New Friends Come and Go, but One Shall Stay Today

[Virgil]

Virgil grinned as he brushed his hair back.

"Yeah. But I wasn't worried in the least" he said confidently, knowing full well that he had been worried. He had considered switching out but his gut told him that his good luck would return and return it did at the last chance. "Hoppip wasn't going to be taken down that easily."

He knelt down so that he could reach his Hoppip quicker. He took out a paralyze heal and also a berry. He first used the paralyze heal on his Hoppip then carefully fed it a berry to restore some of its health. "Hop!" the hoppip cried out. Virgil smiled. He wouldn't use Hoppip again so he would have to rely on a different Pokemon entirely.

"But yeah, you took down that Slowpoke no sweat, I guess the Wooper was just a lot sturdier then I thought it would be" he said casually. "Still no sweating on my end."

[Tane Flight]

"Ya, water types are no trouble for Blitz!" Tane said proudly "And once he actually learns an electric move, then no water type will stand a chance!" Tane obviously wasn't thinking again. Full of pride and such, Tane just went on rambling on how awesome his Pokemon were.

Tane pet the Dratini that had become a living scarf. He was curious about the Pokemon's abilities. He would have to test this Pokemon in the next battle that he and Virgil get in. When ever that would be.

[Virgil]

Virgil grinned at what Tane said. Tane was definitely sure about his own Pokemon being great. Of course, Virgil had that feeling as well but he didn't really act that much on it.

"Just hope your luck doesn't run out" Virgil replied casually.

Virgil, after saying that, looked down at his Hoppip. He picked it up and looked towards the sky. He was glad to be out here but now his mind was on thinking about what other Pokemon needed to be trained so that they could become stronger. He had to do that. All Pokemon were supposed to be cared for after all. Training was a part of what it meant to be a breeder.

[Tane Flight]

Tane laughed. "Psh, ain't luck, my Pokemon are just plain awesome." Blitz woke up and gave out a loud screech, almost as if showing off what Tane said, before going back to his nap. " I can prove my Pokemon in nearly any kind of battle, be it racing or battling." Tane said, his voice not as loud.

"Even when a Pokemon faints, or struggles. I know my Pokemon are the best. Their power doesn't always come from speed or strength. HA! Even I know that." He said, smirking.

[Virgil]

Virgil rolled his eyes, metaphorically of course, while he looked at Tane. He believed that luck had something to do with it. Of course, he wouldn’t run Tane’s mood. He finished tending to Hoppip by feeding another berry to it and then patted it on the head.

“There, you’re almost as good as new” he said sweetly to his Pokemon. “No more battles for you straight away but ya did good. You’re going to be pretty good when I get ya trained enough.”

The breeder looked up at the skies for a moment, he couldn’t see any indication that it would rain, and well that was good. He didn’t have anything to even protect himself from the rain if it did start to rain. He liked the dry weather better than the soggy, wet weather that usually came from elsewhere.

[Tane Flight]

Two Pokemon looked from the near by area. One who had just come out of his whole, the other out of the stream near by. Both Pokemon seemed interested in the things going on. How curious it is, seeing these two people, and how curious their urge to battle had become. The two Pokemon went towards the trainers, ready to see just what their strange urge to fight them was about.

Virgil eyed the two Pokemon there. He wouldn't use Hoppip again. No, this time he would go back and use Rona. Rona hadn't seen battle for a bit so might as well try his luck with her. He didn't know what moves either one of them had. So, he would just go with the Buizel.

"Good luck, Rona" he said as he released her from her ball in a very non-dramatic fashion as he turned to face the Buizel. "Now, intimidate that Buizel. Use leer."

Rona did her best to literally intimidate the other Pokemon to lower its defenses down by leering at it. Virgil watched carefully to only notice a slight reaction from Rona's opponent. It wasn't too effective.

[Tane Flight]

Tane smirked at the Nincada, oh this would be fun. He grabbed his new Dratini and set him on the ground. "Alright, lets see what you can do! Attack that Nincada with a water pulse attack!"

Dratini nodded, rather shakily, afraid that he would mess up and be abandoned again. Despite this fear, he attacked like he was told, shooting a pulse of water at the Nincada with quite a bit of power and knocking the bug over and confused.

Tane laughed at the sight. "Who ever use to own you was dead wrong about you being useless!" He then looked at the Nincada, these Pokemon evolve into some pretty fast Pokemon so...Why not! He pulled out a Pokeball and threw it at the Nincada.

He didn't show it much, if not at all, but for some reason, the Buizel was a little afraid to get close to her. He's dealt with dragon type Pokemon before, they tend to have the upper hand in many situations, he was unsure what to do. Should he get close or try fighting from afar?

Deciding to try to attack up close, he quickly tackled into Rona with his quick attack. Unfortunately, he hesitated and his quick attack did little damage towards his opponent.
