"Luca, stop that please..." Sawyer muttered, rubbing her temples. As soon as they'd stepped onto Route 801, the Axew began chiming and cooing this rather melodious tune, acting as the little group's boombox of sorts. Or rather... their little game device, since a boombox would probably scare off other Pokemon. Axew's routine instead seemed to make the bushes rustle, and she swore she heard some unknown chittering nearby.
"A-A-A, A, A, A-A-A, A, A~ A-A-A Axew, Axew~" he continued, running in small little circles around his trainer's ankles before putting a paw on one. He apparently hadn't heard the girl's request and continued his antics, bobbing his head and wiggling his tail with the beat. He was more than delighted to have been chosen by Sawyer and taken along, and he wanted to show his excitement! He did pause, though, and sniff the grass before them. Huh. He didn't recall being here before... taking a step back, he hid behind Sawyer's leg, looking back to Celeste and the others as soon as he did.
Pokedex in hand for when and if they encountered a wild Pokemon - but ffff, of course they would see at least one, why was she giving it such a low percentage of happening? -, Sawyer turned to look at the little group. "Should we just barrel on through or what? I'm ready to leap right into the action" she said to the coordinator, a broad smile accompanying her words. "I do know that I want to train Luca a bit and maybe catch him a friend for this upcoming battle in Gustella. So rustling around in the grass might be a good idea."

Yellow ears twitched and light snoring could be heard. The cat-like pokemon did not seem to be paying much attention to what was going on, and slept away. "Bra. A. Bra." It snored. Celeste's eyes widened as she pulled out her pokedex to scan it. "Abra, the Psi pokemon. It usually sleeps 18 hours a day due to the strain of it's uncontrolled psychic abilities." The pokedex said. Celeste tilted her head as Vulpina and Pendra geared themselves to fight, only to be held back by their trainer. "I`m a coordinator. I need beauty, not power. You want it Sawyer?" She asked, looking at her friend. Pokemon Encountered: Gender: male Level: 4 Moves: Teleport, Psywave.

Sawyer aimed her Pokedex at the Abra along with Celeste, staring hard at the pokemon when she was questioned. Well, they were certainly handy with their Teleport move. And their special attack was nearly through the roof, even at early levels. Not the best defense though, and even though she knew she'd be primarily training for offense, her team would need at least decent defense right off to have some sort of protection. Its type was flawed only by Dark and... oh Arceus, this was too much thought for one pokemon!
She turned to Celeste and shook her head, Luca doing the same. "No, I think I'll pass. Wonder if it's worth it to try and battle... even though it's sleeping." Smiling a little, she nudged Luca along, who sniffed harmlessly at the sleeping Abra.
"Luca, use Scratch!" she whispered, the Axew rushing forward, paw outstretched towards the psi pokemon. Abra's ear twitched, and before it could wink into nothingness, the move hit and sent the pokemon flying backwards. "Axew!" Luca cried, pulling his palm back as he looked at the fainted Abra. That.. that didn't look very nice. Sawyer beamed and picked him up, twirling around.
"That was great! Let's move on, Celeste. There's more pokemon to find and battle!"

