The Grunt, as Abby's mind conceived the person ahead of her, stood there, laughing like a madman at the chaos its poor Pokemon caused. It didn't cause as much anymore, due to the combined efforts of Jolie and Presto, barraging the Pokemon with attacks, but Abby knew that her Pokemon wouldn't be able to hold up forever. ------------------------------------------------------------- Back on the other side of town, due to the combined efforts of several Pokemon and trainers, the Legendaries were slowly being taken down, one by one, and the people had finally been evacuated thoroughly. After Missy and Ivy check a few more blocks of buildings, they turned around immediately, heading back to Abby to lend some of their support. ------------------------------------------------------------- Abby, meanwhile, had finally gotten over the last rubble pile, finally nearing the gargantuan body of pain and frustration. Abby's own emotions were a mix of pity, anger, and for some reason, guilt. Like she had done this to the Pokemon and not the Grunt who had finally stopped cackling, noticing Abby's presence. The Grunt, smiling as Abby approached him, threw his hands up in the air and laughed openly, evidently power-happy. "Ha! Is this what they dished up to go against me and my powerful Regigigas?" The Regigigas moaned morosely, as if its own name was a curse on itself. The Grunt ignored it and simply just looked up at the Legendary, smiling like a fool. "In all my years I have never thought myself to be this powerful but now, i can tear this place apart, brick by brick! But first, I think I will start with-" WHAM! Quick as the snap from a whip, Abby had cleared the distance between her and the Grunt with only a few short strides. When she was close enough, she slid her guitar out of its sheath and struck it across his fast with enough force to knock him off the ground a few feet, some tiny white squares spurting out of his mouth along the way. He fell like a sack of potatoes and lay there, motionless. Unconscious or dead, Abby didn't care at that moment. She just stood there, panting heavily as all her Pokemon, along with the newly released Regigigas, just stared at her, quite shocked at the sudden rage that Abby had let forth on the grunt. With a few more huffs, she stood up and cleaned some of her unruly hair and wiped the new blood from her guitar. It now had two good scratches on the front of it but she didn't care. Abby smiled. It was a pretty damn good hit!

Sawyer had thought she'd done well by trying to gain the upper hand. To her, it seemed like a smart move - wasn't that something one wanted when in a battle against stacked odds? An advantage? But apparently she was wrong in thinking so, for as soon as she called out a line of attacks, her pokemon were sent flying back at her. First, Glaciate slowed all of them down, and even Sawyer felt the effects of that - she couldn't even turn her head to so much as look at her friends and see what they were planning! Then the man's Mandibuzz lashed out with the fastest Dark Pulse she'd ever seen and further pressed them down, and after a few more words, the last Glaciate from Kyurem had the entire field of people and pokemon frozen solid.
It had all happened so fast... could this really be the end? Could this be how she were to die, at the hands of some dude in ridiculous getup riding on the back of a dead enslaved pokemon? Suddenly, she remembered the Rayquaza and Ho-oh who were also frozen behind her, having just learned that they weren't dying from old age or illness, but already dead to begin with, and suffering more with each passing second that they remained animated. Even worse, they were being frozen in a state of false death, in a way, and for all she knew, would remain frozen until hundreds of years of sunlight melted the ice. But would they still be 'alive' then? Were these pokemon able to return to the grave after being resurrected like this? Sawyer didn't know, and that was half of what made her feel so helpless. At this point she wanted to cry, but not for herself. For her pokemon, who would remain frozen in this icicle for who knows how long; for her friends' pokemon; for the legendaries that had already lived their lives once and were being forced to do so again; for the eggs that were cradled in the girls' arms that hadn't even begun to live.
But then, suddenly, Sawyer felt the ice around the lot of them beginning to chip. One by one, the very eggs she felt sorry for were beginning to glow and hatch in their own way. Lesa was the first to be freed, and then came Sawyer, a blinding light shattering her prison and a loud electrical hum accompanying it before a huge black dragon stood between her and the Kyurem. Before she knew it, everyone was free, and in front of Lesa floated a new Articuno, Celeste perched on the back of a lovely white Reshiram. The trainer's eyes were as round as saucers as she looked up, up, and even higher up to try and see the face of the pokemon that had hatched from her egg. ...That was not a Deino. Or a Riolu.
"Z-Zekrom!" she muttered, shaking her head to try and get over the fact that a freaking Zekrom had hatched from her egg. Sawyer looked up to the Necro boss and cracked a smile as she managed to see how shocked he was, and she couldn't help but feel a little more confident. In the ideal world, people like you have no place! Sawyer will make her dreams real starting with you! The masculine voice roared not only in her head, but for everyone to hear, taking a step towards their opponents. Quickly, the girl pulled out a purple and white ball, recalling the Ho-oh and shoving it back into her bag before muttering a thanks to the poor pokemon. She felt the Zekrom nudge her with his tail before rolling his eyes.
Really? A Deino? I feel degraded. Sawyer was all for jokes, but this simply wasn't the time. She nodded towards the Mandibuzz, and getting the notion, Zekrom bowed down and bellowed right into the pokemon's face, his entire body suddenly glowing with a yellow aura. You will pay for all the pain you have caused! And with that, the black dragon surged towards the Mandibuzz and Kyurem, aiming mostly for the first pokemon to try and clear a few obstacles out of their way. Sawyer then looked over to Lesa and Celeste, completely beaming and proud of how far all of them had come. Now they had a chance to win this!

