The Beginning

It seemed Lee got his answer rather quickly. What was going on? A sudden battle, that's what. Vincent was hit with the luster purge and Lee could only cringe as it happened. "Venonat!" he said his name and sounded quite displeased by the attack. The little guy was back up on his feet though, and now standing his ground. Lee had to give him credit for being a brave little puff of purple.

"Alright Vincent! Let's do this! Disable!" Lee shouted the attack and pointed at the Latios. Vincent hopped forward to get a better position and used Disable.

While the Latios was able to dodge most of the attacks thrown at him, the Disable stunned him long enough for the rest of the attacks to hit, sending him flying into his master. The surprised grunt pushed Latios off of him, throwing him back down.

"What the heck do you think you are doing? Get out there and finish them! Kill the trainers with Dragon Claw!" He demanded, and Latios hesitated, but obeyed nonetheless and his sickly paws glowed. He began flying right towards Jin first, his eyes promising a painless death, when a shadow overtook everyone.

"DRAGON CLAW!" Called out a voice. Suddenly a large yellow form sped past Latios and planted itself right in front of the breeder. The yellow dragon's claws glowed and it shot it's arms forward, it's attacks colliding with Latios'. Before the Grunt could react, a pink and purple ball flew towards the Latios and clocked it right on it's rotting head, pulling it inside. The owner of the ball swooped down and landed in front of it, turning around to face him with a glare. The yellow dragon moved to stand behind her, his faux blue wings folded behind his back.

"Haxorus." It growled while it's trainer folded her own wings behind her.

"Back off Team Necro. There is nothing good about what you do or who you are, and what you just tried to do is inexcusable, which gives me an excuse to do this." She said, pulling a pokeball off her belt. Tossing it into the air, another, much healthier looking Latios emerged, looking downright angry.

"Latios!" It cried while the girl crossed her arms.

"Giga Impact." She said, and with lightning speed, the Latios sped off, ramming into Team Necro with an energy. The force of the attack sent them flying, but not before the parcel one of them was carrying fell into Haxorus' arms.

"TEAM NECRO'S GOING TO HAUNT SOMEONE ELLLLLLSE!" They cried, a twinkle signaling their complete departure. Picking up the master ball, the red-headed woman turned towards the trainers, settling on Jin and handing it to him.

"This one had it's sight set on you, so you are the one who is to take it back to where it belongs." She said warmly while Haxorus went to another. he stood in front of Soteria and held out the bundle to her, unwrapping it to reveal an egg of strange descent.

Lee watches in silent victory as his Venonat's disable helped the others get their hits in. Maybe he wouldn't be so terrible at this! Though just when he thinks that, the grunt seems quite unhappy about what just happened and orders the Latios to attack again. Lee was ready to attack with Vincent again when suddenly the Dragon Claw hit. However, Lee noted the Dragon Claw did not come from Latios. No, the Dragon Claw came from a different pokemon that made the save.

Lee sighed in relief, then watched as this newcomer chased away Team Necro. Team Necro? He never really heard of them before. Then again, Lee was starting to feel like he lived under a rock until now. Lee scooped up Vincent in his arms and walked toward the group. He was handed a special item and Lee glanced over it curiously before looking at Vincent. The Venonat hopped from his arms again and looked up at Lee, seeming to indicate he wanted it.

"Alright Vincent, here you go." Lee gave the Mystic Water to Vincent. Suddenly the pokemon seemed much stronger and Lee couldn't help but wonder what exactly was in that Mystic Water. Now at level 15, Vincent could learn two possible moves. However, he already had five to begin with. Lee replaced Tackle with Confusion and the Foresight to Poison Powder.

"Wow. Little guy, you should definently be more ready for anymore of those Necro punks. You did really good, pal." Lee went to remove his cap from Venonat's head, but the pokemon wouldn't allow it. He practically squeeled in displeasure, making it clear he had become attached to Lee's cap. Lee sighed and gave up. He'd just have to get a new cap one day. "Fine. You can keep it Vincent." He patted the Venonat on top of his hat and stood upright.

