Shimo had now officially begun his journey as a pokemon coordinator. As of right now there where no contests happening and to tell the truth, Shimo wasn't ready for a contest just yet. His mind was set on creating combinations that are beautiful, yes, but he also wished for himself to be close to his pokemon.
The coordinator walked along the tall grass with his Chickorita being held in his arms and his Larvesta squirming along side him. The tall grass was fine and in fact quite peaceful for the moment. Even though Shimo would want to try battling with his pokemon, he did feel that it is nice to have moments of peace. His two pokemon seemed to be enjoying it as well.
After a few minutes of walking in the dense path of tall grass, Shimo heard a rustling from a patch of grass near by. Ignis, his Larvesta had jumped on to the teenager's foot and the Chickorita had jumped out of his arms and stood, ready to defend.

Random rustling usually meant pokemon, and Shimo's team did well to be on guard at the sound. Just because this was the first route didn't mean that there weren't some doozies for awaiting trainers! However, the brown pokemon that waddled out from under the bush wasn't really something that should have been growled at. He was a peaceful fellow, and regarded Shimo solemnly, blinking several times before waddling somewhere else, eventually standing directly in front of him before clearing his throat.
"Bi-Bidoof, Bidoof Bidoof." Welcome to the forest. I will be your first battle today it said, shuffling his paws while waiting patiently for the first move. Er, okay... that wasn't strange at all.

The pokemon that jumped out of the grass was a Bidoof. When the Chickorita saw the other pokemon, he relaxed just a bit but still in an alert position. Shimo looked at the Bidoof and watched it speak in it's tongue. It's apparent that he wished to fight because the Chickorita gave a signal to the teenager to give out a command to attach the beaver-pokemon. Shimo have a short nod and gave out his command. "Okay Poppy, use tackle!" The Chickorita jumped up to the Bidoof in a tackle as the Larvesta watched, stationary on Shimo's foot. In the much better preformed tackle of the Bidoof, the Chickorita had taken a bit of damage. It was nothing major; just a small injury is all. Still, the energetic pokemon was full of strength left to fight.
Shimo called out to his pokemon "Okay Poppy, use Tackle again!" He have out the order and the Chickorita followed. Poppy charged forth with a burst of energy, hoping to land a hit on the Bidoof.

This time, the Chickorita was even more determined to land a blow on the Bidoof. He stood up after the attack, waiting for his trainer to give a command out.
Shimo had decided it was time to use a different attack, so he gave out the order of the only other offensive move the Chickorita knew. "Poppy, use Leafstorm."
The Chickorita gave out another attack this time, whipping his hair leaf back and forth.
[RESULT: 8]
