Having been exhausted from their encounters with the grass pokemon, Crescendo and his group trudged into Gustella town. Crescendo looked to his friends as they neared the pokemon center, and he gave them a droll look.
"Pokemon center dead ahead. Let's go, my pokemon are tired and I am hungry." He said, marching straight ahead, knowing his friends would follow.

Jack looked at Crescendo puzzled. She normally did twice this with her brothers no problem. "You're tired? But we didn't do much. We didn't do any running, each of us only battled one Pokemon, and had a half hour lunch break."
Scarlet perched on her head gave a disagreeing whine. "Zooorua" I'm tired!! Crimson grunted agreeing with his partner. Jack gave them a quick pat but otherwise ignored them. Rest was coming soon.
"I understand Edric being tired. He walked more then we did but I can't see why you're tired. And the Pokemon are still young so that's their's what's yours?"
Jack took the Oddish riding in her bag out. "What do you think Oddish?" The grass type blushed and covered her face with her leaves. "Awww you have such a cute little blush! That's what I'm calling you from now on. Blush. What do you think?" the Oddish just blushed harder.

"Finally," Edrich sighed, glad to see the pokemon center. "I'm not too tired, but I'm sure Meema and Shroom could use a rest." Edric could see his new Shroomish attempting to gaze at him over Meema's shoulder at his new name, but he was still too tired to do so. Meema patted the slightly restless pokemon affectionately, promising he'd feel better soon.
"Adir's probably fine," Edric continued. "The bum is still sleeping." The Larvitar had been snoring away for quite some time now, and Edric hadn't really wanted to deal with him awake, but Adir was kinda heavy. His arms could use a break.
Smiling a bit at Jack's new Oddish, Edric realized he should really take advantage of the fact they'd be resting for a bit. Him and Jack were going to have to spend some time finding the breeding center. Edric sighed yet again when he realized he didn't even know where to start.
"Guys, whats the game plan after this?" Not that he wanted to be up and running immediately. Then Edric remembered that while he had been being a bit rude he had assumed they'd be heading to Gustella together, not necessarily anything more. These two had already been traveling together when he showed up. "Oh um," here came on the stuttering again. "If yanno. We're still hanging together. If you guys want."

"Well it would be easier looking to the breeder together. I say we decide if we can't stand each other after that. what about you Cres? Do you want to stay with us. After all you are a trainer not a breeder. We'd probably slow you down."
Jack held open the Pokemon Center's door. "Do you think there is food here?"

Before anyone could answer Crescendo's eyes opened wide at the yellow tape criss-crossing a rather rough looking cafeteria. A woman stepped beside the teen and patted his shoulder.
"Cool isn't it? A wild entei did that. I got a challenger who was carrying a suicune egg, and he thought she stole it. Tore up the entire cafeteria." She said. Crescendo blinked as he stared at the scene intently.
"Wow, a legendary pokemon did that?" He said in awe. The only legendary pokemon he had ever seen up to this point was his mother's Cresselia, so to hear that another legendary was nearby intrigued him greatly.
"Yep, he felt bad for tearing everything up and is helping us clean up, but he went home for today, so you won't be seeing him unless you are still here tomorrow. My name is Wendy, by the way. I`m the gym leader here." She said, winking at Crescendo before approaching the front desk with a Honchkrow and Pidgeot in tow. She leaned on her elbows against the smooth surface and started chatting away at Nurse Joy while Crescendo just stood there in shock.

Jack tilted her head in consideration. "the last time I saw an Entei it was on the way to the Abyss. It was really old and walked through town. One of my brothers and another person from town walked with it so no one would challenge it. It would be interesting to see a young legendary for once."

Edric's shock had taken hold of him, making any intelligent thought rather impossible at the moment. He had never come into any sort of contact with a legendary before, and the sheer destruction the Entei had caused in the cafeteria had left him awestruck.
Turning to question Crescendo, Edric realized the boy was already having a conversation with an unfamiliar woman. Edric caught nothing but the end of the conversation, when the woman introduced herself as the town's gym leader. Surprise, again, struck Edric squat in the face. He slowly walked over to the others, his eyes on the woman at all times, as if he thought some sort of sudden movement might scare her off.
"Hey guys," he started, almost in a whisper. "Thats, thats the gym leader?" He paused to give her and her pokemon a good look, and he couldn't help but admire the two gorgeous looking flying types behind her. "Think she might know something about the breeding center?"

