The Clear Sky and the Open Land

[Tane Flight]

Tane walked throughout route 802 proudly, his friend, Virgil had passed and now that the test was over the two could continue. Thankfully, while Virgil was at the breeding Center, Tane was able to get his leg healed up and was no longer crippled so he was free to walk again.

The sky above was clear and bright with a fair gust of wind blowing through the route, the grass bellow danced and waved it’s healthy green color from the breeze that the wind was delivering. The day seemed perfect for going out and traveling and if it was good for People to go out in, the wild Pokemon would surely be out and about on the nice day!

As good as the day was and as high spirited as he was, Tane was slightly disappointed that his Cottonee had ran off. He had no clue what happened to the Pokemon, but he guessed it didn’t really matter in the end. He remembered seeing the Pokemon talking to another Trainer who also seemed to have a talker, his best bet was that his Cottonee desided to tag along with that other trainer, but no matter, there are other Pokemon in the sea and the air and even the land that he can get instead.

[Virgil]

Virgil looked towards the clear skies, just feeling relieved that the first of the breeding center tests was done. He could go back to being the lucky person that he was. And he had met back up with Tane so that they could continue onwards. He still held the egg case in his arms as he wasn’t going to go put in his bag or anything like that. It was better to keep it close by to him as possible. He looked around as he walked alongside Tane.

“Glad to see that you leg has healed up, Tane” Virgil replied cheerfully as he tried to strike up a conversation. He did this as he waited to see if any wild Pokemon showed up or possibly something else. There’s nothing better than talking to pass the time away. That's what Virgil thought at least.

Of course, he was still was on the lookout for anything of interest. This route was different from the first one. Von was walking along side him, just looking at Tane for a moment, and then looked elsewhere. This was dreadfully boring to him. That Tailow was just weird. It had eventually settled down after pecking consistently at his trainer's forehead. What was up with that bird?

[Tane Flight]

Tane smirked "Ya, I was sick of not being able to move, its good to be able to move around on my own again.Thanks again for the help by the way." He stated happily, marching a little with pride. There really wasn't much to do in the watery plains, the area was nice, however the Pokemon seemed to be out of sight at the moment.

"So, how did that test go? Anything interesting that's worth mentioning?" Tane asked, however he then noticed the green Tailow as she flew up to Virgil's head and pecked it causing Tane to laugh it the sight, it was rather funny to him.

[Virgil]

Virgil smiled as Tane asked that question. There was plenty interesting there to do. He had heard Tane laugh but he didn’t mind all that much. The shiny Tailow’s actions were causing that.

“I passed it rather well and it wasn’t all that difficult as there were two other breeders there. All three of us figured it out the test together and came together on the solution. There were two legendaries there, two eggs that had legendaries inside of them or at least I thought so, and then well one of the eggs was a fake. It was rather mind boggling the actual problem until I heard the other two give what they thought on what the eggs were. At least, they identified two eggs each, about four in total and so all I had to guess on were two eggs. And well, I relied on lady luck to get me through that. And so, I received this egg, I believe it holds a Pidgey inside of it. All in all, everything went well” Virgil answered gleefully. “The other two breeders weren’t all that interesting. You’re welcome, Tane. Glad to be of assistance during your injury.”

Virgil laughed after that and just thought about things for a bit. There were plenty of things to work on. The next test could be like that or it could be something else. He just had to hope on luck that it was something that he could figure out on his own.

“Blockhead” Von replied cheerfully. He turned to look at Tane as he kept up his pace to match them. “The two other breeders were a woman named Anima and a man named Kerum. This guy didn’t even think about the girl. Or that’s what he wants you to thi--”

“Hey!” Virgil interrupted quite loudly. “None of that. I mean that I haven’t really found who I want to be with yet, no need to go blurting out what I thought about other people now. “Got that?”

Von shrugged it off and became silent again, though there was a smirk on his face as if he got a kick out of that, and continued on his merry way along his master’s side.

"Hoooooooop~pip," a wild Hoppip said cheerfully as she flew through the air, the wind blowing her along on her journey along the route. She'd managed to find a travel mate somewhere along the way, but the Cottonee she was with didn't seem to be enjoying the ride as much as she was, desperately trying to escape the wind current so he could get back to his herd. Looking down and seeing the trainers below, Cottonee began wildly trying to break free to try and get their attention, managing to knock into Hoppip and bringing them both crashing to the ground in front of the trainers, Hoppip cheerfully bouncing once she hit the ground.

