History: Aldo was born in Viridian City to a pair of Team Rocket members. As he grew up, his parents were rarely together with him at the same time. More usual was that one of them would be on a mission while the other would stay at home with him. Whenever they were around, they spent most of the time with him talking about their own missions with Team Rocket and their hopes that their son would join as well. For his part, Aldo had very little interest in doing anything that his parents tried to force him into.
When he turned 15, it was decided that Aldo was old enough to take care of himself while his parents were gone and he was left alone much more often. Well, almost alone. Wherever he went, he was followed around by a Ratatta he'd found in the nearby forest. Despite his frequent efforts to get rid of the pokemon, he finally just gave in when he realized that it wasn't planning on leaving him alone anytime soon. A few years later, Aldo found a news article that described the arrest of several Team Rocket operatives, including his parents. Deciding to take the moment to leave, he chose a region to head to at random, finally deciding on the Varaia Region. Finally convincing Ratatta, now a Raticate, to stay at the forest instead of following him everywhere, Aldo left to start a new life in a new region.
