"Delilah, no! Come back! There's wild pokemon out there and you could get hurt!" Allie called, dashing as fast as she could after the brown ball of fluff. Once she and Sander decided to go to Gustella together and had left the Lab, her new Buneary had giggled and hopped off towards the tall grass with incredible speed, both ready to start their journey and evade being withdrawn into a pokeball. Those places were too dark and scary - she wanted to be freee!
"Buneary, bun-bun!" she laughed back, turning her head to look at her new partner under a flopped ear. Why did she look so worried? All there was was grass and Pidgey flying overhead... and those were harmless! Ty, Allie's Totodile, huffed and followed the girl with a narrowed brow. Delilah wasn't supposed to make them all worry like she was! As the brown rabbit continued on, Allie turned to face Sander, a frown tugging at her lips when she noticed some of the grass moving ahead.
"I'm so sorry, I don't know what's gotten into her... but we can't let her go into the grass without us there! This place is teeming with other pokemon, and-and..."

"We didn't start our adventure yet, and there are the problems already..." Sander thinks as he sees Allie's Buneary running... well, jumping off into the wild.
Allie complained that she didn't know what's gotten into her, but Sander interrupted her. "We'd better carry our pokemon instead of letting them run after us, it will only make them tired and we may need them for a battle if your Buneary runs into a wild pokemon... Altough I hope she wont go in the tall grass..." Sander quickly said, but he knew there would be tall grass everywhere... It's where wild pokemon live their lives after all...

"Oh, carrying them is a good idea" she said, nodding and reaching down to pick up her Totodile. "Now if I could just get over to.. Delilah! Get back over here!" Of course, the more the grass wiggled, the more curious the Buneary was. When she quite literally poked her nose into the green blades and pulled it out, it was connected to the nose of another pokemon. Slowly she backed away, the wild pokemon following her, head tilted. "Goon?" It flicked its tail and frowned when she turned away to look at the pokemon behind it - a very green arachnid. The Zigzagoon, agitated that Delilah wasn't paying attention to him, barked and began scratching at the ground.
"This... isn't good. I thought we would be ok, but now it looks like Delilah's made it angry. Of course..." But Allie had to admit, they would have had to battle sometime soon if they wanted their pokemon to grow. Whipping out her Pokedex, she watched the screen as it read the first pokemon's information back to her.
"Zigzagoon, the TinyRaccoon pokemon. It walks in zigzag fashion. It is good at finding items in the grass and even in the ground." She then somewhat nervously pointed it at the green one, wincing when the Pokedex was done reading. "Spinarak, the String Spit Pokémon. Spinarak can climb any surface easily, and shoot a strong web from both the front and back of its body. Its prey is caught and held tight in its web." Contrary to what she thought, Delilah shuddered and ran back to hide behind the coordinator's ankles. "Ty, would you mind helping us out this time?"
Sighing and nodding, the Totodile stepped forward and pushed out his chest, focusing on the pokemon Allie was most scared of - Spinarak. "Okay, use Scratch!" she announced, her voice actually raising an octave on command. Ty was quick to step forward and slash at his opponent while he was distracted by the Zigzagoon's tail. He hit rather well, and the bug type cried and went flying backwards.

"So we're gonna fight eh? Alright then!" Sander said as he pulled up his Pokedex and recorded the information. "Silas, this is our first fight, and it is considered the most important one for a bond between a trainer and his first pokemon." He said to Silas. "I-I will do my best" Silas said when he rushed in front of the zigzagoon, a bit nervous for his first real battle.
"Silas, Zigzagoon is a normal type pokemon, so I want you to use Bite!

Silas's attack hit, but not as hard as Sander probably would have liked. All it really did was annoy the Zigzagoon even further, really - good thing the pokemon wasn't a Gyarados, else it would have launched a Rage attack or something. Or worse... if it were a Gyarados, it probably would have just tried to bite their heads off. Without any hesitation the spiky creature zoomed forward, heading towards his opponent in the traditional zig-zag pattern. "Goongoon!" he screeched, becoming a white and brown blur as he used a Tackle on the Larvitar.
[RESULT: 5] Resistance -1
"Oh dear, poor Silas!" Allie mumbled, the other battle distracting her for a moment. Her fingers laced together and pulled themselves up to her chin in worry, the Spinarak recovering and hoisting himself up in the meantime. Thankfully Ty was too worried about protecting the girl to turn his attention away, growling at the spider when its rear turned to face them. "Spina~" it taunted, waggling the face on its hiney at him. Ty rolled his eyes, a mistake he shouldn't have made. The pokemon silently fired a row of glowing purple needles at Allie, the Totodile flailing when he noticed and darting over to them to block the coordinator from being attacked.
[RESULT: 6]
Unfortunately, the Poison Sting was stronger than he first thought. Ty cried out and fell almost limply to the forest floor when it hit him, Allie 'eep'ing quite loudly once she noticed what had happened. "I-I'm so sorry Ty! I should have been paying more attention!" The Totodile stood after a few moments to face the smirking Spinarak, shrugging lightly. He was supposed to protect her, wasn't he? Sighing a bit shakily, the coordinator faced their opponent and muttered something to her pokemon.
"Try another Scratch o-on Spinarak." Shaking himself off, the blue pokemon rushed forward again, narrowing his gaze as he launched the blow.
[RESULT: 9]
He used as much focus and energy as possible, and it was a direct hit as a result. The bug type fell backwards without a sound, eyes little swirls to show that it had fainted. Allie gasped in shock, Ty jumping up and crying out in victory. "That.. that was great! Good job Ty!" Ty: 19/25 Silas: 22/26 __________________ Zigzagoon: 14/15 Spinarak: 0/15