Celeste beamed at Sawyer and nodded, leading the way as they continued to trek through Route 801. Vulpina and Pendra ran in circles around her feet and chased after Luca, having a blast. Celeste smiled as she walked next to Sawyer, confident her new pokemon would not get into any trouble. Suddenly, Pendra's antennae picked up and she started to creel, drawing the attention of Vulpina. The small fox ran to Pendra's side and bristled her fur. Celeste ran over with Sawyer and saw not one, but two pokemon confronting Vulpina and Pendra. "Oh wow! There are two of them! let's see who they are!" She said, pulling out her pokedex. "Mareep, the Wool Pokemon. Mareep stores electricity in its fur that doubles in volume when it holds too much. Ralts, the Feeling Pokemon. It uses the horn on its head to feel the emotions of everything around it and will flee if it detects any negative emotions." It reported. Celestes eyes widened as she stared at the two pokemon, looking to Sawyer. "Let's team up! Come on, we can take'em! Vulpina! You first!" She said as Vulpina took her stance. Sawyer too had been watching the pokemon play, and overall was simply trundling about and taking in the scenery. Nice little town, nice little forest... everything was nice here, so far. Not amazing, but not bad. Just nice. And that was perfectly fine with her. When she heard Vulpina growl, she tilted her head and faced the ruckus, what happened next sort of a blur of motion.
Celeste was calling out some things and the Zorua took her stand against the not one, but two wild pokemon, both of them focusing on their new opponent and not each other. Sawyer fumbled with her Pokedex and nudged Luca gently forward as she registered their information, an excited expression finally floating up once she had a moment to assess the situation. Ralts had good... what, Special Attack? But that Mareep really caught her eye.
"Alright little buddy, get up there with Vulpina and start out with a Leer on those pokemon!" she encouraged, happy to see that the Axew had no problem with glaring right at the opponents and doing a scary jig.
[RESULT: 8]
Mareep and Ralts cried, both of them shaking their heads and backing up a little. Sawyer was quick to grab a purple pokeball from her bag, nod towards Celeste, and toss it at the electric sheep, breath baited as she watched the sphere wiggle and struggle with the pokemon. Four... three... two.... click! Utterly shocked, Sawyer did her best to avoid the Ralts as she went and picked up the ball, her smile more than enormous when she returned to Luca. "Luck must be on our side today!"
Gender: Female Level: 3 Personality: Eager, Reckless, Brave Ability: Static Moves: Tackle Hit Points: 23
As soon as those words were spoken, the pokeball wiggled and Mareep was suddenly out of her new home, shaking her fur and snorting wildly at the Ralts. "What the...?" Sawyer mumbled, the pokemon moving to the side when she tried to recall her. "I guess this new gal wants to battle, do you mind moving aside Luca--MAREEP, WAIT!" Before the trainer had even instructed the pokemon, Mareep was dashing towards Ralts, crying out challengingly. She wanted to fight! Her tackle was strong, but her aim was somewhat off...

As Mareep charged Celeste smirked, turning to her Zorua.
"Get the Ralts before Mareep does Vulpina! Use Scratch!" She commanded. Vulpina growled as she charged towards the Ralts, crying her name.
"Raaaaaaa!" She cried jumping up.
[RESULT: 4]
The Ralts looked up in alarm as the attacks of Mareep and Vulpina collided with him, knocking him backwards. He looked pitifully at them and began to cry loudly with an Echoed Voice attack.

Sawyer was relieved to see that not only had Vulpina charged forward to aid them with a Scratch, but Mareep hit her target as well, a feat she didn't think they'd achieve. Poor Ralts was flung backwards and began crying as soon as he got up, however, when she braced herself for the attack, none of the surrounding pokemon were affected. Huh. Rough day for him...
"Paisley!" She called, surprised at how fast the nickname came to her, "Use tackle one more time, and try to aim a little better! Watching where you're going helps a lot!" Axew, who was with Pendra and cheering for the others, suddenly broke out into laughter when Sawyer announced Mareep's nickname. Paisley nodded and pawed at the ground below, charging at Ralts once more.
[RESULT: 0]
Unfortunately, Paisley was too eager to run and didn't take her trainer's warning, completely running past the pokemon and ramming into a tree. Ouch... Sawyer facepalmed and shook her head, the Mareep crying out in embarrassment. Health:Vulpina: 22/22 Luca: 21/21 Mareep: 23/23 Ralts: 14/20

(CATCHING) Ralts was prepared this time, and dived out of the way as Paisley collided with the tree behind him. Vulpina came from the side and raised her paw, ready to charge at him with another scratch attack. "Get him Vulpina! Go!" Celeste commanded. [RESULT: 3] The attack hit its mark, and sent poor Ralts flying once more. Poor guy, but it did the trick! It weakened him just enough, and Celeste pulled out a purple ball. "Pokeball go!" She cried as she threw it at him. The capsule pulled the small creature inside and fell to the ground, shaking once, twice, three times before stopping. Celeste's eyes widened along with the grin on her face and she jumped up and cheered, Vulpina and Pendra joining her. "I caught a Ralts!" "Zo-zorua!" "Veni!" They cried. Vulpina trotted over to the pokeball and picked it up in her mouth, dutifully carrying it back to her trainer who took it with a smile. "Come out my new friend!" She said, throwing the ball high. A light burst forth from the pokeball, and a tired-yet-healthy Ralts stood uneasily. Celeste kneeled down by him and put a hand on his head, smiling. "I think I`ll call you Reso. Do you like that?" She asked. The ralts gave a weak smile and leaned into Celeste's arm, yawning. "Ralts..." He said happily, dozing off in her arms. Paisley made a quiet 'maaaaaaah' sound as she flopped backwards on her wooly rear, sparks tingling up her tail as she rubbed her head with a paw. Ow ow ow... she sniffled and soon stood up after a brief recovery, chest puffed out and ready to roll - only to see that the Ralts was now beside her trainer's friend, and everyone was cheering. She was upset, but there was no reason to be a Granbull about it. "Meeeeeeeeeeep!" she shouted, skipping over to the group to acknowledge the other pokemon's capture.
"Great job Celeste! We're doing pretty good already, huh?" She bent down to scratch both of her pokemon, urging the group further down the path. They couldn't stop there, there were even more battles to be had! She was nearly leaping down the road, Paisley challenging her to a race at one point while Luca hung back, the Mareep suddenly jumping out and stopping the girl from going any farther. Right over the hill in front of them a Poochyena and Sentret were fighting over an oran berry, their attention switching to the trainers. Even more infuriated to see people on their path, both of them turned, huffing at the small band.
"Ooh, more pokemon. Let's see..." whipping out her Pokedex, Sawyer stilled herself and listened. "Sentret - the scout pokemon. It stands on its tail so it can see a long way. If it spots an enemy, it cries loudly to warn its kind. Poochyena - the bite pokemon. It chases its prey until the victim becomes exhausted. However, it turns tail if the prey strikes back." The girl tilted her head and cleared her throat when Paisley stepped forward, holding her back.
"You can battle, but we'd better be careful."

