The Top 4 is now the Top 3

Basile has left VS, Forever. This isn't a Hiatus, it's not a joke. It's the real thing. She's put her heart and soul into this place, and VS hasn't given anything back to her. She builds the site from the ground up, twice, and there is no fanfare. She creates our most important feature, the feature that VS would be nothing without, and there's nothing to be said. She codes our skin and our system diligently from sun up to sun down, and she gets complaints instead. She tries to shy from that and focus on playing instead, but no one wants to play with her. Sure, some of you have volunteered to RP with her, but when she comes back the next day, it's "Oh, I found someone better. Sorry Basile ^^;".

We've pushed and pushed, and we pushed too hard. Basile worked her fingers to the bone and got no appreciation outside of me, Dragon and Bay. Heck, Dragon had to FORCE YOU to say "Thanks for working so hard on the revamp Basile!" and now it's gotten to be too much.

There are only so many times you can kick a houndour down before it stays down guys, and on VS, she's staying down. She can't be apart of a site that really doesn't want anything to do with her, and face it, you guys don't want her. You liked her coding, but you're afraid of her. You like reading her posts, but you're afraid of her characters.

And now it is down to Me, Bay and Dragon. When I made VS, I told Basile that if she ever left, I`d close VS down too, but she's told me not to. After all that has happened she wants me to keep going with VS. I know what you're thinking, it's because she worked hard on it. Well let me tell you something. If Basile was THAT self-centered, she WOULD have asked me to take down VS, or done it herself since she can get onto my admin account. You wanna know how I know that? Two Words: Lyer Weyr. When They kicked her out and told her she wasn't good for anything other than hatching eggs, you know what she did? She took down EVERYTHING she ever contributed to the site. Dragons, whers, pets. That alone threw the entire site into a tizzy that was ultimately it's downfall.

But she's not doing that to us. Yes, she hasn't been treated well by everyone here, but she cares enough about me and about you guys that she will let us go on without her, because she feels we already have.

So I`ll keep going. We may not have Basile, but Dragon has her fangs and Bay has her coding knowledge. Between the three of us, Basile thinks we can keep going, and I think so too.

Basile's account and characters will remain intact for as long as VS lives. I have a small sliver of hope that one day, she will return to VS, but until then, we`ll keep her account and characters so that she can pick up where she left off. She's still my best friend, so we're still gonna play together. The revamp site has the same coding as VS, so we'll just continue where we left off there.

Before I close this out, am I disappointed in you guys? Yes. I am. Between the whining, complaining, and flat-out neglect, I can't say I blame Basile for wanting to leave. HOWEVER, I don't want to hear you guys tell me "Oh gosh, I didn't know. WE WANT BASILE BACK" because I know that you know I`m hurt by this. I don't want to hear you guys lament for her out loud. If you are REALLY sorry about this, if you REALLY care about her, then you know what to do to show it. And no, I`m not gonna help you on this one. You`ll have to figure it out yourselves.

In the meantime, I`m going to get some sleep, and then I`m going to work on my characters. We lost an admin, but we haven't lost VS. Dragon, Bay and I will do our best you guys.

Okay so... where to start? First of, I suppose I should say that Kitty is absolutely right. That wasn't a joke. I had every intention of leaving. I deleted my bookmark and everything, and if you saw my browser, you'd realize that's some serious stuff if I delete a bookmark. I'm like... OCD about those things. Anyway. The point is, yes, I was really hurt. To the point where I absolutely didn't want anything to do with Victory Seekers anymore. It wasn't just about the Revamp, there have been a lot of little things, but that was the straw that broke the camel's back, as they say.

Anyway... throughout the day I've heard from several of you. I do have to thank those of you who messaged me for not saying 'please come back', because that, well... It wouldn't have helped. But for the we'll miss yous and apologies I got (From some people who didn't even need to apologize, also. You know who you are), as well as the role play offers, tha meant a lot to me and DID help.

I also saw how much it was hurting Kitty. Because guys, this is her's and my baby. We built it from the ground up, and though she doesn't take near the credit she should, she did a lot here, too. Causing Kitty pain hurts me more than anything else. She's my best friend and my sister, I'd do anything I could to make her happy. Me being here makes her happy, so how can I refuse?

Besides that, VS is my baby, too. I've worked damn hard here and I want to see it thrive and prosper. I've realized today just how addicted I am to this place, because I kept itching to come check in.

Anyway. For those reasons and a few more, I've decided to revoke my resignation. There are a few qualifiers, though. I'm going to be focusing on myself for a while, as selfish as that sounds. The admins but a lot into this place, sacrificing our own play time to do it, and with the revamp finally finished for the most part, I'm going to take a break from being an admin and just enjoy being a member. So yes, I'll answer question and help with code problems and such. But for right now, I won't be spawning wilds or activating events or accepting profiles.

Just for now, though.
