Sitting in the plush interior of his family's stretch limo, Alexander Rahl stretched, hearing several joints pop loudly. He sighed, wondering if this travel was actually a good idea. "I'm almost 40...What am I doing going on a journey..." He thought this to himself, and sighed. He was headed to Dust Town's Pokemon Laboratory, to speak with the Professor there. Alexander had met with several pokemon Professors in the past, but had never met this one, as it was his first time in this area of the world. Alex steeled himself, as the car slowed to a halt. Apparently they had arrived. Alexander's door was opened by the family man-servant, Sebastian. Richard smiled, and thanked Sebastian as he left the car. He wouldn't be seeing the Servant again, so he gave him a hug, before quickly walking up the path to the Lab's door. He smiled as he walked, he was curious as to what the Professor would say about a nearly-40 year old man coming in to get a pokemon.

A limo? A... man-servant? Well, this was awkward. Professor Conifer didn't really expect any sort of fancy visitors, but the way the older man entered the room and looked at her expectantly... was he really here to acquire a starter? Blinking in surprise, she released six of the nine balls she had sitting on the old faithful podium, clearing her throat and offering the stranger a smile.
"Welcome! Here to get your starter?" she asked, not really waiting for an answer before replying. "Trainers are allowed to take one pokemon, and breeders and coordinators are allowed two. However, everyone is limited to only one mystery ball." Then the woman backed off, waiting to see what the man would choose.

Alexander studied the pokeballs carefully. He really wanted a pokemon...but he felt that he was in such an adventurous mood, that he would just give luck a chance, and take the Mystery ball. He smiled at the professor, and introduced himself as he held out his hand "Hello, I'm Alexander Rahl. I was hoping that I could get a mystery ball, Professor" Alexander figured that he was here to start his adventure, what better way than to have luck give him a pokemon..Besides, Alex whole-heartedly believed that he was a lucky person, and thus far in life, hadn't had much bad luck. He hoped that he would get a very regal pokemon, or something powerful. He wasnt that picky, it was just an appearance thing. If he was to meet someone in his family, and had a weak pokemon, then he would be ostracized. But he was determined the love whatever pokemon he was given. He opened the ball, in an anxious suspense.

"No worries. Now, let's see what you got!" As usual, the professor patiently waited to see what popped out from the beam of light, an enthused expression claiming her facial features when the sturdy-looking pokemon approached his new trainer.
"Mawile." He tugged his trainer's pants leg and huffed, tapping his foot impatiently.
"Seems like he wants to go, hm? Now, just pick you things and you can be on your way."

Alexander sighed in relief, he had gotten an adorable mawile, and although it seemed to be slightly impatient, he would teach it to be calm, and steady. Like it's trainer. He clicked the ball open, and returned the mawile, while naming it. He had decided instantaneously to name his mawile, Argentum. He grabbed the briefcase shaped pack, and loaded the items into it, that he had been given HE smiled, and picked out the black pokedex. He thought it would be functional with all of his suits. He walked over to the Professor, and thanked them, before walking out the door. On to his new adventure, with his new friend.
