Appearance: Andrew stands at an average height, 5'9". He weighs in at about 140 lbs. He has black hair and green eyes. He is a very thin guy, and appears weaker than he actually is. His skin is a pale white from having spent most of his time indoors studying. On his face, he wears a pair of wire-rim glasses.
Personality: Andrew is a shy guy who, up until now has preferred the company of a good book to that of other people. Recent events, however, have forced him to come out of his shell and become more social. This has made him somewhat nervous as of late, since he dislikes being forced out of his comfort zone. He has been adapting slowly, like he always has, but has been dealing with the situation in the best way he knows how: by tapping into his vast stores of knowledge his mother all but beat into his head.

History: Andrew was born to Carley and Daniel Langley of Cerulean City in the Kanto region. His father died at a young age during his job as a construction worker when a metal beam broke off from the crane that was lifting it. Since then, Andrew had wanted to fulfill his father's wishes of becoming a trainer. His mother, however, had different plans for him. Ignoring his wishes to become a trainer, she kept him at home for schooling, leaving Andrew to watch as all of his friends began leaving home to become trainers.
Despite this, though, Andrew poured himself into his studies in order to cope with the disappointment of not being allowed to train pokemon. Though it was not what he wanted to do, he did come to enjoy it some, eventually. Pokemon training was always in the back of his mind, though, and eventually....he decided to do something about it.
He ran away from home at the age of 17. He didn't figure out where he wanted to go until he saw a poster in Vermillion City for the Varaia Region's pokemon league, trying to draw more pokemon trainers there. Using whatever money he had left to his name, he bought a ticket to bring him to the regoin and, much much later, on his 18th birthday, he arrived in Dust Town to meet Professor Conifer for his first ever pokemon.....