Celeste clutched Reso tightly as the two pokemon appeared, and he was in no shape to keep battling. Pendra growled and nudged at her ankle, and Celeste's face brightened.
"Of course! Bug Types are strong against dark types! Let's go Pendra!" She said. The Venipede charged out in front of her trainer and glared at the opponents, ready to battle.
"Rollout!" She commanded. Pendra curled into a ball as tightly as it could and began rolling towards Poochyena.

Poochyena snarled at the Venipede, its bushy tail flaring and flicking into the air. When the pokemon barreled towards it, he simply jumped over her and turned back around, leaping towards her after a moment's thought. "Poochyena!" He aimed at the reddish bug and pointed his nose into the air, accidentally stepping on the berry as he let loose a Howl. "POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCHYENA!"
[RESULT: 1]
Meanwhile, the Sentret just so happened to see that slip up and was enraged at the blue juice that stained the dirt. Puffing up, it nearly charged towards the group, but a loud yell distracted it just in time. "Paisley, use Tackle! Go!" Mareep bleated and charged, making sure to keep her eyes open until impact.

Poochyena was hit rather hard that time, unable to flee from his opponent in time. As he wobbled and struggled to stand upright again, he found that he was facing Pendra's back, and with red and yellow eyes wide in assumed victory, the bite pokemon scrambled forward, aiming right for the Venipede's hind end with his head held low in Tackle stance.
[RESULT: 0]
Paisley cried out in frustration as she was hit, not taking being struck well at all. "Meep, Mareep-maaaaaaah!" she sassed, angrily talking back to the Sentret once she regained her form, the normal type paying her no attention. He nearly launched another attack, but Sawyer commanded her to Tackle just before the other pokemon could bounce off of his tail, anger surging through the wooly creature's veins.

Pendra sensed the oncoming attack behind her with her tail antennae and quickly dodged to the left, the Tackle just flying past her. As Poochyena recovered from it's crash, Celeste clenched her hand.
"Rollout one more time! Before it gets up!" She called. Pendra curled up again and sped around the field, turning and aiming right for Poochyena.
[RESULT: Miss]
The Sentret cried out as Paisley's attack connected, all of the rage surging from the sheep into Sentret. Sentret tried so hard to get up, but the strain was too much and it passed out. Paisley had won!

Luca and Sawyer cried out at the same time, cheering for Paisley and fistpumping the air as she stood tall over her victory. "Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Her bleat was loud and actually distracted the Poochyena just in time for him to attempt to get away from Pendra's attack - but the bug rolled right past. Huh. Well, too bad, he guessed! Huffing, he growled at the Mareep and Venipede both, not liking how things were turning out. Two against one.. that wasn't fair! He didn't so much as bark in frustration before fleeing into the tall grass and leaving the group behind.
The Wild Poochyena was able to flee thanks to its ability Run Away!
Luca approached Pendra and tilted his head, pattiing her back. She did a good job, even though she wasn't able to finish. Battling wasn't easy! Sawyer walked up to Celeste too, offering a smile. "That was a tough one. Our pokemon look a little worn, though... should we make camp soon?"
