The sun had risen high and Spirit and Lucas were back at route 801 to continue preparing for their soon to be encounter with the Gustella town's gym leader, this time however, the team was looking for more then just some wild Pokemon to fight with, they were hoping to also look for trainers, since it was daytime, they were far more likely to find some more people on the road.

Lucas yawned as he walked down the path his bag back on his back and the pokeballs stored within. The night on a couch was nothing to him, there were some perks to be young and spry. "hope we find some fun people today." He stated with a bit of his normal hyperness but still groggy. Today he was going to test out his new Ralts and tear up some people.

Fun people? Trainers? Well, if that's what they wanted...
Perhaps they weren't Lucas and Spirit's versions of fun, but the trainers who suddenly appeared on the path before them were definitely energetic and prepared for battle.
"Like, ohmigoshnoway! Look Lily!" said a girl in pigtails, blinking dramatically as she pulled her pom-poms up to her face in shock. The girl to her right, a blonde, gasped and squealed with her friend before the two skipped and hopped closer to Lucas and Spirit, their eyes large and sparkly when they finally stopped to greet themselves.
"Ohey! So... my friend Trish and I, like, wanted to know if you two would battle with us!" the blonde spoke, giggling and bouncing back and forth between her feet, the other girl hanging onto Lily's shoulder, also giggling. Before the two trainers could answer, they both released a pokemon, swooning over their partners while they waited for confirmation.
"Well?! We totally don't have all day!"

Spirit was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of two preppy cheerleader girls, oh how does she deal with this?! Before Spirit even think, two Pokemon appeared out of the two girl's Pokeballs. One was a Bonsly and the other was a Meowth, both Pokemon would be easy for Drinyo to fight as he had attacks that were strong against both.
" O-ok, I don't mind battling." Spirit said, putting down Drinyo who looked rather ready for battle. "If you are ok with it, I would like to battle you, Trish."
As spirit said those words the battle began. Spirit took the first move. "Drinyo, use low kick!" Spirit called out to her Pokemon, who charged forward to deliver the first kick.
[RESULT: 1] +1 =2 (Oh no! please not this again?!)
It was a light-hit, however being strong against the cat like Pokemon, it did more damage than it would of originally.

Lucas almost jumped out of fright when the two girls with balls of tassel jumped out from nowhere and made high pitched noises. Covering his ears he closed one eye as if that would help dull the pain in his head and it didn't. Seeing Drinyo taking on the meowth that meant he was to take on the other girl and her Bonsly. "Alright Thunder lets do this." Lucas stated as he threw down his pokeball.
"Mareep." He stated not looking as if the rock pokemon would be a threat to him. Yes he was a electric pokemon but he cared not. "Alright Iron Tail." Lucas stated jabbing his finger towards the little Rocky.
[RESULT: 1] +1 (yep this again)
The hit landed and send the little rock sliding slighty, they would need to pick up the pace if they were going to win this battle.

"Onoyoudidn't" Screamed the cheerleader as the low kick landed on her precious meowth. "meowth lets lower its attack use Growl." The cat opened its mouth meowing really loudly adding a few extra notes after just for good measure.
[RESULT: Miss]
It seemed as if the meowth was facing the wrong way so the sound didn't even effect the little pokemon.

The Meowth seemed to have miss aimed his growl attack, a good sign for both Spirit and Drinyo for this battle. "Ok, Drinyo, Use another Low-kick attack" Spirit called out to her Pokemon as he kicked at the Meowth again.
[RESULT: 4] +1 = 5
This attack did much better than Drinyo's first hit, managing to push back the feline a little from the attack.

"Omg, your Pokemon is like, no match for my precious Bonsly." The cheerleader exclaimed happily as she saw her Pokemon endure the steel attack fairly well as if it was close to nothing. "Alright now, Rocky. Use your Low kick attack!~"
[RESULT: 3]
The small tree Pokemon ran forth and delivered a kick to thunder, while it may not have been the strongest hit possible, the attack was still good enough to show.

The kick made contact and send the sheep backwards and it slipped trying to keep its balance and fell on its side quickly regaining its feet.
"Its fine Thunder, you are just going easy on the poor little thing." He stated knowing how his sheep thought. With a raise of its head it agreed. "Lets do another iron tail, like our last battle." He stated remembering the hit he delivered when he left the pokeball against the ralts.
[RESULT: 6]+1
The attack hit and it did significantly more damage then last time. "See Thunder, that is how you show them who is boss." Lucas yelled in happiness.

The Brunette Trish screeched as she saw her poor little paws be kicked hard this time. As the cat slowly regained its feet she yelled support, "Beatthatmeanpokemonup." It was almost to fast to understand, but it charged forward using a Bite attack.
[RESULT: 8]-2
Paw's teeth sunk deep into Drinyo's skin causing a large amount of damage. "YYYYAAAYYY" Screamed Trish. Then she realized that she had made a huge mistake. "Darnit I forgot that Scraggy was a dark type." She pouted stomping her foot.

Paws bit Drinyo hard and if he was any other Pokemon he may have been in a lot of pain.Thankfully though, Scraggy were really resistant against dark type attacks. Drinyo didn't like the hit though, resistant or not it still did a lot of damage.
Drinyo's fist began engulfing in flames and attacked, not even bit hearing to wait for Spirit's command.
[RESULT: 4]
Drinyo punched the Meowth hard, bits if the fiery sparks caught some of the Meowth's fur it didn't do much thankfully as the soaks were too weak to actually burn the Cat.

