Alan knew for awhile that he had to do the gym battle soon and so this would be the last round of training before he headed back. And it would last as long as one of his Pokemon was still able to fight and in good condition.
He just had to hope for no bad luck and he would get plenty of training in but then again, he would only get in probably a few at the most, but he was happy that he could get in any training in at all. He was pushing his Pokemon quite hard but all that pushing would pay off in the end. He cared for his Pokemon but there would be trade-offs that he couldn't avoid if he wanted a team that could take on almost anything. That goal though was far away and so he just had to go with small steps. He didn't care how his companion, Amy, did things as it wasn't his concern. She would be just fine.

Looking over at Alan for a moment, Amy focused her attention on the Squirtle who was attached to her leg. "Come on hun, you can't just keep being afraid. Go out there," she encouraged her new Pokemon, who simply kept her grip tight as she held on. "Having trouble with your Pokemon?" a girl asked as Amy turned to see two girls approaching her and Alan. "A battle might be able to help you," she said, reaching for a Pokeball. Alan looked at the two Pokemon, not knowing exactly the Pokemon of either one, and so he pulled out his Pokedex. He scanned both Pokemon, not paying attention to the trainers as he did so, and then after he finished the scan and got the names then he put the Pokedex away.
So, that’s what they were. He eyed each Pokemon wondering about which opponent he would fight. One looked like a fighter. The other one didn’t look like such a fighter. He wanted the better of the two. So, now was the time. He put his hands in his pocket as he looked back towards the girl who definitely looked like someone who trained her body. This would be a more interesting fight.
“I’m Alan. Wish you luck, you’ll need it” he said sternly as he pulled out a pokeball of his own. Show them your worth, Hope.”
Hope looked over at her opponent, before momentarily checking up on her trainer, and then focused on her opponent.
“Ok. Hit it off with a water attack” he said snapping his fingers together.
Seel shot out a ring of water straight towards the Mienfoo.
[RESULT: 9]
The water attack struck the fighting Pokemon hard in the stomach and most of everything else. The attack both pushed the Pokemon back and the Mienfoo became confused.

"A-Alright," Amy said, looking down at the Squirtle who was still clutching her leg tightly and reached for a different Pokeball, sending out Igglybuff, who cheerfully puffed herself up before glaring at Happiny. Before she could be given a command, she immediately attacked with Faint Attack. [RESULT: 2] Igglybuff: 24/24 Happiny: 13/15 ----------------------- Trying to fight off the confusion from Hope's attack, Mienfoo attempted to attack with Low Kick. Unfortunately, she had not fully recovered yet and knocked herself out, forcing her trainer to send out her second Pokemon. Alan smirked as he saw the Mienfoo knock herself out from the attack. He scanned it with the Pokedex. He looked towards Hope, not even paying the slightest attention to the trainer in question, and he just looked disinterested.
“Just take care of this one as well” Alan replied.
Hope shot out another water pulse attack at the Mankey. She was hoping for it to hit.
[RESULT: 9]
And the attack struck home, also confusing this Pokemon. Alan smirk broadened as this fight didn't seem nearly as interesting as it did at first.
Hope: 25/25 Mankey: 6/15 (confused) ---
"Copy and use the same move on that Igglybuff!" Happiny's trainer called to her Pokemon.
Happiny took a bit of time to get ready and then she ran straight for her opponent.
[RESULT: 5]
Happiny took things in stride and struck the Igglybuff with the same attack in question. She was a straight up copycat. So young but what else could a young Pokemon do but copy others.

Alan didn't even respond at the powerful strike against his Pokemon. He didn't say a word. He knew that if he showed confidence in his Pokemon then they would do the rest.
Hope hadn't liked being kicked like that but she playfully rammed her head in the Mankey's direction. She butted him away but made sure not to hurt the other Pokemon too much. [RESULT: 5]
Hope: 16/25 Mankey: 1/15 (confused) ==
The Happiny slapped the other Pokemon with a pound attack. But she failed at even using any force behind the attack. It was more of a tap than a pound. [RESULT: 0]

Alan didn’t budge and merely smirked at the confused Mankey’s weak attack. That was right, the other trainer was weak. So, if Hope knew what was good then she would spare that Mankey any more pain from battle. That monkey was persistent, quite persistent but it was going down with this attack. Alan merely pointed at the other Pokemon, not saying a word, and Hope replied by attacking the monkey Pokemon with a water pulse attack. Her attack knocked the other Pokemon out. She looked back towards her trainer and smiled. She didn't want to see him lose.
[RESULT: 5]
Hope: 15/25 Mankey: *Fainted*
---------------
"Happiny!" the little baby Pokemon cried out as she copied the same attack and attacked back. She struck harder with the attack than the other Pokemon did. This was exciting. To her, this was merely a game to her. She didn't realize how serious a battle was.

Alan looked at the last Pokemon, a Heracross. He still obtained the small amount of data for it onto his Pokedex but it wasn't much of anything of use. He would finish this Pokemon off completely with Hope. She was his first Pokemon after all and so she should be able to do one battle after another consecutively. While, he may have found this a bit cruel, it was a handy way to get a Pokemon trained. He would allow the Pokemon to get a good amount of rest afterwards.
"Hit it again" he commanded swiftly.
Hope launched another one of its water pulse attacks at the Heracross. The attack hit the Heracross dead-on.
[RESULT: 5]
Hope: 15/25 Heracross: 10/15 --
Happiny, being commanded by its trainer, mimicked the other Pokemon's move again and struck back. She could barely manage to do even a little damage with what energy that she had left. She was about ready to faint.

Alan smiled as he looked elsewhere. Hope had this one in the bag and so why bother with looking at the opponent. He put his hands in his pocket and had a nonchalant look on his face as he started to not take this battle at all that seriously. Hope took this as a sign to just continue to attack the way that it had been by releasing its only water attack at the bug/fighting type Pokemon across it. This Heracross would be done and she would win for her trainer. Her attack struck home and the Heracross started to wobble a bit from the effects of the Water Pulse attack.

Hope charged in trying to ram its head straight into Heracross. Alan watched patiently as there wasn’t much else that he could do. This Heracross was tough but Hope would win. She had to win this fight. There was no other option. And he knew that she wanted to win. Hope rammed straight into the Heracross with all the force that she could muster and the Heracross was sent skidding across the ground where it then fainted on the spot.
[RESULT: 9]
Hope: 5/25 Heracross: 0/15 ---
The Cleffa took the blow and decided to sing trying to put her opponent to sleep without her trainer’s command. She was quite foolish and seemed to want to get things over with. Cleffa bit her tongue as she tried to sing the sleeping melody that she wanted to do so and stopped immediately.

Igglybuff: 12/24 Cleffa: 8/15