The moment that Zigzagoon's attack hit, Silas yelped, giving Sander a deja-vu of his first battle in Sinnoh, which he lost... Sander really didn't want to see his starter pokemon fainting again at the first battle it had. He woke up from this trance when he heard Allie saying "Good job Ty!", then looked at the spinarak, lying on his back with swirly eyes... He yelled at Silas: "Concentrate on his movements, then aim your attack right in front of the Zigzagoon! Use Bite again, Silas!"
[RESULT: 0]
Silas jumped in the air, then attacked right in front of the Zigzagoon, but it was just too fast, causing Silas to collide with the ground. "Okay, so that doesn't help too... Why can't you just stop moving around, so I can hit you once!?" Sander yelled at the Zigzagoon. "Am I really that bad as a trainer then?" Sander wondered. Silas heard what Sander said and directly replied "Ofcourse your not a bad trainer! Actually, it's my fault... I didn't concentrate..." making a sad face. Chittering, the Zigzagoon began making tight circles around Silas, pointy jaws parted in a laugh. Oh, this was fun, fun! How long had it been since he'd had so much fun? Usually trainers were the ones giving him the beating, not the other way around! Narrowing his eyes, the normal type decided he would play around with his target a bit, prolonging their battle. Bracing himself, the pokemon used Growl, tail swishing back and forth. But... when his mouth parted for the move, no noise came out at all. Huh. Weird...
[RESULT: 0]
Meanwhile, Allie and her team were standing on the sidelines, their attention turning to Sander's battle when the Zigzagoon growled. "Oh... maybe you should go help Silas a bit, Ty?" The Totodile tilted his head at the skirmish and shrugged. He was sure the Larvitar would get an attack in soon - everyone had to find that groove to settle in. But if he needed it, and Allie wanted it, then he wouldn't object. Sidling over to the two pokemon, Ty kept himself as quiet as possible, waiting until the girl called out a Scratch attack before trying to land it on the Zigzagoon.
[RESULT: Miss]
The tiny raccoon pricked his ears and dodged Ty's hit, though, wriggling his nose in worry. This didn't look good at all... two against one? Eep. Hunkering down, the pokemon dashed off into the tall grass without any further ado, leaving the battle. Ty tilted his head, Allie rushing over to Sander in the process. "I g-guess we scared it off.. but don't worry, we'll find other pokemon soon." Picking up her Buneary, she made her way down the path a little more, signaling the boy to follow. "Oh well, we can get more battles later, Silas." Sander said as he picked the Larvitar up. He runned a bit and caught up with Allie. They walked for a time, picked some fruit from the trees and ate it, then walked some more and after some time, they encountered some wild pokemon again. A Sentret and a Pichu were playing together, then noticed Sander and Allie and their pokemon, and they were wondering they came to join the fun. So far, the little trek on route 801 was turning out to be really fun. She was enjoying Sander's company a lot, and their pokemon seemed to be getting along. Allie was playing with Delilah's ears when she and the breeder stumbled upon two more wild pokemon, and her heart leaped when she looked at the Pichu. It was adorable! And from her knowledge, they made pretty good contest pokemon. Setting her Buneary down and nudging her forward, the girl glanced over to Sander, smiling a bit.
"I'm gonna try to catch that P-Pichu, if you don't mind. Delilah, it's your turn to fight, so go on ahead now." The rabbit bounced up and down excitedly, her tail flicking along with her ears. The Pichu, thinking it was a game, cheered and bounced up and down too. "Try using Pound!" Allie commanded, her pokemon skipping forward to try and hit the Pichu, Sentret stepping back in confusion. She hit the pokemon somewhat softly, almost afraid to cause too much damage.

