As soon as Sala touched base in the city, Kain had gotten a map of the place to see where the Pokemon Center was. After a quick look, he quickly identified the area where the Pokemon Center was and hastily set off in its direction.
After walking through the doorway, he smiled and stretched a bit, going for the counter immediately. Unclipping his Pokeballs from his belt, he immediately brought them to Nurse Joy, who nodded a bit and took them to the back room to be healed. She looked at the Eevee though and asked in a sweet but concerned voice, "What about your oddly colored Eevee? She seems in bad shape..."
Kain was surprised that Nurse Joy considered the eevee to be his, but after snuggling up against him the whole way, he smiled. Prodding her awake, he asked her if she would like to join him on adventures. Giving a minute to think, she surprised everyone by saying in a loud voice, "NO! I want to be with Kainnnn!" And before he could do much more, she pressed her nose against a Pokeball and watched as it fluttered, fluttered, caught. Kain, now relieved, gave the Nurse his Pokeball, letting them all heal.

As Gear walked into the Pokemon center, still riding on Sala's back, he took each of his Pokeballs off of his belt and handed them to Nurse Joy. "Wait...She could talk?" Gear asked as the Eevee shouted out her request.
"Ab," You need to pay better attention, Sala said, lowering herself to rest.

Kain shrugged and looked at Gear. "Honestly, i didnt notice the eevee until you laughed. No clue how, since it was sitting on my shoulder and all..." He looked down a bit, thinking. "Seems kind of odd, that Eevee... Cold too, especially with that cool attack. I-" Suddenly, when he shifted his bag, he felt a slight chink of two things hitting each other.
Suspicious, since he knew that everything should be fine in there, he looked inside the bag and fished out the odd object; a blue stone with bubbles in it. Kain smiled, now even more curious. "An evolution stone! This will be perfect for Paws!" He looked at Gear and chuckled. "I am going to name her Paws... or Derpypaws with her kind of attitude!" He laughed a bit and stuck the stone back in his bag.

"Ooh," Gear said, marveling at the Water Stone in Kain's hand. "Where'd you get that from?" he asked as Nurse Joy returned with their Pokeballs. "Yay!" Gear cheered happily as he ran forward to take his own Pokemon.

Kain shrugged as he got his pokemon and returned them to his belt. "I have no clue honestly... might have been from Paws, which is what i am calling my new Eevee..." He chuckled a bit. "Maybe even Derpypaws with all the randomness it likes to come up with.." He smiled a bit and looked at Gear, making his mind up again. "Hey, Gear... how about we do a double battle this time? Maybe against each other or some wilds, i dont know... what do you think?"

"Hmm..." Gear said, shutting his eyes in thought. For a few moments, he stood there completely still, thinking, until he finally snapped his fingers out of the blue cheerfully. "That sounds like a great idea! Using two is better than just using one, right?" he said happily as Sala let out a loud yawn and stretched her wings back out.

Kain smiled and nodded at girl. "Yeah, although, it will be a bit more for our Pokemon to level up... Ah well! After a few rounds, we should be all good, right?" Without a word, he set out to the next Route, getting ready for his next battle with Gear.

As they arrived back in Torrentia, Gear walked up to the Nurse Joy on duty and handed her his Pokemon cheerfully, Sala included this time as she was beginning to tire out from the repeated trips back and forth between routes.

Kain sighed and pushed open the doors, probably entering them for about the fifth time today. Honestly it was starting to get a little monotonous with all the going back and forth, but he was starting to get used to it... His Pokemon however, weren't so lucky. Derpy had been exhausted from the long battles and trips back and forth so he had put her into her Pokeball for now, just to let her rest. That was something they all needed, a rest.
He didnt feel so compelled to move anywhere now and he handed the Pokeballs to Nurse Joy, slightly troubled by all the trips he and Gear had made. Kain waved off the worried look with a smile and said, "Don't worry, we are done for today... I think we are gonna take a break for now." Nurse Joy, relieved at the choice, silently took the balls away to get healed up.

As Gear sat waiting for Nurse Joy to finish taking care of their Pokemon, he let out a small yawn. As excited as he was, he was starting to feel a little tired. Maybe it would be best to take a break for a bit.
