Finally There

[Kerum Kosha]

Kerum had decided against that last pokemon battle and he was regretting it now but o well it happened. Now he stood at the very entrance to the town of Gustella and hopefully here he and Anima could find the first breeder center and become one step closer to getting their license.

"Hey Anima, your glaceon is pretty cool, glad you finally got what you wanted. We are finally here, now we can go find that breeding center and you can challenge the gym leader while we are at it." He knew she wanted to do it so while they were there, they could at least let her try.

"I think we should hit the pokecenter first though." He muttered looking at the still fainted pokemon in his hand.

Anima walked to the entrance of Gustella town after her battle against the ninja trainer, her Pokemon were rather tired from the walk through route 801 where they encountered many battles and met new friends.

"Thanks Kerum, it seems Kari's liking her new form too" Anima looked at Kari who barked excitedly. "And yes, it is time to find the breeding center, though I don't need to challenge the gym, though it might be interesting to try." Anima smiled, she was a breeder, not a trainer, but the idea of trying the gym didn't sound that bad.

"Yes, lets go to the Pokemon center, our Pokemon must be tired." Anima started to walk towards the Pokemon center, where their Pokemon could take a good rest to heal.

Kerum just smiled, looking down at the little seed pokemon in his arms and hugged him gently before following after Anima. He was rather impressed with the girl she could fight just as good as any trainer he had seen. Hopefully she could win against the gym leader it would prove to the world that she isn't just some weak breeder like most viewed those of the twos profession.

"I think you should try against the gym leader, with Kari and Cenric I think you can beat them hands down. Plus I will be right there rooting for you." He stated with a friendly smile. The automatic doors opened and Kerum stepped into the room and approached the counter.

"Excuse me, we would like to rest our pokemon and this little one doesn't have a pokeball, I am a starting breeder so don't have one. If you would be so kind as to help them out that would be wondrous." Kerum stated with a slight bow.

"You think I should?" Anima then looked at her Glaceon and Oshawott. "I honestly don't think they're quite strong enough yet to tell you the truth." And it was true, Anima may have some decently leveled Pokemon, but they weren't that strong yet In fact her strongest Pokemon was only level seven, while gym leader Pokemon were nine and higher. Would her Pokemon be ok at such odds?

Anima joined Kerum by the counter and handed her Pokemon over to the nurse as well. "Just like my friend's Seedot, my Poochyena also doesn't have a Pokeball quite yet. Anima said calmly before looked at continuing her conversation with Kerum.

"I hear the gym leader here's strongest Pokemon she uses in battle is level fourteen, that doubles my Pokemon's level, I don't think that would give me very good odds in my opinion." Anima said slightly worried about her Pokemon.

Kerum walked away from the counter to a vending machine and bought himself a snack laughing as he did so. "You of all people should know that level means nothing. The pokedex stated that the bird was a few levels higher then my Nato's and he won just fine, I know it was wild but levels are not to gauge your pokemon's strength. It is your bond with them and how you use them that matters." Kerum stated biting into a bar of some kind and chewing on it. He knew that it wouldn't take long to get his pokemon back but it was still going to be a wait.

Sitting down he motioned for her to join him. "I think you can win and if you don't then you can at least say you tried. You will never beat a gym leader unless you try." He stated pointing the half remaining bit of bar at her.

Anima followed Kerum to the vending machine where he bought a snack bar and listened to what he had to say. " I know levels mean nothing and your right, its the bond with my Pokemon that matters, but that doesn't stop me from worrying about the battle. I'm a breeder after all...." Anima paused a second before coming to a decision. " Well, I guess worrying won't do me much good, I'm not a Pokemon trainer so it won't be a surprise if this doesn't turn out well, I don't even know if Wendy would want to battle me. However, I guess I should give it a try.


"So, what should we do while we wait for our Pokemon?"

[Kerum Kosha]

Kerum smiled to himself, he had just convinced her to battle which was a good thing. "Glad you decided to go ahead and try." He stated as he finished the remaining bit of his bar in two bites and tossed the wrapper into the trash next to him.

"Hey Anima, we haven't really gotten to know each other yet, why did you become a breeder? Only my oldest sibling was a breeder and that was why I decided to become one, but why did you?" He thought back to how he was going to be the best breeder of his family.

"Hm? Why'd I become a breeder?" Anima asked somewhat surprised about the sudden question, it's a question anyone would ask, but Anima never thought anyone would actually want to ask her. " Well you see, my mother was a Pokemon breeder and I would always help her care for the Pokemon. Working with my mother convinced me that I should try being a breeder as well." Anima said remembering the times she had caring for all the Pokemon.

"It was quite fun raising all those Pokemon. Your brother was a breeder too? How interesting, it seems both of us chose to be breeders cause of a member of our family."

