"Walking, walking! Left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot!" Gear sang happily as he and Kain walked along Route 802. They'd lost track of Twila at some point while they were still in Gustella, but eventually they'd had to keep moving so that they could make it to Torrentia soon. "I can't wait to get there! I wanna go swimming!" Gear said cheerfully as they walked.

Kain wasn't exactly feeling the mood. For two things that he noticed, one was that the Gym leader wasn't around to test his skills. The other thing that bothered him was that, even with 5 Pokemon, none were exactly what he would call, "efficiently trained". Honestly, they all had some psych problem and with that, they all had very... quirky natures, putting the pressure on Kain. Kain though, was not ready to give up. With some debatin in mind, he eventually caught up with Gear and grabbed his shoulder, smiling a bit. "Hey... Lets have a trainer battle!"

"Okay!" Gear said cheerfully, reaching for his Pokeballs and releasing all of his Pokemon. "Alright guys! Get ready to fight with Kain's Pokemon, okay?" he said as they all let out an excited call, except for Sala who just shyly called and tried to hide herself.

Kain brought out his team, but before he could do much, Leev immediately leapt into him and crawled inside his coat, shivering and looking worried the whole time. Kain sighed for a second and explained that they were gonna have a battle really quick. Flare seemed the most excited over it, finally able to prove herself in combat! Kain chuckled and looked back at Gear, shouting to him over on the other side, "Alright, ready!" Blitz was his first choice and he skittered on the field, giving out a mighty "Sprrrrrrackalakablitz!"

"Okay! Your turn Cammie!" Gear said cheerfully as he pointed to the Numel, who was lazily chewing on a bit of grass she'd found. As she was pushed forward by Terry, she sighed and faced off against Blitz.

Kain grimaced slightly. "This sure as hell aint gonna be good..." He mumbled under his breath, eventually should out, "Blitz! Use Spider's Web!" With any luck, it would hit and cause some Paralysis on the Numel...

Blitz wasn't sure if it was a miss or the paralysis taking affect, but immediately launched upon the Camel Pokemon, biting into him with a feirce Leech Life attack!

Geez... That was a decent hit! Kain bit his lip a bit but shouted out to Blitz again. "Blitz! Leech Life again!" With another chomp, Blitz dug his teeth into the Numel, trying to gain some HP from it.

Cammie let loose with another Flame Burst as Blitz used Leech Life, getting annoyed at the bug's constant attacks as the paralysis wore off.

Thrown back a bit, Blitz landed on his back, eventually flopping himself back over, chattering a bit at the Numel. Honestly, he didn't think that the Paralysis was goin to work again, but he might as well would give it a shot... Another gooey web from his Spider's Web launched forth, smothering the Numel.

Cammie tried to shake off the spider web angrily, irritated that she'd been caught up in it again. As she shook, her hump began to glow with a red light before firing off with a Lava Plume.

Blitz was only hanging on by a thread now, alarming Kain somewhat, and knew he wasn't going to be able to hold onto another attack. Kain then shouted over to his Joltik. "Blitz! Return!" Although very weak, Blitz still was resilient to move, but he grumbled and left, coming back towards Kain, who immediately applied one of his Potions while Scraggle took his place, shufflin over with his hands in his pocket, muttering a bit to himself as if he just woke up from a nap. Nobody seemed to notice the stark white Eevee just waltz in behind Kain, observing the fight... She seemed rather confused and somewhat spacey as she looked around casually.
