It was odd that one of the trainers was able to see what was coming for them, mostly because the pokemon that were on 'rampage' and heading their way were quite... miniscule. They were too tiny to even call tiny, really, and as they wriggled and squirmed their way towards Arey and Anthony, they let out 'mighty' war cries.
"Wurmple, Wurmple Wurmple!"
"Weeeeeeeedle!"
They cried, the most serious and epic of faces plastered to them as they continued. Ho noes! The two had better get ready for a full-out war - these bugs were serious! "What are you looking at Rook?" Arey asked the talking Sandile curiously, she then glanced over direction of where the Pokemon seem to have been looking at. Within the blink of an eye excitement started to take over the young lady's body once her eyes connected with the Wurmple. "A Wurmple!" She cooed, pointing toward the tiny worm Pokemon, who didn't seem to be too excited about seeing her. :"If it's a battle they want, it's a battle that they're going to get. Ailey use Quick Attack!" She commanded swiftly.
[RESULT: 5]
The Emolga quickly leaped from her trainer's shoulder and rushed toward the Wurmple with a rapid, yet graceful Quick Attack.

"Alrighty then lets go Fern!" Anthony said sending out his Chimchar. Arey had claimed the Wurmple so that left the Weedle to him. It wasn't something he wanted so it would make for good training before the first gym.
"Fern use Ember!" Anthony shouted as the Chimchar spat out small flames.
[RESULT: 7] +1 (it was a 6 but changed after)
Causing some nice damage the the bug pokemon. While Fern looked quite pleased.
Fern: 23/23
Weedle: 8/15
Wurmple didn't like being attacked and charged forward attempting a bug bite attack.
[RESULT: 7]-1
Wurmple bit down on Emolga's tail hurting it.

The Weedle quickly let out a painful cry once the hot flames touched his tiny body. Since the attack was super effective, it caused a great amount of damage to the warm. Now, feeling angry the Weedle pointed his stringer toward the fire monkey Pokemon, releasing a blast of Poison Sting into her direction.
[RESULT: 7]
Fern: 16/23
Weedle: 8/15
A little surprised by the Wurmple's attack, Ailey soon cried out slowly after feeling the worm Pokemon bite down on her tail. "Try to shake it off with Thundershock!" Arey commended and within seconds the Emolga fired it's electric attack.
[RESULT: 6]
After watching the Wurmple take the damage from Ailey's attack, Arey quickly took the opportunity to toss a Pokeball at it, capturing it after three shakes.

Anthony watched as Arey captured the Wurmple and called out "Good job Arey!" before turning back to his own battle where the Weedle had launched a poison sting attack hitting Fern hard.
"Fern use another ember attack." Anthony called as the fire monkey attacked by breathing flames.
[RESULT: 7] +1
The flames licked across the Weedle knocking it out.

This bug brigade was down for the count as the trainers and their partners gave them a good wallop, almost pulverizing the little things into non-existence with how intense the battle was. However, as one of the bugs' enemies became poisoned, it was as if the other pokemon on the route could sense it. Eyes peered silently from to bushes to stare at the infected Chimchar, however, none of them moved forward to get a better look once the Weedle was knocked unconscious and the Wurmple was captured.

Finally, two more pokemon interrupted their travels, the bird's head held high as he fluttered onto the scene. So what Fern had been poisoned? Big whoop! It wasn't like it was able to spread through touching her. Besides, being poisoned made her a weaker enemy! The Pidgey chirruped and flapped closer to the group, pecking at the ground irritably. Seemed his flapping had drawn the attention of a very scatterbrained Zigzagoon as well, and he tilted his head at the ruckus, oblivious to everything.

Anthony gave Fern an Antidote before having her get ready to fight the next pokemon. "Alrighty then use Scratch on Pidgey!" Anthony ordered his newly cured pokemon.
Chimchar ran forward attempting to scratch the bird.
[RESULT: 1]
Fern did a little damage as the bird flew up to avoid the attack.

The Pidgey chirped mischievously after feeling the gentle claws rub against his feathery body, barely causing any damage to him at all. Flying into the air, the tiny bird Pokemon quickly dived downward into the direction of the Chimchar, hoping to land a powerful Tackle.
[RESULT: Miss]
Fern: 16/23
Pidgey: 14/15
Unfortunately, the fiery monkey seem to have been a bit faster than him, so his Tackle was a miss.
Locking eyes with the Zigzagoon, Kingston quickly bolted into battle. "Kingston, use Tackle!" Nodding his head, the grass snake Pokemon rushed toward the Zigzagoon at full speed, hoping to take it down with a body charge.
[RESULT: 8]

The Pidgey was hit hard by the powerful flames coming from the Chimchar's mouth, as a matter of fact the hot flames scorched a couple of the tiny bird's beautiful brown feathers. Letting out an angry chirp, the Pidgey dived toward the Chimchar once again with another Tackle, this time he wasn't planning on missing his mark.
[RESULT: 8]
Fern: 8/23
Pidgey: 6/15
"Take that!"The Pidgey thought to himself.
Meanwhile, Kingston was taken aback by the Zigzagoon's Tackle attack, which seem to have matched his own Tackle attack quite equally. Releasing an annoyed hiss at his foe, Kingston quickly charged at the normal Pokemon once again with another Tackle.
[RESULT: 8]
Kingston's high powered Tackle attack quickly nailed the Zigzagoon head on side, causing him to fly into the air and then back down onto the ground with a loud THUMP. "That's showing him who's the boss!" Arey shouted, praising her Pokemon for his first victory.

"Alright Fern Attack with Scratch!"Anthony commanded upon seeing how Arey had finnished her foe first.
Fern ran forward claws out ready to scratch the foe.
[RESULT: 9]
The claws savegly raked the poor bird pokemon knocking it to the ground.
Fern: 8/23 winner
Pidgey: 0/15
"Good Job Fern!" Anthony said picking up his Chimchar.

After the intense battle, Kingston walked toward his trainer and carefully leaped into her arms. "You were awesome buddy!" She cooed, still praising him for his amazing victory. "If we keep winning like this, we'll continue to get even closer to reaching out dreams." She added, cuddling her Snivy gently.
"You and Fern were awesome too, Anthony." She stated with a warm smile, glancing over at the trainer and his Chimchar. "I guess we should continue to follow this path," she suggested, leading the group further down the path.

After a few more minutes of walking down the path, Arey finally came to a stop. "We've been walking for a while now, how about we take a short break or something?" She asked Anthony and Rook. Meanwhile, Ailey was resting on her trainer's head and Kingston was alsleep in her arms.

"That sounds good to me." Anthony said looking for a clearing where they could relax.
"How about there." Rook said pointing to a clearing that had a couple of stumps that could be used as seats.
"Sounds good to me. So Arey what made you decide to become a coordinator?" Anthony said taking a seat on one of the stumps.