[Kerum Kosha]

"I guess its a weird coincidence." Kerum stated looking up at the ceiling thinking about it. "I grew up with 7 other siblings, and most thought breeding was something for whimps, the ones who could not cut it as trainers." He stated almost zoning out as he remembered their taunting when he stated he wanted to become a breeder. It had hurt at the moment but now he just laughed at them.

"At least you got to spend great time with your mother raising pokemon. I would have loved to have that kind of bond." He stated offhandedly.

[Anima Everhart]

"Seven siblings? Wow, I don't have any siblings. However you don't have to worry about them, they just don't know what its like to be a breeder." Anima said smiling calmly, she didn't have any siblings, but she did have a lot of Pokemon who she considered her family.

" I guess your right about spending time with my mother, however I spent more time with the Pokemon then her. We were always busying tending to the Pokemon, I'd often go out to play with the Pokemon after I finished my Chores and while I did spend some time with her, I was always a little closer to the Pokemon" Anima continued, her eyes were calm and peaceful like a laid-back winter's snowday as she thought about her times with the Pokemon that lived up in the Blizzara Village.

"Still must have been nice." Kerum stated with a smile as the receptionist came to the desk with both of their pokemon.

"We are all finished and they are in fine health now. Hope to see you again and have a great day." She chimed with a smile and walked back to the other side of the room and started working on papers. Kerum got up and stretched walking over to the Seedot standing on the table.

"Hello little one, I am going to call you Sen." He stated patting him on the head. Sen jumped back a bit not out of fear but distrust, but he shrugged, well as best a seed could and approached Kerum letting him pick him up. He smiled and snatched the balls up attaching them to his belt. "Alright guys time to go." He stated gently.

Anima walked over and collected her Pokemon and watched Kerum and his Seedot interact. The Pokemon seemed a little distrustful towards Kerum at first, but shortly after decided let Kerum put him up.

"Hey Kerum, I have an idea. I know our Pokemon just finished healing and all, but why don't have have a Pokemon battle? It would be good practice for both us and our Pokemon. We could use three of our Pokemon and to make it more interesting, lets make it a double battle. What do you say? Wanna battle? Anima said suddenly, the idea sounded nice to her, and she didn't see why Kerum wouldn't want to battle to make his Pokemon a little stronger, after all. They'll be meeting stronger Pokemon in the future, they should make sure their Pokemon are prepared for anything.

A sly smile came over Kerum's face, "That sounds like a good idea, plus we can get a feel for our new pokemon." He stated squeezing his little seedot pokemon gently. It would be good practice, and he knew that they would need to get stronger to survive the world past this town.

"Lets see who is the better trainer between us two breeders." Kerum stated as he headed for the door, stepping out into the sun he enjoyed the warmth on his skin. The wind was slight but nice keeping it from becoming to warm. A clearing stood out on the side of the pokecenter most likely for this very reason. Walking to the far end he tossed out his pokeball with Rainy in it behind his back it exploded in bright light letting her coil in the grass. "Arlight Rainy, Seedot lets do this." He stated letting the seed pokemon hop out of his arms and land next to Rainy.

The two pokemon's eyes briefly met and lightning seemed to go between them. Kerum had a bad feeling that the two were not going to make the best friends but they might surprise not only Kerum but themselves. "Lets see what you choose." Kerum stated with a smile.

Seedot: 23/23 HP

[Anima Everhart]

Anima was glad Kerum liked the idea and watched as he walked outside the center, Anima stopped and sent out a new Pokemon. "Cenric, may our friend use your scarf so that she can gain some Experience?" Anima asked Calmly to her Oshawott who willingly handed over his Growth scarf. "Thank you, Cenric" Anima said before sending the Pokemon back in her Pokeball. Then Continued out the door to find Kerum.

After catching up to Kerum, Anima watched as he sent out his Dratini and his new Seedot. "Interesting choice." Anima said calmly, she knew what she would choose. "Alright, lets give this a shot, Kari and Cenric. Anima said with a smirk.

"Alright Kari use Helping Hand, Cenric use Night Slash on Rainy!" Anima called out to her Pokemon.

[RESULT: 6] +1

Rainy: 15/22 HP
Seedot: 23/23 HP
Kari: 25/25 HP
Cenric: 22/22HP

[Kerum Kosha]

"Going after my strong one I see." Kerum stated with a sly smile. The Night Slash slammed into Rainy sending her a few feet back but he wasn't worried about her she could hang with the worst of them. "Arlight Sen use bullet seed on Cenric."

[RESULT: 5]+1

"Now Rainy get back in there and hit Kari in the face with Dragon Breath your signature move." Kerum roared pointing his figure ahead like he had seen so many trainers do in the heat of battle.

[RESULT: 0]

Kerum watched as the breath missed the target, "Its ok Rainy hang in there."