Soteria was worried when the guy she learned was a part of Team Necro, told the Zombie like Latios to kill them with Dragon Claw. But, luckily, before the attack could hit the other breeder that Latios was aiming at, a Yellow dragon suddenly appeared and used a dragon claw of it's own and then she saw a pink and purple ball hit the Latios on his head and absorbed inside the ball without any trouble. She then watched in amazement as the trainer that just saved them all told Team Necro off before sending out her own Latios, though this one looked a lot better the the zombie like one, and got it to use Giga Impact on them sending them flying. Soteria covered her mouth with her hand to hold in a giggle that came forth when Team Necro was gone with their parting words.

She then watch as the 'Dragon Lady' handed the master ball that the Zombie Latios was caught in, to the male breeder of the group and said a few words to him. But then, the Haxorus from earlier caught her attention as it walked over to her causing her to look at it a bit nervously until it reveled a small bundle to her and unwrapped it to show an egg with a strange decent. Soteria was surprise to see the egg but she gently set Andreas down and took the egg as Haxorus offered it to her and held it close to her before she gave the dragon a smile. She then look at it and the trainer not sure what to say except, "Thank You. I'll take real good care of it." Grace and Flash were glad that Soteria was safe and went to her side while Andreas look up at her wagging his tail.

Kalonice, on the other hand, had watched everything proceed while Calista made her flames stronger. Finally, process was made, and the ice surrounding Crescendo melted freeing both him and Snivy and moved out of his way so he could go to either his Skarmory or to Soteria. Whichever one he choose though she figured that Soteria, since she seems like a very kind hearted girl, would do something to help Crescendo's Skarmory. The dragon lady toss something at Kalonice though which Kalonice caught and looked to see the mystic water. Calista gave a neigh and nudge her hand. Kalonice got the message and gave the mystic water to Calista to drink. Soon the flames on her mane and tail seemed to grow hotter and Calista gave a happy neigh. She then sent a small set of flames in the air, away from everyone and the trees and began to run around with flames surrounding her before she calmed down and went back to Kalonice's side. It seems Calista had learned Ember and Flame Wheel.

For a brief moment, Bice was afraid that one of the other trainers would get hurt by the Latios and glanced at Glaceon, wondering if she could pull off another Ice Beam fast enough to save them. Luckily, it quickly became clear that there was no need for Glaceon to do anything as the woman and her Haxorus arrived. "Thank you for your help Glaceon. I'll send you back home now," she said, returning the ice Pokemon to her pokeball and sending it back to Frio through the X Transceiver.

"And thank you very much miss," Bice said, dipping her head towards the woman who'd saved them. "I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't shown up when you did."

Jin was suddenly faced with a terrifying situation. The poor Latios was coming right at him, with intent to finish him. He instinctively protected Aeris with his body, waiting for the blow to land.

...Huh? Jin opened his eyes a split second later to find he was still there. A large yellow dragon Pokemon had saved him. He turned to watch the woman who had arrived on the scene call out a much healthier looking Latios. A single Giga Impact took care of everything, and the poor undead Latios was caught in a Master Ball.

The last thing he expected was what happened next. The red haired woman looked straight at Jin, handing him the Master Ball. "This one had it's sight set on you, so you are the one who is to take it back to where it belongs." His jaw dropped, looking at the Master Ball. He...had a Latios? Granted..it was undead..It had to be.." I..I feel honored that he is trusting me to return him to eternal sleep..So..Where...Where does he need to be?"

The woman looked sternly at Jin, tilting her head a little at him as if trying to decide what to say to him. After awhile, she felt a claw on her shoulder and turned to find her Haxorus, who gave her a knowing look. Nodding, she turned back to Jin and cleared her throat.

"The Abyss." She said. She was about to elaborate when she heard a ring. Looking down at the X-Transceiver on her arm, she frowned as she saw the location.

"Haxorus!" Her partner cried as he reached behind him, unfolding the wings and fixing the straps on his arms. The woman did the same and turned to the group.