Just realizing she'd forgotten to pull out her Pokedex and scan the new pokemons' information, the girl rummaged around in her bag and pulled the device out, pointing it at the newest arrivals.
"Sentret, the Scout Pokémon. Sentret is able to see great distances by rising up on its tail. When it spots an enemy, or any kind of danger, it emits a loud, shrill cry as a warning." Blinking, the Pokedex soon registered the other creature, a picture of the Pichu flashing up on her screen. "Pichu, the Tiny Mouse Pokémon. A pre-evolved form of Pikachu. Despite their size, Pichu release bursts of electricity that can shock even humans. However, Pichu are unskilled at controlling their electricity, and sometimes release it by accident when surprised, or when laughing and shock themselves."
Allie sighed when she saw Azure miss and sent the Sentret packing, obviously not wanting anything to do with a battle. Delilah hopped over to the Gible and patted her back, nodding and mumbling something encouraging. "Buneary, bun-bun-bun." That Sentret wasn't worth it anyway. Maybe next time. As she was visiting the other pokemon, Pichu took it upon himself to continue playing the 'game', skittering over to Delilah before his cheeks began to spark. "Pichu!" he giggled, tagging the brown rabbit's shoulder and sending a Thundershock along with his touch.
[RESULT: 1]
"Bun!" Eep! Delilah said, jumping and turning backwards to face the yellow mouse-like pokemon again. Like she had, he didn't really want to cause too much damage - in fact, most of the attack had hit a nearby tree, knocking something onto the ground - but the electricity sent the Buneary's fur on end nevertheless. "Use Pound again when you're able" the coordinator instructed, twiddling her fingers. Delilah nodded and attempted to hit her friendly opponent again, peering around his shoulder to see something tan and.. slow creeping out at the bush. Her distraction made her miss the Pichu, but curiosity had the best of her.
[RESULT: 0]
It was a Slakoth that had appeared, lazily dragging himself through the underbrush to see what the commotion was. His fur was standing on end as well, a clear sign as to where he'd come from: it was what had been knocked out of the tree when Pichu's Thundershock went haywire. It was unsure of what had caused it to fall, but seeing a lone Gible nearby, the Slakoth decided that she would be his target. His eyes narrowed as he crawled forward, attempting to scratch it before it was close enough to. Allie turned and allowed her Pokedex to grab its information as well.

Sander saw Allie pulling up her pokedex, and then quickly pulled up his one, because of the same reason as Allie. First he recorded the Slakoth's information, then Pichu's, and then he pointed his pokedex towards the bushes where the Sentret fled. The pokedex recorded Sentret's infromation, and Sander was sure it hid in the bushes to watch his friend's battle. Not giving more attention to the Sentret, Sander turned to the Slakoth, who tried to scratch Azure, but was still too far away to hit it. "I hope this one won't run away like the other two... Azure! Use Tackle on that Slakoth!"

The Slakoth was sent rolling backwards, debris sticking to his unkempt fur along the way. That only made him angrier. Even though it took several slow moments of situating himself and scooting closer to the Gible, Slakoth finally grunted and lashed out a long arm towards Azure, using Scratch much more effectively this time. Or at least, he thought he hit her more effectively. Turned out he didn't touch anything at all!
[RESULT: 0]
Meanwhile, Pichu began laughing rather uncontrollably, kicking his feet up into the air. Apparently the other pokemon was simply hilarious, but even though the display was cute, Allie backed up. Hadn't the Pokedex said something about Pichu not being able to control themselves? Delilah followed suit and took a few steps back, however, a Thundershock hit her before she could get too far away.

"Get back in there and use Pound again, Delilah! Don't give up!" The Buneary hesitated and shook a bit, but rushed forward all the same to attack the yellow critter.

Sander finally haves some luck in those battles... He wanted to win this battle, no matter what! He just had to, after those stupid mistakes... "Now Azure! Get close to the Slakoth and use tackle again!" Sander yelled exitedly.
[RESULT: 7]
The Tackle hit the slakoth head-on and he fainted almost immediately from the impact it had. Altough it was just enough to knock the pokemon out, Azure was jumping happily, then ran to Sander as fast as she could, jumped and clamped onto his shirt with her tiny claws. Sander was happy too and Silas almost fell off of Sander's shoulder in laughter. Ty: 19/25 Silas: 22/26 Delilah: 22/24 Azure: 28/28 _____________________ Pichu: 7/15 Slakoth: 0/15

Pichu's laughing fit was over once the Buneary's attack dealt more damage than usual, and when he sat up, he appeared to be hurt. He looked even sadder when he saw that the Slakoth had been ruthlessly beaten by a shiny Gible, and when he turned to face a now confused Delilah, tears were welling in his eyes. Sniffling, the electric type stood and wailed, sparks flying everywhere and sending a Thundershock towards the rabbit.
"Hurry Deli! See if you can attack it before the sparks hit you!" The normal type tried to listen, but as soon as she hit the Pichu with Pound, the Thundershock found its way towards her and made contact.
[RESULT: 4] [RESULT: 3]
Delilah hopped away and whimpered, not particularly liking how tingly the tiny mouse's attacks were. Pichu however was wobbling back and forth, panting from the length of the battle. Seeing her chance, Allie pulled a pokeball from her bag and tossed it, the yellow pokemon hardly phased when the red light surrounded him and withdrew him into the capsule. Back and forth it rocked, both the girl and Buneary standing on their toes in suspense...
[RESULT: 3]
Suddenly, the purple ball stopped moving, and the capture was complete. Allie was trembling in excitement as she ran over to pick up the pokeball, Delilah and Ty running around and jumping in delight. "I caught him, Sander! Look!"
