Kain, obviously distraught once again, returned his Joltik and brought out Shroud, who silently floated into the stage. Noticing that Snippy was a male however made her skin crawl and she started to pace, er, float side to side, a bit scared to go against him. However, she eventually overcame it and spread out her hands, unleashing a Night Shade at the Trapinch.

As the Ghost Pokemon came out, Snippy readied himself to attack and leaped at her, biting down when he was close enough.

Shroud flinched considerably when the Trapinch closed its maw on the Duskull, which only made Kain grown. How many times must he deal with all these inconveniences? It was starting to really tick him off, and he really need to observe this new Pokemon further! However, after giving the little eevee a cookie, she seemed quite content with just staying with Kain, watching the battle unfold and occasionally pip in a random comment here and there.

Seeing the success of the first attack, Snippy took another chance and bit at Shroud again.

Shroud, now freaking out at the double experience of the male Pokemon, unleashed a Faint Attack on her opponent, hoping to end this fight now.

"Alright! Return Snippy!" Gear said, returning his Trapinch. "Alright, your turn Terry!" Gear instructed as the Poochyena strutted out confidentially towards Shroud, getting as close as possible to the Ghost Pokemon. Taking in a breath, she jumped at the Pokemon with an Astonish, making a face she hoped would frighten her.

Kain was relieved that this was Gear's last Pokemon, besides Sala, and casually returned poor Shroud. The battle was too drawn out and both him and Gear were nicely matched. Deciding to see if it would work out for him, he sent out Scraggle... who didnt respond at first, lazing away on the sidelines. After a good shove from Blitz and Kain, the Pokemon was finally able to get off his lazy feet and begin the brawling by starting off with a nice Low Kick.

Being flipped into the air, Terry tried to right herself and leaped closer to Scraggle, giving off another Astonish attack.

Scraggle, blinking if anything, did nothing as the Astonish attack came at him, but the damage still registered in his body. He rubbed his chin, a sour mood prevailing him, noticing that he might lose this one. The Eevee next to Kain waved around a little Scraggie flag, rooting for Scraggle. "Yay Scraggle! Woo-hoo!" Then all you could hear was the sound of a pencil, furiously scratching away. Scraggle chuckled for a second and sent out another Low Kick attack at the dog-pokemon.

Realizing that her Astonish wasn't working as well as she'd hoped, Terry decided it was best to resort to more crude methods. In this case, that meant ramming herself into Scraggle with a Tackle attack.

Before Scraggle started to fall and Kain had returned the Pokemon, Blitz in his overeagerness had already launched out, nearly knocking the Eevee's Joltik flag as he passed by. With a little chittering sound, he flew up into the air and landed on the Poochyena, loving his fur and itching every bit of it. With a smile though, he clamped his teeth down and started to use Leech Life on Terry.

Terry was starting to get excited. This was her first fight in a while and she couldn't wait to keep it going against her new opponent. Readying herself, she let loose with another Astonish.

The Joltik had his eyes away from the Poochyena at the time, so the hit didn't register in the slightest bit. With another forceful chomp, Blitz laid another Leech Life on the Poochyena.

Flinging Blitz off of her before he could bite again, Terry tried to make up for her last failed Astonish attack and let loose again.

Blitz was slightly surprised at the Astonish and fell backwards, but quickly redeemed himself, getting up and trying to bit into Terry once again, still lovin her fur.
