Showdown In The Wind

[Lucas Heart]

The storm had gotten pretty rough through the trip back luckily it wasn't very far. He had chased Ruby around a few times to try and get her pokeball back but she was fast. He was worried that her facinated with the cottonee wouldn't end well since from what he could tell she wasn't very nice. Finally the little boy gave up and just walked.

The wind picked up near the end cutting through lucas's clothes chilling him to the bone. When the came into sight of the center this time he didn't run in excitement he was far to tired. "this nurse is so going to think we are crazy first coming in at the middle of the night and now in the middle of a huge storm." Lucas stated to Spirit as they finished the final stretch to the pokecenter.

[Spirit Hope]

Spirit smirked slightly "...Honestly, I think they've dealt with worst, besides, the rain was rather sudden, how would we have known it was going to rain that day?" She asked shivering a little from the cold breeze going through the storm. Finally Spirit and Lucas made it back into the Pokemon center. The nurse seemed a little surprised to see the two trainers she saw earlier back and soaked from the rain, she quickly called out for some towels to hand over to Spirit and Lucas.

"Oh, my, it seems you two got caught out in that darn storm! It sure came quick." The nurse said, handing over the fresh brought in towels to offer.

"Ya...It was rather sudden...Oh! We also need our Pokemon healed again..." The nurse nodded and called in two tables for Spirit and Lucas' Pokemon. Spirit returned Xylia her Pokeball and handed over two Pokeballs to the nurse. The tables came in and the nurse placed the two Pokeballs in the slots before taking Drinyo from Spirit's arms and placing him on the table as well. Once again, Spirit followed the table to the healing room so Drinyo would not be as startled when he woke up.

[Lucas Heart]

Lucas just shrugged at Spirits comment, as they entered he was surprised to see that the nurse wasn't upset with them or anything. Ruby was still running around with her own pokeball always out of reach of Lucas. "Sorry about her Nurse, she has taken her pokeball and won't give it back but she should let you heal her..." He stated not sure if he was trying to convince her or himself.

Placing his other two pokeballs on the table he waited in the lobby drying off what he could, but his clothes were soaked to the bone. Seems like the two just couldn't get away from this pokecenter but now both of their pokemon where strong and ready to attempt to take on the gym leader.

[Spirit Hope]

Thankfully for the nurse and Lucas, Ruby was willing to corporate with the healing process and after a while of waiting, Spirit and one of the assistants came back with the fully healed Pokemon. Right after leaving the healing room however, Ruby jumped off the table and went back to her mischievous ways.

The assistant handed over the two freshly healed Pokeballs back to Lucas before turning back to the healing room to care for other Pokemon that were behind those closed doors.

"So...Are we ready to fight Wendy?" Spirit asked quietly, she didn't feel like her team was ready, but she knew that they had to face the gym leader sometime.

Lucas watched as Ruby bounded away faster then anyone could imagine, "Is that why you keep the cottonee in the pokeball?" Lucas asked rubbing his head as he attached the two pokeballs to his belt. The little psychic pokemon was a beast but it was such a pain to deal with.

"Yeah, lets go show that woman that we are trainers to be reckoned with, that Abra of yours should do the trick nicely. Plus you have Drinyo he is a tank." Lucas stated giving a thumbs up to Drinyo.

[Spirit Hope]

Before Spirit could say anything, Drinyo shook his head and spoke "Sorry to burst your bubble, however I most likely will not be joining in on this gym battle, if you haven't realized, I am a fighting type. The gym here is flying, not exact ally my specialty in battle."

Spirit sighed. "That's true....I do not think I will use Drinyo for this battle.

" Well, we shall get going and I think you have a Ralts to catch." Drinyo pointed over at Ruby who was running around causing trouble before walking out the door with Spirit following close behind.
