Freya squeaked in surprise as Nadia's foot came stomping down close to where she was trying to scuttle next to her trainer. Shocked by such a careless step, Freya used her large head to but Nadia's calf a bit, warning her to be more careful.
"Wha- Oh! Arceus, I'm sorry Freya." And Nadia was. She was just worked up a bit, mostly about Aidan. She was a bit jealous of his luck with catching a legendary, but more upset with the fact he had decided to just take off. Huffing, Nadia crossed her arms. He could have gotten hurt! Team Necro was known for some pretty shady stuff.
He hadn't been bothered in the slightest though. In fact, he had waved off Nadia's worries. So in response, she had stormed off, because apparently two could play at that game.
Nadia was genuinely surprised Cassie had decided to accompany her. She cast a glance over her shoulder at the dark-haired girl. The Coordinator must have been itching to get a move on, as Nadia was sure Cassie would prefer Aidan's company over her own, especially since he had caught a legendary as well.
Bored of the silence, Nadia tried to start a casual conversation.
"So.... How ya holding up Cass?"

"I've had longer days than this Nadia. Don't worry about me!" Cassie grinned. "I'll stay out here until you catch a Pokemon. I won't go back in a second sooner. When we run into wilds you get the first pick. I'm just here for training. Unless I see something I just can't resist I'm not going to catch anything."
She smiled down at Arid and Mirage that were walking close to her. Well Arid was walking, the Mew was sitting on his back. "I already have two of Pokemon maybe even three for my perfect team. I have Oasis for a water type and Scorch will eventually evolve into a Charizard so I'll be able to fly with him. Maybe when Arid evolves I'll be able to ride on his back. So all I'm missing is a messenger. Though maybe Mirage can have that slot."
Cassie adjusted her glasses her glasses as she thought it over.

Taken aback by Cassie's cheery response, Nadia stumbled a bit. Catching herself, she slowed her pace slightly so that Cassie would catch up to her and they could walk side by side.
"Thanks Cassie!" Nadia beamed, using Cassie's full name for the first time. "I really appreciate that. I definitely would love a new team member."
Freya chattered in agreement, scurrying in a bug like fashion backwards so she could playfully nudge Arid with her noise. Nadia giggled a bit then continued. "But really thanks~ And I'm sure you and your team are gonna be great in the next contest!" winked Nadia. "Show my bro a thing or two."

Cassie shrugged, "I'm not worried about it. Dad just wanted me out of the house and out of his hair. So I'm don't care how long it takes to get all my ribbons. Though I wish he'd of waited until round up was over before booted me off to Dust town. I'm missing it!" Cassie wailed then pouted. "I've been waiting all year to show my improvement to the rest of the hands."
She huffed then sighed, "Well I got Mirage and Arid thanks to the timing so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. Look on the bright side and all that right?"

"Haha well at least your dad let you help out at all!~" cheered Nadia. "And of course! Always look on the bright side. I'd be some boring, stuffy soul if I hadn't," she agreed.
"Trap!~" Boop!~ Freya was having quite a fun time gently poking Arid, the poison type being well-mannered about it.

Arid shook his head at the other bug. Then picked her up in his claws and placed her on his back out of the way with Mirage. Cassie looked down at her Pokemon ."You're turning into a regular pack Ponyta."
"Skoo"So?
"And no my aunt did not my dad. He doesn't know anything about a round up."

Out of nowhere, a cute little purple kitten emerged from the shadows of the forest, mewling up at Cassie and Nadia. He was trying his best to look cute, but honestly, he was eyeing some of her items. Ah, yes... which one should the devious pokemon take? Meanwhile, from the other side, a rather bored and seemingly tired pokemon emerged, stretching his jaws wide as he yawned. Oh bore, this place wasn't very interesting... but what were these things? Cassie and Nadia were odd looking pokemon. The Deino lumbered forward, tilting his head in curiosity.

Nadia couldn't help but whoop at the sight of the wilds. She was in dire need of some excitement and a new party member.
"Alright then Cassie! I'm try for the Deino," Nadia grinned, clenching her fists in determination.
"Let's see a Bulldoze Freya!"

"Not this time!" Nadia growled, determination sparkling in her eyes as Freya steadied herself. "Charge forward with Bulldoze again!"

The Purrloin let out a his of surprise as the Poison type let loose a painful attack. Digging its claws into the ground momentarily to stable itself, the pokemon let out a his. Then, leaping forward, it aimed a Faint Attack in Arid's direction.

Without any hesitation Nadia took a pokeball from her bag and launched it at the Dragon type, willing to take no chances on her first capture.
She grinned when the pokeball clicked, the capture successful.

Purrloin purred in amusement as Arid's attack did little. Was this all his opponent had? He flexed his claws, raking forward for a Scratch attack.

Arid gave a sort of his own. Looks like you can't hit well either.
Cassie called out her next command. "Get back Arid and use your Poison Sting."
Arid jumped back and let out a massive wave of Poison sting.

Well, he had no choice in the matter, really. Not only was he bored of this place, but that annoying little Trapinch had whittled his health down to nearly nothing! But oh well. The girl seemed nice enough, and he was tired. The Deino submitted to being captured for now, although, after getting healed, he would expect some form of entertainment.

Cassie floded her arms and glared at the fainted cat. that's what you get for trying to steal my stuff. Yes that's right she saw right through the cute act.
"Arid come." she snapped and pointed next to her feet. He scuttled over quickly. Cassie looked him over. Only light scratches could be seen, and only on his hard exoskeleton with no blood to be see. "Good job my boy." She praised.
Finally she turned to Nadia. "Nice catch. You finally have your second Pokemon. Where to next? Keep moving forward or head back to Gustella? Or are we going to wait for your brother and Abby?"
