"There we go," Amy said, putting aside the towel she had been using and examining her newly cleaned egg. Beside her, Torchic and Zorua both sat looking at the egg curiously. "We should make sure it stays clean if it's going to be staying with us, right?" she asked both of them, placing the egg back in it's case.
"Torc!" You did a good job! Torchic chirped cheerfully, looking into the case eagerly.
"You're pretty happy today, huh?" Amy asked with a laugh, placing the case back into her bag and climbing to her feet. She'd backtracked a bit, but she should be able to find some Pokemon here to help train her Pokemon. From what she knew, eggs would hatch faster when they were around active trainers, which meant battling should speed up the process.

Well well well. If a little girl and her pokemon hadn't meandered into her part of the forest! Seeing an opportunity to feed, a little Litwick suddenly appeared out from the shadows, its flame casting an eerie glow on the area. She slowly crept closer to the group, waving her hand downwards in a beckoning motion.
"Litwick!" she chirped cutely, staring at the girl's pokemon. Souls!
Level: 7

Ability: Flame Body
Moveset: Ember, Astonish, Minimize, Smog, Fire Spin

"Eek!" Amy shrieked as the Litwick appeared in front of her, apparently out of nowhere. "W-What do you want?" Amy asked nervously as Zorua bared his teeth at the Litwick. "Zorua! Protect your friends!" she said as Zorua jumped at the Litwick, biting down on her as hard as he could.

...Ffffffft! Stupid Zorua getting in the way of her feeding! Angrily she tried to shake the little rat off, however, she found the closeness of the pokemon to be beneficial. Her flame seemed to expand, and she closed her eyes as she tried to feed off of his energy. Mmmm, yes... tasty energy! When her eyes shot back open, her flame took over his body, locking him in a Fire Spin.

As Zorua was engulfed in flames from the Fire Spin, he had no other choice but to release his grip on Litwick. "Zorua, are you okay?!" Amy asked worriedly before Zorua struggled back to his feet. "Um...use Leer now!" she instructed as Zorua's eyes glowed menacingly at Litwick.

Eep. The pokemon stepped backwards a bit as Zorua stared her down, but she was back up in front in a flash. Hah, like that would do much damage to her! Sizing up the dark fox again, she suddenly rushed forward, her flame protruding and face contorting into something wicked as she tried an Astonish.

Zorua tried his best to dodge Litwick's attack, but still got hurt a bit from it. "Zorua! Use Bite now!" Amy called as Zorua leaped at the ghost Pokemon with his jaws opened wide to bite down.

Gah. This... this battle almost wasn't worth it. At least she'd fed off of the Zorua's energy force, right? So if she fainted, there wouldn't be a complete loss. Litwick slowly brought herself to a standing position and seared her flame forward one last time, cloaking the Zorua in an Ember.

Amy wasn't as nervous about Zorua this time, seeing him stand to his feet almost immediately and leaping at Litwick for one final Bite attack. Almost as soon as he bit down, Litwick's flame flickered slightly before she feel to the ground unconscious. "Poor thing," Amy said with a sigh, reaching into her bag for an Oran berry and tossing it to Zorua. "There you go. You've earned it," she said as Zorua eagerly devoured the berry.

And then it was over. From the edge of some trees, a pair of dark eyes blinked. My my, what a battle. He wanted in on it too, and not just to try and carry off the trainer and kidnap her either! Slowly, the Drifloon floated towards the girl and her pokemon, expanding slightly to show his eagerness.
"Looooooon~!" he chanted, waving his tendrils.

"Tor!" Ready! Torchic chirped, releasing a Flamethrower at the Drifloon out of eagerness, though he drifted out of the way.

Well. That was pathetic. The Drifloon snickered and twirled about, mocking the pokemon before floating forward and wrapping Torchic in a constrict. He'd carry away something!

Owwie! Owowowowow! The Drifloon wailed, flailing back and forth as the flames seared his delicate body. Fire was not supposed to be around his kind! His body deflated in pain, however, he continued his Constrict, not giving up just yet.
