Eh. That wasn't too bad, he guessed. Although the flailing of Torchic was quite annoying, the Drifloon found that it didn't really hurt like he thought it would. But still. Very annoying. For a moment he kept the fire type in his binds, only letting go to randomly jump at her again, putting on the scariest face he could and puffing out to his full extent as he tried to use Astonish.

Torchic was only slightly harmed by the Drifloon's Astonish, getting more irritated than scared or harmed. "Torchic! Another Flamethrower!" Amy instructed as Torchic released more flames at Drifloon in her fury.

WHY? WHYYYY?! Anything but the fire! Drifloon shriveled again for a moment, tendrils clinging to his face as he zoomed around, trying to put the fire out. Thankfully it didn't take long for the flames to douse, and to try and get revenge, he curled his strings around Torchic again, constricting her as he tried to float away. Too... weak... to carry... too... fat... a pokemon!

"Torchic! Peck!" Amy said, seeing that the fire seemed to hurt the poor Drifloon a lot more than just pecking it did. Torchic was more than happy to agree, already angry at the Drifloon for trying to kidnap her in the first place. The Drifloon deflated slightly when Torchic attacked before falling to the ground, leaving Torchic to drop the few inches it had lifted her and run back to her trainer. "Good girl. Eat up," Amy said, retrieving an Oran Berry and giving it to Torchic, who began eating it slowly, one small bite at a time.

Although that nuisance was gone, it seemed their troubles weren't quite over yet. A lone, rather solemn Misdreavus suddenly appeared, hovering over the breeder and her pokemon curiously. Hmm... wasn't this an interesting lot. Somehow managed to stay alive and rather healthy after all this time... how could that be? He pondered the possibility to himself for a few moments until it finally hit him. He smelled food! Well, that wasn't very fair. Wild pokemon didn't have berries to much on. So, before Amy could react, the Misdreavus swooped down and snatched Amy's bag from her, setting it in a tree before snickering. Oops~

"Our food!" Amy shouted as the bag was taken from her before realizing something worse. "The egg! Torchic, go get it back!" she said panicking.
"Tor!" Can do! Torchic said, still riled up from their last battle and growling at the Misdreavus as a sort of challenge to the ghost Pokemon.

How sad! The Torchic couldn't muster up anything better than that? And the trainer wasn't going to send out her Zorua, who clearly had a better attack against his typing? Tisk tisk. Poor little girl all lost in the woods with no-one to help her! That only made Misdreavus chuckle some more, and after it was done, it sighed. Time for it to attack, it supposed. The gems around his neck started to ripple before a wave of colors beamed towards Torchic, the Psywave sort of engulfing the small creature.

Chuckling wasn't exactly the reaction Torchic was expecting from Misdreavus and the Psywave that came after wasn't much better, even if it was weakened. "Torchic! Flamethrower!" Amy called to the Pokemon, who released her usual stream of fire at Misdreavus.

Oof! That smarted. Misdreavus hung back for a moment, using the billows of its hair or whatever that was to try and put out the fire. He wasn't going to whine about it like Drifloon had, but it still wasn't very pleasant. Again, his beads began to glow and he sent forth another Psywave, trying to strike back against Torchic.

Prepared for the attack this time, Torchic leaped out of the way elegantly. "Torchic! You handle this while I get the bag back!" Amy called to her Pokemon as she ran towards the tree. Torchic immediately followed her trainer's instructions and sent another Flamethrower towards Misdreavus.

Oh no no no, that was not how this game worked~ with Amy off to try and rescue her bag, the Misdreavus was easily distracted, but that didn't mean he wasn't aware of Torchic. He easily floated past the Flamethrower and grabbed the bag before the girl could get to it, placing it on a higher branch, unaware of the egg within that was slowly beginning to shake. He tisked once more, focusing back on his opponent and releasing another Psywave.

Once again, Torchic dodged the Psywave again cheerfully. "Tor~chic!" I'm wai~ting! she mocked happily, dancing from foot to foot.
"Torchic! Focus!" Amy called to the small chick as she attempted to climb up the tree unsuccessfully. Torchic brought herself back to attention and sent out a third Flamethrower at Misdreavus.

He supposed he deserved that little bit from Torchic. Misdreavus rolled his eyes, sighing as he prepared another Psywave, waiting a few moments before letting it loose. He was getting rather tired... but had no intentions of letting the girl's bag down anytime soon.

Happily dancing to celebrate her hit, Torchic barely managed to avoid the main part of the Psywave, but ended up hurt anyway. Turning back to face Misdreavus, she flung herself at the ghost Pokemon, her beak glowing white until just before she struck Misdreavus, knocking him out of the air. "Great job Torchic! Now if only we could find Zorua," she said, realizing that the fox had been gone since his fight had ended.
"Zoru?" What? Zorua asked, poking his head out from the tree branches above Amy's head.
"Why didn't you do anything to help us?" Amy asked him but dropped it quickly. "Just go get the bag for us, okay? And don't drop the egg."

With that last hard hit from the Flamethrower, Misdreavus was certainly down for the count. However, before he fainted, he squirmed backwards in an attempt to get rid of the flames and actually floated up high enough in his attempts that he nudged Amy's bag. Thankfully the flames were gone once he reached that point, but when he finally fell, the bag went down with him. The pokemon ended up breaking the fall of the girl's things, but when he squirmed out from underneath it and finally fled, a soft 'plink' could be heard.
Even though the landing was soft, the egg case that Trevor had given her still broke open, the striped oval slowly rolling freely out from the parcel. After a few violent shakes the shape began to glow, and after a more significant cracking noise, a very small, very round pokemon was left behind. The green bird blinked and sat down, looking around for something. There was no-one here to take care of her? That... that wasn't good. Although she wasn't very vocal, this time was an emergency. Tilting her head back, her beak parted and she wailed, a pitiful cheeping noise indeed.
"NAAAAAAAATUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Maaaaaaaaamaaaaaa!