"Ohmygosh!" Lily screamed as she saw her precious Pokemon get hit badly by the steel move. "Rocky, show them your flail attack!
[RESULT: 4]
The bonsly attAcked decently, doing decent damage to Thunder. "Yay! You show them!"

Lucas saw the bite, it looked painful and he didn't know either what the cheerleader didn't know. "O so that was very inneffective, but it looked like it hurt so much." Lucas stated before snapping back to his battle. "Really, a flail. Thunder whop him again with Iron Tail." Lucas shouted.
The sheep was just getting back in balance when it hoped into the air doing a front flip the tail glowing as it came down on Rocky's head.
[RESULT: 0]+1
The rock pokemon blocked it with his hands but it only hurt him due to its steel nature. "Its ok, we didn't want a easy fight did we." Lucas stated to his Mareep.

The meowth rolled around a bit to put out the fire meowing insistently at Scraggy. "Hit that pokemon with a scratch." Trish stated a very upset look on her face. Paws lifted its paw and clashes came out as he bounded forward aiming for Drinyo.
[RESULT: Miss]
Its bound was a bit off as it missed claws sinking deeply into the ground next to Drinyo a very upset "meow" escaping its mouth.

Drinyo was able to get out of the way of Paw's claws leaving the cat to sink his claws INto the ground next to him, the Meowth's meowed, upset at his miss. Ok Drinyo, use low kick how! Spirit called out to her Pokemon.
[RESULT: 8] + 1 = 5
Drinyo turned towards the Meowth's next to him and delivered a good kick to the cat. Paws fell from the low kick and fainted from the attack.

Trish smiled and pointed at Lucas. "Like, its a good think your not wanting an easy fight cause me and Rocky are totally not going down without a fight." she said proudly. "Go Rocky! Use another Flail attack!" The Bonsly nodded and used the commanded attack.
[RESULT: 8]
The Bonsly's attack hit very well, dealing some good damage to Thunder. Trish lifted her Pom-poms and shook them proudly. "Woo! Go Rocky! Yay!"

The flail landed a direction hit sending the electric sheep through the sky hitting the ground with a puff of dust. As it stood up several marks and bruises littered its body.
Lucas's eyes were slits at this point, not to mention Thunder, his very fur seemed to be lighting up with electricity. It was ironic though since it didn't have a single electric move but alas it was still electric type. "Thunder, finish them off." Lucas stated as Thunder charged forward tail glowing again, hoping to finish them off.
[RESULT: 7]+1
The attack landed straight in the little Rock pokemon's chest Thunder could feel the rock crack every so slightly under the hit sending him flying through the air and into a nearby tree. "Mar-EEP." He bawed out head held high in victory.
"That is how you do it Thunder." Lucas stated smugly as he ran over and gave his sheep a huge hug.

"Like, omigosh! My cute little Rocky!" Lily said, still sounding just as perky as she did before, giggling as she returned her Bonsly to his Pokeball. "Ok! Silky, totally avenge Rocky!" she called, tossing out her second Pokeball and releasing a Wurmple who glared fiercely at Drinyo. "Bucky! Get out there!" "Seems they both have two Pokemon..." Drinyo sighed, here he thought they were done with these preppy girls. Suddenly Drinyo got the feeling something was watching, glaring at him even. Drinyo turned his head and his eyes met the Wurmple who was fiercely glaring at him.
"Eh...Glad I don't have to battle you." Drinyo said, rather happy that Spirit chose to fight Trish instead of lily, he doubt he would do very well against the Wurmple, one poison sting could easily take him out of battle and in serious danger.Trying to ignore Silky's Death glare, Drinyo faced his opponent, preparing for Spirit to give out her command. though it should be obvious what she should call.
"Drinyo, use Low kick." Spirit called, starting the first move.
[RESULT: 8] + 1 = Drinyo charged forward and kicked at Bucky powerfully. The attack, being very effective was able to send the Bidoof backwards some.

Lucas watched as the wurmple appeared friercely glaring at anything it could see. It was a mean little bug and Lucas didn't want any part of that. "Come on Thunder return." He stated calling back his sheep and tossing out Bolt's ball at the same time.
The little gear pokemon burst out in a flash of light twirling around singing some kind of random tune. "Alright Bolt lets get in there and use Vice Grip."
Bolt spun forward and attempted to smash the little wurm between its gears.
[RESULT: Miss]
For some reason the gears aim was off and missed by a small margin. "Its ok we still got this."

Bucky was sent flying, the kick had hurt a lot, it stood back up falling back down once as it did so. Eyes staring all innocently at Drinyo it charged in for a tackle. "You can do it Bucky." The cheerleader cheered.
[RESULT: 2]
The bodies made contact but Bucky had very little momentum and so didn't do much damage.

Drinyo held strong from Bucky's hit, the attack did not have very high momentum making the hit very light in power."Good job Drinyo, now, use enough low kick, please." Spirit called out, Drinyo nodded and aimed for his next attack.
[RESULT: Miss]
Disappointingly, Bucky was able to get out of the way this time, causing Drinyo to miss the attack.

Silky was able to dodge Bolt's attack easily for such a small bug. "Good job, Silky! Now like, use Tackle!" Lily called out, pointing at Bolt with her Pom-poms.
[RESULT: 2] -1 = 1
it wasn't a very strong hit, and the fact that Bolt was a steel type made the hit even less effective. Silky gave off a bug-like hiss as if it would make the pink Caterpillar look more fierce.
