"Oh ... A last name?" Skye asked. "Uh ... Of course I have one. It's uh ....," she fidgeted. Both of them had given their last names, not that they'd really had to. First names would have been good enough. Why did they feel the need to bring last names into this?
"Rumblebuns," she muttered, as quietly as she could, hoping they'd mishear and think it was something else.

Natalie adjusted her pack and turn to walk backward to look at the embarrassed girl. "If you don't like your last name that much why don't you change it? Or just introduce yourself under a different name? I do that all the time."
She stumbled a little and quickly regained her balance. She looked down at her Trapinch. Why didn't he warn her? Oh right it had taken Venomoth a few weeks to learn to warn Natalie of things that she couldn't see.

Aldo laughed lightly to himself when he heard Skye's response. He hadn't actually thought she was avoiding her last name because she was embarrassed. If anything, he had just assumed she had just not considered it important enough to mention. "You okay?" Aldo asked, Natalie, noticing her stumbling.

"OH yeah just fine." Natalie continued to walk backwards. "I 'm just not use to having to walking without Venomoth. She use to always let me know there was something I was about to trip over. I haven't taught these two that trick yet."
She searched for something safe to talk about. "So..." she started. "are these your first Pokemon?" Yup that was a safe topic.

"So why not walk forwards? You see things better that way," Aldo told Natalie before answering her question. "And no, Riolu isn't my first Pokemon, even if he's the only one I have right now. I had another in Viridian, but I had to leave her behind."

"Cause I'm stubborn and you are strangers. I don't know you so I can't say that I trust you so I'd rather not take my eyes off of you." Natalie answered bluntly. "Sides walking backwards uses a different set of muscles so a person can walk longer then just walking forwards."
"So what Pokemon have you trained before?" Sewaddle let out a warning squeak from her shoulder and Natalie successfully dodged a a pothole in the road. "Good girl." she praised.

"A Ratatta, though I wouldn't say I trained it. More like it followed me around everywhere," Aldo told Natalie. "I managed to convince her to go home before I left, so there shouldn't be any problems."

"You can just ... change your name?" she asked. She'd never thought of doing that. In fact, it seemed dishonest. Skye didn't always tell the truth, but she didn't like to lie either.
"This is my first Pokemon," she said, listening to them talk about their past Pokemon. She was jealous, really. "I have trained with others though. At the Trainer School," she explained.

Natalie snorted at the innocence of the girl. "Sure why not? Take what just happened here. You didn't even think twice about my name being Natalie Stratos. You just took my word for it. And you would never know the difference unless you saw me sign a legal document. And really what difference does it make? It's just a name."
She stumbled slightly again then adjusted her sunglasses to make sure they weren't out of place.

"Your name isn't Natalie Stratos?" Skye asked, confused. "Why lie about it?" she asked. "I generally just leave my last name out. People don't tend to ask, normally."
Skye watched the girl. Very rudely, she blurted out, "Hey, are you blind?" as if the thought had only just occurred to her.

"That's your first Pokemon?" Aldo asked, taking a glance back at Tynamo to see that Riolu was currently matching his stare in a contest. "Stop that. It's never going to stop," he told the Pokemon.
"Rio..." But...He hasn't blinked yet, Riolu said confused.
"And you. Don't ask rude questions," he added in to Skye.

"Yes, it is my first Pokemon, and it's very strong, I assure you!" she said, defending her poor derp of a Pokemon. She sighed when she saw Riolu trying to match it in a staring contest. She wasn't sure what to do with this little Tynamo. She only hoped it was strong enough to back up her claims that it was indeed strong, though she doubted it was. She'd never admit that to anyone though.
She rolled her eyes at Aldo as he reprimanded her. "Yes Father," she muttered bitterly.

Natalie smirked. "That's for me to know and you to never find out. And no I'm not blind. I can see just fine. And no I'm not going to take them off. So don't even ask."
She spun around facing away from them. Her eyes were a sensitive subject and she hated talking about them. The last person who had seen her eyes had laughed and called her demon eyes until she had whacked him with her stick and broke his hand.