[Tane Flight]

Tane watched as two Pokemon crashed landed in front of him and Virgil, bringing the two's conversation to an end. It seemed the two crash-landers were a happy-go-lucky Hoppip and a Cottonee.

"Oh look Chance! There's some wild Pokemon, lets get some training done." Tane called out excitedly and looked at the Cottonee. "So this must of been where that first Cottonee came from, wonder where she went. No matter I guess. Come on out, Zea!"

Tane summoned his Torchic whom didn't seemed to be too pleased about being called out however the small bird immediately held her head up high in pride as she soon saw why Tane had sent her out. Its only natural she, his strongest Pokemon, would battle first. "Alright, Zea. Use Flame Burst!"

[RESULT: 2] +1 =3

Zea attacked the Cotton plant as commanded, the attack wasn't the strongest however, thankfully being super effective, the attack managed to do a little more damage than it would normally.

[Virgil]

“Yah” Virgil replied gleefully as he saw the two wild Pokemon there.

He looked at the Hoppip and knew that he wanted to befriend that one. This one could prove useful for one of the tests. Or perhaps not. He already had a grass type. Virgil looked towards Von for a moment. Von looked up at him with his curious eyes. He seemed to realize what he was thinking. “Oh no. You go train one of those weaker Pokemon on your team. I merely wish to be a spectator!” He cried out as he ran behind him.

Virgil looked up towards the bird that had settled down on his head. The Taillow fluffed its feathers out and then Virgil tapped the bird on the head before pointing towards the Hoppip and then snapped his fingers. The shiny bird Pokemon got the signal and flew off from his perch on Virgil’s head and headed straight for the Hoppip. “Peck it, Taillow!” he commanded nicely.

The Taillow swooped in on the Hoppip with his beak pointed straight at it.

[RESULT: 2] + 1 (type advantage)

The Cottonee got jostled by the flame attack. He didn't like being hit by the flames and it almost charred him. He glared at the offender before it shot several small seeds towards the fire type.

[RESULT: 0]

The seeds hit the fire type but bounced off, not latching on, and then they opened up revealing the tiny vines that would have spread out if those seeds had latched on. The Cottonee's glare increased as he cried out in frustration towards the Torchic.

Zea returned the Cottonee’s increased glare as he screeched out a pitiful cried of frustration. Desiding she was too good to listen for Tane’s next command, Zea attacked on her own using her claws to crush the Cottonee.

[RESULT: 7]

The attack hit very powerfully, even managing to lower the Cottonee's Defence in the process of the attack!

The Hoppip was surprised when she was suddenly attacked by the strangely coloured Tailow, did she do something wrong? Or maybe this is some kind of game! Excited about the thought of a game the wild Hoppip attacked happily back at the Tailow using a Tackle attack

[RESULT: 1]

She wasn't really aiming for power but more play in the since as she playfully tackled the bird, even giving a light hug in the process in the tackle. "Hop Pip Hop Hoppip~" (friends friends ride with me~) The Hoppip sang in her Pokemon language.

OOC: I know that. Was going to change it before you posted....

Virgil watched the Hoppip then looked towards the Taillow. His Taillow was waiting for him to give some sort of order. He didn't really know what else to call next. There was just something that he had to do but what. Maybe it was best for this Taillow to attack on its own.

"Oh just do what you want" Virgil replied happily.

The shiny Taillow responded to what the Hoppip did with another fierce peck attack.

He jabbed his beak into the soft skin of the Hoppip as hard as he could. This bird was focused on the battle

The Cottonee didn't like being struck like that and the Torchic's trainer seemed to care little about the battle. He was gonig to show that Torchic a thing or two. He spun around, sending out little yellow spores everywhere, and only hoped to hit.


[RESULT: 7]

The spores landed on the Torchic, making it harder to move as the Torchic breathed some of the spores in. The Cottonee laughed at this. Something had finally worked and it was something to shut that ignorant bird up.

[Tane Flight]

Zea shook from the paralyzing spores that she had breathed in. The Cottonee laughed at her, this was rather irritating to the Torchic, however the paralysis wouldn't stop her in the slightest, she attacked again using a crush claw, hoping that the paralysis did not stop her from the victory she was nearing.

[RESULT: 1](?) +2 =3

The paralysis didn't stop her at all thankfully, however it did prevent her from making the final hit, leaving the Cottonee just barley awake from the attack.

The Hoppip cried out from the sharp pain of the Tailow's sharp beak, but it was hard to tell if it was a cry of happiness or unhappiness. Did the Hoppip still think this was a game? Well technically it is a game... Laughing happily some more, the Hoppip jumped and tackled the Tailow again playfully.

