Appearance:

The imagery of Crystal seems to hold a strong resemblance for that of a darker nature. You should notice that young, teenage body of rough height and stature, first. She appears much like a bird, standing somewhere just under 6 feet with long, limber twig-like legs and arms, and very much gives the impression of slight malnutrition.

Crystal does stand at no more than 5'10", even on her bests days where the visible attitude of "slouching" is not present, and she weighs just under 125 pounds. Consciously, she is aware of her body, and though she has tried to change this, no amount of eating or of consuming of any nutrition seems to help pull on, or to pull off weight. She skin seems to be dyed white - she has a very soft, very pale complexion that wreaks of one who doesn't frequent in the sun much, if at all. This is somewhat false - even when she's in the sun for prolonged periods, her skin just blisters, but it doesn't darken for her.

Crystal wears always has on a slight loose T-shirt, to which she covers with a large hoodie. Unlike that of a jacket, the hoodie is made of very thin material and only harbors the thought of covering her for looks - pretty much it's function now. Although she started wearing hoodies in a way to alleviate the blistering she experienced out in the sun, she now wears them as part of her "Fashion". In fact, when it is too cold she will slip on another hoodie over the first, and so on, until she is warm again. A bad habit she did as a teen, and she hasn't been able to break sense.

Crystal also covers her legs with tight, dark blue jeans that are either blackish, or almost blackish in appearance. Half the time they have holes in them all over the place, mostly from wear and tear. These are her favorite ones, and you will see her in these most often. The newer pants in her collection will either noticeably lack any of these inherent flaws of rips, or they will have "fresh signs" as to rips that will eventually be there.

She shoes are black sneakers, and that's about all. She doesn't put on make-up, and she doesn't wear earrings, necklaces, rings, watches - or anything else, really.

Her hair falls straight down her back, as naturally straight as hair can get on it's own. There are a few waves here and there, and strands of hair going slightly out of place - something that let's you know it's naturally straight, and not forced to be in a set guideline. It is raven black, or perhaps jet black i appearance. If you ever get to touch it...well, it's very soft, and has a silky, velvety touch to it. Most of which is thanks to her shampoo, though....

Personality:

You could describe Crystal with many words, and then there are still many more that contrast to her character. In short, she is selfish, distrustful, silent, sarcastic, and possibly shy. However, she is also intelligent, honest, and true to her word - the fuses are just faulty still, so most never get to find that out.

She is selfish because she admittedly only thinks about herself. It's not in the typical ways, and in fact if you can truly befriend her then you'll see this flaw completely disappear and she will defend you until her last dying breath. However, she is still selfish - to earn that kind of devotion, she has to see that you could devote yourself as fully to her. She only returns the amount of "selflessness" you show her for her...

As a result, she doesn't like the talk and jabber of others talking about their day or anything that has to do with "them". She doesn't really care about you or what you have to say, she doesn't want to hear any of it. Normal conversations annoy her - however, overly bubbly and cheery conversation with obnoxious laughter seems to drive deep underneath her skin. She will remove herself from the situation on most occasions, however she is prone to attacking or insulting anyone that wants to trail after....

In that note, I'd like to emphasize that she is pretty much a stoic, silent character. She thinks a lot within her mind, she just doesn't say a whole lot. She doesn't like really conversing that much - just say what you have to say and be done with it - everything else is pointless and useless blabber. She is also very sarcastic, and uses a thick, dry sense of humor when she speaks to others. She makes it a point to try and make others feel dumb, or incompetent whenever they annoy or anger her, or generally she isn't getting along with them.

History:

If you would ever care to understand the character, you would know that she comes from a very unstable past. You probably wouldn't care though....after all, who could care for an individual that goes out of her way to be unliked by the crowd?

Crystal grew up in a home with a mother and a father, but no siblings. They did instill the idea of "family" and "unity" before she left, but that was surrounded in the unstable, and very corrupt way that they lived. The female was never unfaithful in the household, and she never spoke back. She was also very obedient, doing whatever was requested of her. Crystal didn't like the morals, and she didn't like the practice.

No matter what her mother did, no matter how hard she could try, the father was of a different color. Nightly, he would come in and he would beat upon her mother. Often, he would use her and the girl (Crystal) for his bidding and for all of his needs. Whenever they didn't oblige, the violence only got worse.

She was trapped at the beginning, forced to live with her father. Children were already going off, and they were already collecting all of their Pokemon for their journeys as soon as they were 10. She even had put in a request with Professor Oak when she was 10 - she was going to get Charmander, and she was going to move away from her wretched life of misery. Her father put his foot down.

She was old enough for the journey, it seemed....not old enough to make her own calls. Her father, too enraged by the idea, handicapped one of her legs in his usual beating, and called the Professor back himself to inform him that his daughter would not be obtaining a Pokemon. It didn't seem to bother the Professor.

She actually stayed with her father all the way to her adulthood. The only Pokemon she knew of were of Eevee - her mother was enthusiastic about them, and her father began breeding them to try and earn money on the side. The sells didn't go well, but they still tried to make it work. Otherwise, she probably wouldn't have even been into Pokemon. She'd be like most people - disliking the creatures around her, just trying to live her life.

But the Eevee cheered her up. They encouraged her, and one Umbreon used to draw out words in sand to communicate with her - they talked of her father, and of their life at that house. The Umbreon was pretty much indifferent, but it did speak of ways that her father could, or eventually would, die. It held a wondrous amount of ideas...

Now, he didn't die, and she doesn't keep in contact so she doesn't know what happens. So, the plots were just that - a way to pass the time. Eventually she aged into a very fair young lady, and even at the age of 18 she still had to run away. That's how she made it away from Pulsia Village, and that's why she's beginning her journey. Her actual goal is to meet all the Pokemon, but she secretly could care less about the humans and their GYMs.