"Sorry, I can't give you much more than that, I gotta get going. Latios, return!" She said, recalling her pokemon before she and her Haxorus jumped. With a pump of their arms, both trainer and pokemon were airborne, and the woman pulled her right wing towards her face while Haxorus helped her stay steady in the air. "Hurricana Leader Wyrlia reporting, I`m on my way! Hang in there Blitz! Haxorus let's go!" She cried. With another roar, Haxorus let go of his trainer and the two of them pumped their arms harder, ascending higher into the sky until they could no longer be seen. Everyone stared at the fleeing pair, wondering what had happened, but soon everyone dispersed until it was only Soteria, Kalonice and Crescendo, who was still semi-unconscious from the assault along with his Skarmory and Snivy.

Soteria looked at the woman curiously, while she held the egg close to her, and watch as she and her Haxorus took off to help someone named Blitz. Once they were out of sight she notice that the others that came to help were leaving, so she turned to look at Crescendo growing worried when she saw that he was semi-unconscious. She rush to Crescendo's side and gently set her egg down and gently touched Crescendo's shoulder as she said softly, "Crescendo are you and Snivy alright." She was also worried about Skarmory but her attention was on Crescendo and his Snivy right now.

Grace, Flash, and Andreas gathered around the egg, putting it between them, so that they can keep the egg warm while Soteria looked after Crescendo and the Pokemon that where hurt. Flash was doing fine since he didn't get much damage and Grace was fine because the attack from the zombie Latios had no effect on her.

Meanwhile, once Kalonice was sure that Soteria, Crescendo, and their Pokemon were alright she glance at the breeder that was given the master ball holding the zombie Latios. She was curious about him and his Pokemon and figured that she may join him, when he decides to leave, and learn more about him. Not wanting to disturb the two she moved over to Jin with Calista by her said and said, "Hello, are you alright?" She had grown very worried for his safety when she saw the zombie Latios heading at him with it's Dragon Claw before he was stopped.

Taking a deep breath, Skarmory picked himself up and sauntered over to Soteria and his trainer, bending his neck to get a closer look at Crescendo.

"Skar?" The pokemon asked, gently tapping the boys face with his beak. Crescendo groaned as he came to, his vision blurry. When he opened his eyes, he stared into the yellow eyes of his Skarmory. Blinking rapidly, Crescendo tried to sit up when he registered that something was on his shoulder. He looked to his side and saw Soteria watching him with concerned eyes and his cheeks reddened ever so slightly.

"Uh, hello there. Did we win?" He asked carefully, looking around for the pokemon that attacked him.

Soteria watched as Crescendo turned to look at her when he felt her hand on his shoulder. She had seen him blush but she smiled softly and answered his question, "Yeah we won though we had help from a gym leader named Wyrlia. And I got an egg from her." She then move her hand off of his shoulder long enough to get the egg between her three Pokemon so she could show it to Crescendo before she held it close as her Pokemon gathered around her. "I'm glad your alright Crescendo. I'm sorry I wasn't of much help," she said softly looking down. Her three Pokemon nuzzled her in order to give her comfort before she turned to look at Skarmory. "Skarmory thank you for saving me but are you alright," she asked him softly.

Kalonice glance at the two of them and figured she will say her goodbye now. "Goodbye my friends I hope we will meet again," she said before she left the area without another word while Calista walked by her side.

Skarmory warbled at Soteria and tapped her face with his beak, showing his appreciation for her concern while Crescendo tilted his head in thought, almost forgetting to wave goodbye to Kalonice as he remembered the events prior to now.

"Really? A Gym Leader saved us? How long was I out? I only remember smelling something nasty and getting thrown into a tree." He mumbled, struggling to get up. Skarmory leaned forward and allowed Crescendo to grab his head and pulled him up, sliding his neck under the boy and tossing him on his back once more. With a slightly-pained sigh, Crescendo grabbed a pokeball and quietly recalled his Snivy before turning to Soteria, noting her egg and her apologies. With a smile he tapped Skarmory who leaned down to let her back on him.

"Skarmory!" He chirped, inviting her back up.

"That is quite an unusual egg, nothing like I have seen before. And do not worry, I did not want you to get involved. See what happened to me when I did?" He said, chuckling.