[RESULT: 3]

Being a playful Pokemon and a playful tackle, it was still not meant to be a strong hit, however it did do more damage then the first tackle the Hoppip gave.

[Virgil]

Virgil wanted this Pokemon on his team at least for qualities that might be useful on a test. Or other things. It might not be his battler but he wanted at least to have a wide variety of Pokemon. On top of having a number of each egg group.

"Weaken it, some more. Don't overdo it. Use Peck, once more!"

The Taillow let out a shrill cry as if he wanted to do something else. This Hoppip did not get the picture and why did he have to listen to some breeder. He would do what he wanted to do.

[RESULT: 1] + 1

The bird jabbed as hard as it could again, trying to peak through the Pokemon entirely, and he didn't want to give up on that. Unfortunately, he had angled the attack wrong and did less damage than he wanted.

The Cottonee wanted to get going but these humans didn't seem to understand. He wanted to get back to his herd, not be stuck battling. It unleashed a bunch of green energy like orbs out of its body which it then shot towards the fire type. This was the only move that it could do that would deal damage. That claw attack didn't sit well with it. This Torchic was far too proud for his liking.

[RESULT: 4] - 1

The green orbs hit the fire chick, taking energy away from the Pokemon, and then came back towards the Cottonee. He laughed as he got some health back. He knew that it wouldn't be effective against fire types though.

(I AM using Flame burst on this, just in case it says Crush claw for some reason again.)

Zea was growing frustrated with The Cottonee's attacks, she attacked again with a Flame burst, hoping this last hit could finish the job

[RESULT: miss]

However right before she could reach the Cottonee, he turned and made a run for it. Zea would of chased him down, but that's when her Paralysis decided to take a stand.

For some reason, that last peck did not suit well for the small Hoppip, suddenly enraged from the attack. Hoppip attacked fiercely with a hidden psychic power known as confusion.

[RESULT: 7]

The attack did much damage to the Tailow as the attack hit, it was so strong that it had effected Tailow much more than just damage, Tailow had gotten Confused from the attack!

[Virgil]

Virgil eyes the Hoppip, thinking about whether it was a good idea to even have this Pokemon, and well he decided that he wanted it and so he would have to go through with this. Different Pokemon though.

“Come on back, Taillow” he replied sternly. He turned to look at Rona who seemed more than willing to have a go. She was easily excitable. It was decided that she would be his next Pokemon. “Do your best, Rona.”

The shiny bird came back rather clumsily but he caught him in his arms. He would have to deal with this bird for now.

“Ax Axew!” Rona replied as she nodded her head. She looked at the Hoppip. “Ax!” Virgil didn’t know what she had said but from the tone, it appeared that she wasn’t very pleased with this Hoppip doing that to one of the traveling companions that she was with.

[Tane Flight]

Hoppip wagged her tail excitedly at the new Pokemon. ‘Oh joy, oh joy another friend~’ The grass type Pokemon thought excitedly. Hoppip! Hop Hoppip~ (Hi! Let’s play~) The Hoppip sang happily to the Axew as she continued to whip her tail back in forth and jumping around.

[RESULT: 9]


Its uncertain wether the Hoppip was aware that wagging her tail was a move known as tailwhip or not, but the tail whip was very effective against Rona as it sevearly lowed the Dragon's defenses.

[Virgil]

Virgil was about to have Rona do something when Von decided to have his say in the matter.

"Hey Leafy! Yah, you. If you want friends so much then come with us. We'll be your friends" Von said happily.

Virgil looked towards Von for a moment before he turned towards Rona. She definitely was still active despite being whipped in the face by a tail. She was still pretty excited by facing off against this Pokemon. Just finding something new, only the will of her trainer held her back from trying to run up and hug that grass Pokemon.

She decided to take matters into her own hands since Virgil seemed to be at a loss of words. She ran forward as dark energy covered her right claws. Once, she got close enough she slashed at the Hoppip.

[RESULT: 3]

Rona's attack tore into the Hoppip though her strength wasn't that great. She just seemed to be happy that she was able to hold back from hurting the grass Pokemon too badly.

"So, Leafy. That's you, Hoppip. Want to come with us? There will be more friends if you do" Von replied quickly before Virgil could say anything.

"Ax!" Rona said excitedly, nodding her head.

Virgil looked at the Hoppip. Von had taken the words right out of his mouth, that cheeky bugger.
