Crescendo stifled a chuckle as he strode over to Jack, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Then hold still please. I will do my best, tell me if it hurts." He told her in a soothing voice. Wendy watched with an amused expression as Crescendo gently ran his hands through Jack's hair to untangle the knots her Zangoose had made. His brows furrowed as he found himself struggling with some of the tangles, pulling out one hair at a time to unravel them.
"Perhaps you should keep uh, Crimson was it? In his pokeball unless you need him." He said to her, trying to distract himself from how soft her hair felt to him once he finished untangling it. He brushed his fingers down her hair to make sure she had no more before stepping back, wrapping himself in his light blue cloak and nodding to her respectfully.
"There you are." He said while Wendy watched with an amused look in her eyes. The door to the pokemon center opened as her Pidgeot returned, handing her trainer a scroll from her beak. Still grinning, Wendy took the scroll from Pidgeot and waggled her brows at the group.
"Ah, young love. Now then, you ready for your riddle breeders?" She asked, undoing the seal.

"Wow you're much gentler than my brothers!" Jack praised. "Though you do take longer."
Jack rolled her eyes at the young love comment Wendy made not very impressed. Any boyfriend she got would have to prove himself to ALL of her brothers. She wouldn't wish that on her worst enemy much less Crescendo who she considered a friend.
Edric she would like to see try and beat the tests her brothers had been planning since she hit puberty but since he wasn't a potential love interest there was no way she'd see that. Though he had become more tolerable as time had passed so no not even on him did she wish those test upon.
Speaking of tests Wendy's Pokemon returned with the scroll. "Yes I'm ready."

Edric watched his younger companions, entertained. The two were cute in a comical way, and Wendy's added comment making the situation only more light hearted.
Yet something about the innocence and easiness of the scene also triggered a dark gnawing in the pit of Edric's stomach, a feeling he tried to suppress quickly. This was the second time in one day that memories of his own childhood had surfaced and he was starting to get a little sick of it. He had traveled all the way to Varaia to get away from Sinnoh, and make something of himself. He didn't need these constant reminders of what he had and hadn't had being constantly thrown back into his face.
"...ready for your riddle..."
Edric snapped back into the real world, realizing he was wearing his old scowl. Frowning a bit more, he tried to focus on Wendy had just said. There was something about a scroll... Oh yeah! The scroll. The piece of parchment was now in Wendy's possession and she had just addressed Jack and himself.
Follwing the younger breeder's example, Edric nodded. "Yeah me too."

Wendy chuckled and opened the scroll, clearing her throat for silence.
"Alrighty then, here you are.
There is a place not far from here It's not difficult to find. Keep to Gustella's lefthand ear And seek it with sound mind.
Your guide is known for being angry And marked with a big red bow. You`ll find it's not quite that scary Which is strange for a big Fearow." She said, closing the scroll as she finished. Crescendo tilted his head and looked at his friends, blinking.
"I wonder what it means." He said, trying to figure it out.

Edric listened to Wendy's almost sing-song voice, his eyes fluttering to a close as he attempted to commit the riddle to memory. The words fluttered about his head a random fashion, no one line making any sort of real sense to him. His eyebrows furrowed in frustration.
"So, we've got to stick to the edge of town I presume?" The man began to think aloud. "And we're.... looking for a pokemon? A Fearow with a bow?"
The last part seemed to obvious in Edric's opinion. He had a anxious feeling he had misunderstood the poem's second verse. He huffed, his glasses sliding up his face as he grabbed the bridge of his nose in concentration.

"The left ear? we go to the left of here? What kind of direction is that using East or West would be better. Left is a different direction to each person." Jack frowned slightly angered by big towner's direction. East and west were much more reliable directions. "And what's scary about a Fearow?"
"And close can mean so many different things. A few feet a mile, what's the comparison?" Jack shook her head, "Well this is going to take awhile. What about you Cres? what are you going to do? this isn't your hassle."
