Rune quietly breathed in the fresh air of Dust town, sighing softly and pushing his silver hair back. He needed to find the lab. It’d be a fairly easy task, since the town was so small, and Rune let his eyes wander to a building that seemed a bit bigger than all the others. Rune let his feet lead the rest of him as he made his way over to it, cracking the door open and stepping inside.

“Hello?” He called coolly, his tone never once betraying him, it wouldn’t tell anyone he was nervous, and he waited patiently for the professor, the new breeder thinking about his choices.

Professor Conifer walked out to see a very stern looking man before her. She blinked a few times before smiling softly. "Ahh. The new breeder, right? I know what you're here for then."

She set down 9 pokeballs, opening 6 of them. The occupants of the pokeballs stared eagerly at the man, hoping that one of them would be picked. The 3 remaining balls remained as silent as ever. "You are to choose two Pokemon this year. You may choose any Pokemon here or a Mystery Ball. You may only choose one Mystery ball, and you cannot unpick a Mystery Pokemon."

Rune glanced at the professor before looking down at the Pokemon at his feet. All of them seemed like good choices, but the Zorua stuck out to him. He carefully picked it up and observed it before turning to the professor.

“I’d like this Zorua please…” he looked at the mystery balls, and then the professor again. As his second choice, he took one and tossed it, waiting to see what would come out

The Zorua glanced happily up at his trainer, his little tail wagging for all it was worth. "Zorua Zo!" Glad to meet you! He licked the breeder's cheek, sealing the deal.

Rune closed his eyes as the Emolga landed on him, chirping what seemed to be a greeting. He gave a sigh and took her off his head, opening his eyes again to examine her. “Akita and Colette.” He said simply, stating their new names. Colette squeaked happily in his arms while Akita stepped over to his side, sitting down and looking up at him.

Rune then turned back to the professor, waiting to see if she had anything else she needed to say to him before he left.

The Professor had almost forgotten! Ah yes, he needed gear. She departed for a few moment, returning with a bunch of stuff. She arranged it neatly in front of him, smiling. "YOu need to take a Pokedex, a bag, and a box of items. You aren't allowed Pokeballs, however."

Rune only momentarily glanced at the professor before hurriedly picking out a bag and a Pokedex, the traditional backpack and the red Pokedex being his choices. He stowed the Pokedex in his bag and picked up Akita, lowly thanking the professor before stepping out of the lab. Well, that was troublesome.