Soteria smiled, and once she was sure she had a good grip on her egg, she freed her hand and gently patted Skarmory's beak once he tapped her with it and looked at Crescendo as Skarmory helped him up onto his back before he called his Snivy into its Pokeball before he got Skarmory to lean back down so she could get back on his back with Crescendo. Once she was set securely on Skarmory's back her three Pokemon jump on as well. Grace jumped on one shoulder while Flash jumped onto the other. Andreas jumped to get on Soteria's head causing the breeder to giggle softly. She then looked at Crescendo and said, "But I got involved anyway, especially when you were knock back against a tree and Ice Beamed to it."

"PIDGEOT," she suddenly heard and looked up to see a Pidgeotto heading their way with something in it's talons. "What's this about," she said softly surprised when the Pidgeotto flew straight to her and just stopped a few inches away from her smiling in his strange way before he motion for her to free one of her hands and open it. Soteria did so and soon she felt something round place in her hand. When she looked she saw a Pokeball which confused her and caused her to look once more at Pidgeotto who was holding a piece of paper gently in his talon and holding it out to her. Soteria took the paper and opened to see a letter address to her.

It said, "Dear Tory, I hope you are doing well in your new home. I have a feeling that you have begun your journey as a breeder as I have as well. Well on my journey I came across this little one being attacked by some angry Poliwags. I was able to defeat them but this girl was hurt so I captured her and took her to the nearby Pokemon Center. After she was healed I let her out of her Pokeball and thought of you so I figured I will send her to you by using Darin here. You can give her any name you wish to give her and I hope she will keep you safe on your journey there in the Varaia Region. Your friend, Zane.

Soteria smiled when she finish the letter realizing that it was from her dear friend Zane. She wrote a small letter to Zane and gave it to Darin before given him a pat and sending him on his way. Once the Pidgeotto was gone Soteria looked at the Pokeball wondering what her friend sent her. She looked at Crescendo and said, "This is from my childhood friend Zane. I wonder what it could be." She then cause the ball to grow before tossing it up in the air and watch as it opened and a white light took form of a female Sandshrew who looked very shy.

Crescendo chuckled softly at her concern and gave her a warm smile. He tilted his head in confusion at her when the Pidgeotto came and went, and his eyes widened at the appearence of the sandshrew. With another warm smile, he moved back slowly on his Skarmory.

"Welcome to the group, little one." He greeted it.

Soteria smiled softly when she saw the Sandshrew. She carefully position the egg in her lap so she could reach out for her, without scaring her. The Sandshrew looked at her curiously before she jump into Soteria's lap with Andreas and the egg and then looked up at her tilting her head slightly. "You're so cute. As Crescendo said, welcome to the group little one. I'm going to call you Cora," Soteria said softly giving the Sandshrew a gentle pat on her head which caused the Sandshrew to smile and cuddle against Soteria and gave her odd nuzzle which caused Soteria to laugh softly. "I see you like that name girl. But you will have to go back into your Pokeball since there isn't much room for Skarmory to carry us all," she said and once she was sure Cora understood her she called her back into her ball and looked at Flash and Grace. Thanks to the professor she had their Pokeballs but she really didn't want to return them to it. She figured it will best to do so anyway and said, "I'm sorry Grace and Flash. I know the two of you don't like being cooped up in your Pokeballs but like I said to Cora there might not be enough room to leave you two out of your Pokeballs since Andreas and the egg will be out her."

Grace and Flash looked at Tory and then at each other before giving a nod to each other in silent agreement that she was correct and nodded at her to let her know she can return them to their balls for now. Soteria nodded and got the two balls out to call the two of them back into them and placed the balls securely inside her bag before she looked at Crescendo and gave a soft smile. "I'm ready to continue when you are Crescendo." She won't feel lonely with him and Andreas with her as well as Skarmory. She held the egg close to her and made sure Andreas was safely secure.

Crescendo nodded and smiled at her, tapping his Skarmory gently with his heels.

"Skarmory, let's go back to Gustella, I am tired, and I`m sure you are too. The sooner we get there, the sooner you can sleep." He said, turning back around on the bird till he was facing forward. With a deep sigh, he gripped the long neck tightly, leaning back slightly as Skarmory opened his wings once more.

"Skar!" He cried.

"Hold on tight Soteria!" Crescendo yelled. Skarmory leapt into the air as Soteria obeyed, and soon the trio were off to Gustella Town.
