Personality: Bice has a motherly personality, tending to baby her Pokemon and anybody younger than her that she travels with. She is almost inhumanly patient, rarely getting angry at anybody for any reason, and even when she does, she tends to under react to it more than anything. She doesn't like people treating her any differently from others because of her leg and will go to great lengths to show it doesn't restrict her.

History: Bice was born into the famous Joy family of nurses in Quakita City. From a young age, she watched her mother and sister work to help heal the injured Pokemon that trainers brought into the Pokemon Center everyday. As she grew up, she began to take a more active role in the procedures, helping them in any small way she could. One day, a message came to the center about a cave in at the mines and asking for help in evacuating any miners and their Pokemon still inside. Wanting to do anything she could to help her family, Bice begged and begged until she was finally allowed to come with them to help.
While in the mines, Bice and her family made progress in rescuing many of the miners and were getting prepared to end the day as the last of them made it out. Before they could get out, the mines suffered another cave-in, separating Bice from her family and leaving her unable to move about as her right leg was caught in the collapse. It took another day before they could get her out of their, though it felt like much longer to her, and by the time she got out, her leg became almost useless for walking, forcing her to use a walking stick everywhere she went. Despite her accident, Bice still tried to remain optimistic and continue on with her studies to become a doctor like her family. She recently decided to become a Pokemon Breeder so that she can better understand Pokemon and how to take care of them.
