As the group neared the city limits of Torrentia, Gauge did one final sweep over his things to make sure he had everything he needed, tossing his bag in another thinner, waterproof bag he'd managed to pick up in town. The breeder gave the city on the lake another glance from over his shoulder before sighing, looking at the pokeballs on his waist. He only had Sitka out for the time being, but that was because the Angel Absol didn't exactly have a pokeball to return to. The winged canine looked up and eyed the Wingull as they soared overhead, tail twitching when Gauge patted his back.
"You'd better fly overhead unless you want to get your feathers wet" he advised, arching a brow as the pokemon's expression changed. Suddenly, Sitka's wings struck out from his sides, forcing Gauge to step back as he propelled himself into the air, ignoring the other birds as they squawked and fled from his path. Smirking, the breeder sighed and released the pokemon from the darkest capsule he had, overly surprised when Ipswich appeared in the water in front of them and floated calmly, waving in a beckoning manner to Gauge.
"Do you guys have water pokemon you can ride across the route to Quakita? If not, I hear Aquafina and Becker's pokemon willingly act as ferries if you need them" he asked, throwing his bag over his shoulder before getting in the water with his pokemon.

"I don't really have a water Pokemon," Amy said, looking into the water in front of them and waving her hand through it as she thought. She did have Moltres, but she was already mad enough that they had to come here to begin with. Flying over the water didn't seem like something she'd be especially keen on doing and getting a legendary Pokemon angry wasn't something Amy felt like doing either. As she stood there contemplating how she was going to get across, she noticed something moving underneath the water and moved back as a Gorebyss leaped out of the water with a splash.
"What are you doing here?" Amy asked, recognizing the Pokemon from her test. Turning forward, Gorebyss cheerfully floated in the water, waiting until Amy carefully climbed onto her back.
