Many years ago, a strange man made a proposition to a little company known as Nintendo to bring to life an idea that would place incredible power in the hands of children in Japan. Though they refused to accept it at first, this strange man got his even stranger friend to convince Nintendo to at least fund them while they worked on this project. Reluctantly, the company agreed. Over the course of development, the project nearly drove Nintendo and a group who would later become Game Freak into bankruptcy. Finally, after much programming, several hours of overtime *most of which went unpaid* and many workers quitting, Nintendo and Game Freak had done it. They had created an entire world filled with hopes, dreams, and power. They had created something that would bring the world together and create an unbreakable bond among it's fanbase even today.
15 years ago today, Pokemon was born. Nintendo did not have high hopes for this at all, as sales of the game were minimal. But, thanks to the people who are ironically shunned today among the fanbase, sales skyrocketed and Red and Green flew off the Japanese game Shelves almost faster than they could be produced. Yes, once Hackers discovered Mew, everyone wanted one of these games in the hopes of tackling the challenge of obtaining Mew. Thanks to them, Nintendo brought Pokemon to the rest of the world two years later in Red and Blue, and from then on, the world was changed. Standing alongside its brothers Mario and Legend of Zelda, Pokemon has grown to be a global sensation enjoyed by all, veterans and newbies alike.
In celebration of today, VictorySeekers is honoring Pokemon with a special event! After all, we wouldn't exist if it weren't for those magical creatures. I have a little quiz for you to take, and all you need to do is answer these questions and you`ll get a prize! What is the prize? Like Abyss I`d tell you XD You`ll just have to find out after you are done. You have until midnight VT to answer the following questions, good luck! Send all answers to me in a PM.
