Pegasus was on the back of his beloved Ponyta as he rode with the rest of the group into Gustella Town. It was always the first stop after one received a starter from Professor Conifer's lab. However, Pegasus simply wasn't one of those people because he had his Pokemon with him ever since he started his journey way back in Kanto.
He had offered Heaven a ride, if she wanted. His Ponyta was pretty good about not burning anyone, especially someone Pegasus liked. She was very well mannered and so it wouldn't have been a threat. Tolouse was sure to be nearby somewhere riding her Pokemon. Really though, Pegasus was paying little attention to his surroundings at the moment.
He was very much enjoying the surroundings. It had been awhile since he had been in a town or anything. He typically enjoyed being out in the wild on and off the various routes other adventurers took on their Pokemon journey. He liked exploring the lay of the land. But from time to time, it was nice to be around civilization.
'Ah Gustella Town. I say we get us some grub and chow down. I'm starvin'. What about yall? Hmmmm?" Pegasus asked the rest of his group. Oh man, could he ever go for a nice big juicy steak right about now! His stomach began to growl a little at the thought of food.

Heaven had surprised herself when she had accepted Pegasus's offer for a ride on his Ponyta. She was usually very independent, but after chasing after her new Houndour, Quartz, after he had popped out of his pokeball, running into a talking Trapinch, who she named Dune, a black Meowth, Nox, and a gold Lickitung, Nugget, had worn her out. She had merely nodded when Pegasus made his offer, clutching a dozing Voodoo in her arms.
"Food, yes food sounds good," she agreed, her stomach choosing to rumble then. of course, it had been a while since she had eaten anything in some time. Had she eaten before she'd left the lab? Had she eaten at all that day? She didn't think so. "I want something fried and covered in ketchup," she said after she let loose a loud yawn.

...Gustella. As much as she didn't want to admit it, the racer would have had to agree with Pegasus if she'd heard him mention something about preferring routes that avoided towns rather than going into them. However, as she looked around this one, she reckoned it wasn't too bad. Quaint. A bit busier than Dust Town, at least, in an actual community way, but still quaint. Not too big. Remote enough to stay free of too much drama. Still, her face held a bit of a frown as they rode in, Keldeo keeping pace with Ponyta. Even though they were merely trotting into town, he wouldn't let the fire type out-do him.
"Eh, yeah, might as well. Never know when the next chance to eat'll be" Tolouse replied, yawning due to boredom right after Heaven did. Looks like they'd left Andrew behind on the way here, but that was fine with her. Kept them slowed down without him having a pokemon to ride anyway, and she wasn't too keen on looking for wild pokemon at the moment. Davis was currently all she needed - he could race both on land and water. Good enough for her. Besides, none of the wilds they'd seen had piqued her interest.
Slowly, she pulled Davis back to stop, eyeing a small restaurant-like store from afar. "That looks like a good place fer whatever she had in mind" she announced to no-one in particular. Quickly, though, she focused on the Pokemon Center. "I think I'll just mosey onto the Center now though. Nothin' for me 'till Davis is checked up on."

"Fried and covered in ketchup? A gal after my own heart. Well let's get us somethin' to eat, instead of just talkin' about it. My tummy's a rumblin' too" Pegasus agreed with his riding partner. As the group continued riding into town, Ponyta seemed as though she didn't notice Davis' desire to stay at an even pace with her. She could race when Pegasus was in the mood for it, but if her rider wasn't in that sort of mindset then she certainly wasn't. The Ponyta was a pretty calm one.
When Tolouse spoke of not knowing when the next time they would eat would be, Pegasus spoke up again. "Well then, we'll just have to stock up on some rations. I usually keep a few days worth with me. I like bein' out and about on the trails if it's not time for a competition and only like to come to town when I have to restock. Pegasus reached for his bag and began looking through it. He had a day or two of food rations and a canister full of water. Still, it'd be nice to go ahead and restock again. Who knew when and where their next stop would be.
When Pegasus quit digging through his bag, he noticed Tolouse speaking of a nearby restaurant. "Hmmmmmm?" He questioned, then looked over to where she was talking about. "Oh. Gotcha. Yeah, that place looks like it sure does have some good food. You go ahead and take care of Davis." Pegasus answered her.
He then turned his attention back to Heaven. "Well little lady, I say we mosey on down to that restaurant, make ourselves comfortable, and order some food! It'll be my treat." Pegasus spoke to Heaven as Ponyta stopped infront of the restaurant. He dismounted first and offered to help Heaven off of Ponyta. He then took Ponyta's reigns and tied them to a nearby post. He gave her a pat on her neck and spoke to her. "I'll make sure to get some water for ya, girl."
Truth be told, even though Pegasus was a good old fashioned country boy, he had saved himself up quite a bit of money between the races he participated in and everything else. He was pretty strict about what he spent and knew he had the money to splurge on a decent meal. After all, it wasn't often he got to eat with company and he couldn't remember the last time he had a good meal that wasn't food rations or whatever fruit he came across that was edible or the like.

She was nodding along half heartedly, exhausted to the bone, when she heard that Pegasus was going to pay. Wait, what?! No! She could pay for herself! She'd had plenty of money left over from selling Nana's things. "I can pay for myself, Pegasus. Thanks for the offer though." She flashed him a small smile before glancing after Tolouse.
"Before we eat, can I get Voodoo looked at? He's done a lot of battling today, and I just got him." The aforementioned fox yawned widely, starting to wake up in his trainers arms. "Zorua.." he mummbled sleepily, nuzzling into Heaven's arms.

Tolouse snorted, daring to glance back at Pegasus. So he agreed that easily, then? He'd rather worry about his own gut instead of the state of his pokemon? Ponyta was a strong, healthy gal. She'd admit that. But she'd been going for how long, and with added people on her back? A good check at the Pokemon Center would do her good, just as it would Davis. She knew he was fine, but there was no need to take chances. Pity, she thought Pegasus was better than that.
She turned, not stopping Davis's pace, to look back towards her destination. And then Heaven mentioned something about her pokemon. Curious, Tolouse glanced back again. Hmm. Maybe that girl had a good head on her shoulders, after all. But she wasn't about to stop the Keldeo in his tracks and volunteer to take Voodoo for her. He was her responsibility, and it wasn't Tolouse's job to help her take care of her own pokemon. When they arrived at the door, Tolouse dismounted and held the door open, clearing her throat. "Well, if that's the case, hurry it up. The faster you get him looked at, the faster ya can eat."

What Tolouse didn't know was that being raised on a farm full of Ponyta and Rapidash, Pegasus learned how to treat his own Pokemon. Ponyta, in particular, he refused to let anyone else but him treat her. He also knew Ponyta's limits. She had little trouble with the one Pokemon she fought earlier and the short ride to Gustella Town wasn't much of a problem for her. She was trained to race and was quite used to plenty of weight on her back.
"Well I'll get us a table reserved and treat Ponyta in the meantime" Pegasus called out to the two then disappeared inside the building. After awhile, he came back out with a bucket of water and a bucket of food for her. As she dipped her head down to begin drinking the water, Pegasus patted her on her side, the flames never bothering or burning his hands. "That a girl." He encouraged her gently as she moved her head to the bucket of food to begin nibbling at it.
