a Water Gun," he said. Saraid gave a nod of her round head and gathered water in her mouth before she shot it at the Poochyena trapped inside her previous Whirlpool attack. The attack was successful and gave the Poochyena a massive amount of damage. Upon seeing this Hiroaki decided that the Poochyena has had enough damage done to him and grabbed one of his empty Pokeballs. He then toss it at the weaken Poochyena
[RESULT: 8] + 1
Poochyena: 1/15 (Pokeball heading to him.

Hoping to finish this battle soon, Keima lashed out with a Scratch attack.
[RESULT: 0] -1 Growl
Realizing that she had nothing else to worry about from her opponent, Tailow lashed out with Peck at her attacked furiously.
[RESULT: 8]
Now really starting to get irritated, Keima tried a Night Slash.

Hiroaki was sure that he has captured the Poochyena but just in case he kept watch on the ball while he watched the remaining battles before him. It seems Akira was doing well in the battle against Taillow and though he noticed that she had been afraid at first that she seems to be doing fine now.
Taillow was noticing that her energy was low but being the species she is she wasn't about to give up on this battle. She wanted those berries that she was sure Akira had and was willing to go all out at getting them. Thinking quickly she used Quick Attack at the Zangoose and did a pretty good amount of damage to him.

Seeing Tailow flying at him, Keima decided to retaliate with his own Quick Attack, causing the two to collide in the air.
Both Pokemon fell to the ground as Tailow lay there, trying her best to get back up. Keima on the other hand had decided to just forget anything important was going on and had fallen back asleep. "K-Keima! Wake up! We can't just leave her there!" Akira called to him to no avail. Looking at the Tailow with a sigh, she knew that she couldn't just leave the poor thing there in good conscience. Approaching her slowly, Akira took a berry out and held it ahead of her as a peace offering, hoping Tailow didn't attack again.

"Um. I don't know about you, but I have to challenge that gym leader. With Maverick, I'll have an advantage and this may be the best shot I've got at getting my first gym badge." Lee stated to Akira when she suggested going to another town. She seemed okay with going to Gustella Town until just now. He was now confused. Just what was up with Gustella town that suddenly she didn't want to go?
But before he could further pursue that mystery, some pokemon showed up. The Tailow and Poochyena were already claimed before Lee could select a pokemon of his own to battle. That left him with Bellsprout. He looked over at Vincent, who seemed ready to rise to the challenge. "Vincent, I choose you!" Vincent nodded his head and hopped infront of the Bellsprout, prepared to do battle.
Lee grinned wide. Unlike last time, this was a one on one battle. He'd get to further test Vincent in combat. "Confusion!" Lee shouted to his Venonat. Vincent gathered up energy for the attack.
[RESULT: 2]
The glow around Vincent was dim. Confusion was a new move for the Venonat but he managed it anyway, if only just. The confusion hit Bellsprout, but Vincent was stronger than it. In one shot, the Bellsprout was out. Vincent walked back toward Lee as his trainer glanced over at the others. Well, that battle was certainly over quick. Lee hoped he'd have the chance for more drawn out battles in the future to give him more experience.
Also, he hoped to catch more pokemon in the future as well. He would need a variety of pokemon to help him with the gym leaders.

The Tailow had been pummeled by that last attack. She was feeling very tired, and she wanted those berries..She didn't expect to be taken in by the breeder, so it took her by surprise. She gave a reluctant chirp and hobbled over to the girl. Pokemon Name: Tailow Gender: Female Pokemon Personality: Glutton, Eager, Irritable Pokemon Ability: Guts Pokemon Health: 22 Pokemon Level: 8 Move Roster: Peck, Growl, Focus Energy, Quick Attack The Poochyena was tired as well, he just wanted to nap..All of a sudden he was hit on the head with a Pokeball, being drawn into it. It shook three times before pinging a successful capture. "O-Okay. You just take this and eat it over there somewhere," Akira said nervously placing the berry on the ground and leaping away in a panic. Tailow herself made quick work of the berry and tilted her head at Akira to ask for more. "Alright, so I guess I'll call you Sumire," Akira continued. Okay, you can do this. You just need to take care of her and you can kick this fear forever, she thought to herself as Sumire flew up and onto her shoulder.
"Tai~low!" Berry! she squawked impatiently and Akira jumped back in fear.

Hiroaki smiled as Brianna jump off his shoulder and went to the Pokeball that captured the Poochyena. She then gently pick it up in her mouth and began to head back over to Hiroaki while Saraid began to hop over to him. Hiroaki knelt down, to both of their levels, and took the ball out of Brianna's mouth and gave both of his Pokemon a petting while he looked at the Pokeball that had his newly caught Poochyena in it. "I shall call you Padraic little one," he said softly. He then called Saraid back into her ball after giving her praise on a job well done and glance at his companions noticing that Akira seems timid around her new bird Pokemon.
