So it appears I was wrong, Meowth has NOT been fired from Team Rocket! I have read the short summary of Episode 47, and have learned it was a long-standing ploy to get at the gang's pokemon!
For those who predicted this outcome, good for you! I should've known the animators wouldn't stray from their normal formula XD
For those of you who, like me, thought Meowth had a true change of heart. Well, it was a nice thought right? Did kinda make us feel awkward though XD
So, any thoughts on the matter? Preferably none that mock me for my silly determination that Meowth WAS going good? XD

Damn it Meowth! I trusted you to do good and you go right back to Team Rocket!
Now that I got that out of the way, I am actually really impressed about how they went about this. They didn't just have an episode where he pretends to join them and he's gone by the end. He's with them for 4 episodes where you actually start to believe that's he's gonna do right. Then they spring this on you. That's good storytelling right there.

...I wanna know what made Team Rocket so smart all of a sudden. Maybe all the previous seasons were really long ploys to Ash and the gang to try and get them to believe they're somewhat of a non-serious threat and more of an annoyance, and then have finally decided to step it up and show their potential? OR MAYBE IT TOOK HOWEVER MANY SEASONS FOR JESSIE AND JAMES TO GET SOME SENSE KNOCKED INTO THEIR HEADS. Here's one for ya, how many times does Team Rocket have to blast off before they start honestly acting like honest bad guys?
Gotta say though, I think I prefer Meowth 'bad' rather than 'good'. After this long, nothing else fits him. X3 And for the first time in a long time, I'm proud of your skills, Team Rocket! |

After all that discussion we had I really wouldn't have minded Meowth being a part of the "twerps" now, I think. But kudos to the writers for stringing that along for a decent amount of episodes! It was quite a refreshing change for Team Rocket's hijinks. I like bad baddies, so if there are more interesting plot points like this with the revamped Team Rocket, I'll be impressed!

But seriously? I liked the goofy Team Rocket. Shun me all you want, but I like my Team Rocket stupid. xP