"The only way to find out is to ask." Jack shrugged. She stepped forward to do so when her shyness swamped her. Then she stopped. Casting a glance at Cescendo she found that he was still in shock so she turned to Edric. "I vote you ask. Go ahead"

"Ngh-! Wh-What!" Edric could barely stammer out a response to Jack. "I don't remember this being a democracy! Your the confident one! You go ask!"
His pleas seemed to do nothing to change the girls mind, and Crescendo seemed to be down for the count as well. Edric took a nervous gulp, not liking where this situation was headed. He shook his head again, determined to win against his more confident companion.
"Kangas~" Meema, who had been observing the damage to the cafeteria behind Edric, gave the man a slight nudge forward, clearly agreeing with Jack. "Traitor," mumbled Edric, giving the large pokemon his bag, where a sleeping Shroom lay snoring softly. Starting to nervously stalk off, Edric gasped in surprise when his scarf was yanked back, causing him to cough and sputter for a moment. Meema had quickly pulled him back so she could pat down his hair and fix his shirt, growling in content when she was pleased he was presentable.
"Are you serious?" Edric hurried away towards the counter fixing his hair back to the way he liked it, cautiously approaching Wendy.
"Um," he started off. "Pardon me, did you happen to tell my friend over there you were the gym leader?"

me the confident one? ha! Not with people. Jack snorted at the thought and gave Edric a cheeky shooing motion to go ahead. She grinned and Meema started to tidy him up.
Just then she felt Crimson give a hard tug on her hand that made her fall on her rump. Crimson set to work fixing her hair. "Zan za Goose." No way I'm letting her trainer look better then mine.
Jack sighed,"How about doing something useful and put it in a braid."

Crescendo broke out of his stupor and watched as Wendy turned to face Edric with a confident spark in her eyes.
"Yep. I this town's Gym Leader alright, and I specialize in the best type. Flyin pokemon are the best there is. After all, who doesn't like the feeling of being free as you soar over the clouds on a majestic flyin pokemon?" She said, resting her back against the counter and crossing her arms while her Honchkrow and Pidgeot flanked her on either side. With a slightly nervous gulp, Crescendo came forward and bobbed his head at the woman.
"Well, my name is Crescendo, and I am pleased to make your acquaintance, Miss Wendy." He said, using the manners his father instilled in him as a child. Wendy laughed at the boy and shook her head.
"Don't be so formal. Just call me Wendy. So, ya lookin to challenge me?" She asked him. Crescendo nodded his head and tried not to fidget.
"I am. I don't know about my friends though. They need something from you, but not a battle." He said, looking at his friends expectantly.

"What he's trying to say is that we are breeders and we were wondering if you knew to location of the breeding center we need to go to to take our test." Jack translated from her seat on the floor. She pulled Crimson away from her hair and placed him on her lap.
"Zangoose!" I'm no done yet! Jack ignored him as she went through her bag in search of a comb so she could attempt to tame her Pokemon's fur.
"Hold still you." She started to comb out his fur as Scarlet laughed. "You hush up you're next."Scarlet gulped. Jack grinned and kept on eye on the gym leader as she waited for an answer.

Edric opened his mouth to address Wendy as Crescendo finished, but clamped it shut when Jack beat him to the chase.
"Ok, if your so comfortable with talking why did I have to be the one to go Say something first?"
Turning back to the gym leader, Edric continued Jack's thought. "It's lovely to meet you Wendy. And your Honchkrow and Pidgeot. Um, my name is Edric." He paused and glanced to both Crescendo and Jack, trying to recall if he was forgetting anything.
"Yeah. Jack and I need to find the breeder's center and we were wondering if you could help us, and Crescendo with his gym battle."

Wendy nodded and pat her Pidgeot, who opened her wings and flew past the group, leaving the center. With a smile, Wendy made her way to the three and watched the door.
"I need to get the scroll first so I can read you the riddle. I really should start carrying that thing around with me." She explained, mumbling the last part. Crescendo chuckled at the gym leader as he walked past her to talk to Nurse joy, handing her his pokemon for a checkup.
"That is perfectly alright. We are in no rush, are we Jack?" He asked her, flashing a charming smile her way.

"No not really. Our Pokemon and Cress need a rest anyway." Jack grinned playfully as Crescendo. She placed all her Pokemon on the counter in front of Nurse Joy for a check up. "We'll just follow you around, if you don't mind, until you get the scroll."
Once Crimson was out of sight Jack ran a hand through her hair. "What the heck did Crimson do to my hair?" She cried as she discovered knot after knot in her hair. After a few minutes of struggling to undo what her Zangoose had done she glared at Crescendo. "Well don't just stand there, help me out."
