Yuki had wandered away from Lesa and company once they reached the breeding center. He'd dropped off Linus in the PC and made his way to the Gym. He already had the Cobble Badge and the Stone Edge TM, but what he didn't have was a revived Claw Fossil.
The white haired lad was holding it close to his chest as he walked inside the Gym, clearing his throat once. "Umm..Cliff? I came to get my Claw Fossil revived...I got it back before the mines got destroyed.." He hoped Cliff was willing to help him..

The rock-type Gym Leader grumbled at the voice, thinking the group had returned, but found it was only the quiet Yuki wanting to speak to him. Seeing the claw fossil in his hands, Cliff smirked and gestured for the lad to follow him.
"Alrighty then, this way. Our old fossil revival machine got snatched by Team Necro, but luckily they didn't know about our prototype." He said, leading him into a room with a massive computer. This computer was like a giant box that filled half the large room, and it was covered in all sorts of screens and lights. Clearing his throat, Cliff grabbed Yuki's shoulder firmly.
"Now here is how it works. This door here, the one that looks like a microwave door, that actually IS a microwave. At least, it was. We rewired it so that it gives off a different kind of radiation, Biowave Radiation. Ya stick the fossil in the microwave here, then we turn it on like you were cooking a frozen dinner. The machine attached to the microwave will scan it, tell ya what your fossil is and then it will disintegrate the fossil which then gets infused with the DNA of living prehistoric pokemon today, and then it is formed in here." He said, pointing to a tube-like capsule in the corner.

Yuki was rather confused at all the things Cliff mentioned, but if it would get him a prehistoric friend.. He handed the fossil to Cliff, smiling a bit. "I didn't understand a word you just said..But I trust you with my fossil."
Bruce popped his head out of Yuki's bag, curious to see what was going on. He'd crawled inside at some point during the trip. The Mienfoo was quite intrigued by fossil pokemon, and he wanted to learn more!

Cliff let out a hearty laugh and took the Fossil gingerly from Yuki's hands, putting it inside the microwave and closing the door. Pushing some of the buttons on it, the microwave began whirring, activating the machine. "Cover your ears, it's gonna get REALLY loud." He said just as the machine began roaring. The mighty sound of the machine got louder and louder and a bright light filled the room. The light came from the capsule as a yellow energy swirled inside, and Cliff nudged Yuki in the direction of the capsule. "HERE IT COMES!" He yelled in anticipation. The microwave screamed its completion and just like that, the machine stopped, the swirling yellow energy abruptly disappearing, leaving a tiny sleeping pokemon at the bottom of the capsule. Cliff ran over to the capsule and quickly lifted it open, holding it up with one hand while scooping the pokemon with the other. He quickly jumped back while the plexiglass slammed back down, and Cliff carried the revived pokemon over to it's new trainer. "Here ya are. A brand new Anorith. It'll wake up soon." He said with a smile, holding it out to Yuki. Yuki stared in awe at the little prehistoric Pokemon. He cradled the sleeping Anorith in his arms and cooed softly. Soon the little guy did wake up, staring at Yuki in wild wonder. The young lad was speechless for a moment.
He was cradling a piece of Pokemon history in his arms, and he was filled with such joy. It was like he was a parent to this Pokemon! "Ano? Ano-rith.." Mama? Ma-ma... Yuki lost it then. Tears started spilling from his eyes as he hugged the little Anorith. "He's..so adorable..and amazing..Aren't you..little Daedalus?"
Bruce stared at his trainer from his place in Yuki's pack. It was like this one little Pokemon had completely broken him from his slump. A miracle, as it were. The red and yellow Pokemon waved once at the Anorith, glad that such a simple act could bring his friend back to normal.