"Arid keep up the Poison Sting!" Cassie shouted over the noise to her Skorupi. as she turned looking for more threats. The gym Leader and three girls were bravely fighting off some more legendary Pokemon under Team Necro's control over to her left.
Quietly she plucked Mirage's ball out of her bag and whispered to the Mew inside. "Transform into a Pidgy and look for Abby. Stay safe." Mirage popped out looking like the common Pidgy and flew quickly over the mining town.
The Palkia turned to the annoying thing causing pain in it's shoulder with consent pin pricks. Cassie dove for Arid and rolled out of the way, her glasses getting cracked in the process, as Palkia swung his arm down at their location. "That was way way too close." She could almost touch the Palkia's skin.
A rotting smell entered her nose nearly making her gag. The stench of rotting flesh. No way something that was still alive would carry that stench.

So that's what it was. They were already dead, and somehow these evil people had found a way to bring them back. Not to life, obviously, she thought, taking a quick glance back at the poor rayquaza. It was more like they'd come back as zombie pokemon. It would certainly explain the gray coloring and the inability to move with any speed. And the smell. Yep, that definitely explained the smell. No wonder the poor things wanted to go back to the Abyss. Their death must have been a peaceful time compared to all of this. To have lived your life, then just to be brought back and tortured for the gain of someone else... It wasn't right.
Of course, these thoughts occupied Lesa as they were revealed from the strange man atop the ice legendary. Not the best time to get lost in one's mind. Better to pay attention to the raging madman in front of you, girly. The breeder was brought back, though, by a roar and then the sudden sensation of burning cold as she began to be encased in a thick layer of ice. Whoops. If she'd been paying attention, she could have ordered Comet to black the mandibuzz, or called Jupiter to counter the darn bug. As it was, though, she was blasted with a dark pulse. She used it to the best of her advantage. She lifted her arms for a two-fold purpose. One, she protected her sensitive torso, and two, she used the bugs attack to slightly crack the ice encasing her arms. It was enough to allow her to fish a pokeball off of the bracelet she used to hold them, using the man's rant as he ordered the kyurem to finish them off to toss the pokeball back behind her and the graying rayquaza who was screeching in pain from the cold.
If this guy thought they were going to get rid of her that easily, he had another think comin'. He'd find that this little girl was more of a pest then he'd ever dreamed she could be. Of course, Cliff insisting that he had things 'under control' in this time of turmoil made her laugh, despite the circumstances. No, she had no intentions of dying here in this rocky city, and she was not particularly concerned for the egg she held. She had gotten it from the Blizzara breeder, after all. That meant it was at least part ice type, and that meant whatever was inside should be able to withstand the cold. The girl had a brief twinge of regret for Sawyer's and Celeste's eggs, Sawyer's in particular since she knew from the heat Celeste's put off that it was at least part fire type, and that would help. But that was a bridge to cross at a different time.
Lesa readied herself for the next blast of ice, sending a silent prayer up that the pokemon she'd freed would be enough to at least make her a nuisance in the future, and then closed her eyes. But it turned out to be unnecessary. Apparently someone else had plans of interferring and keeping her from being frozen into a solid person-cicle, which she had to admit she greatly preferred to being thawed out later. Electricity crackled around her, shattering the outer layers of ice, enough to let the egg in her arms drop and roll a short distance, where it began to grow and glow. Wow, eggs around her sure did pick interesting times to hatch. Jupiter when she was getting attacked by a rayquaza, Comet when she was being threatened by an entei, and now this one during an attack by a kyurem. She sensed a pattern going on here!
But hey, if it helped, it helped.
The egg continued to grow up, and up, and up, and she cut her eyes to the side to see that hers was not the only one. All three eggs had grown to be as big as the legendary they faced. And then, hers seemed to freeze over. The egg became brittle, and if anything the air around it became even colder as a beak broke through the frozen shell. In a matter of seconds, the biggest, brightest blue bird she had ever seen was standing in front of her. It trilled a beautiful, if eerie, song, then began to peck the ice out from around her. Soon enough she was free.
The first thing she did was slap her palm across her face. Another legendary! Honestly, it was a conspiracy! That Blizzara breeder had to have known what she was carrying! And the Paradisia head had given her a shaymin! They were plotting on her, she just knew it!
At the moment though, she had bigger things to worry about. This articuno was so not happy. Apparently attacking a legendary's chosen trainer with it's own element didn't go over too well. Who knew? A quick glance over her shoulder revealed a reshiram and a zekrom ranting at the man for trying to hurt their trainers as well. These legionaries didn't take well to their humans being attacked, Lesa noted with a soft chuckle. Just like Sawyer, she turned and returned the rayquaza to his ball, whispering her apologies to the creature for all the pain it had gone through. Then she picked up the little blue ball of fur that launched itself into her arms and climbed up onto her shoulder. "Qui?" Kale asked curiously, peeking at the articuno who had denied him his chance to use his fire. Not that he seemed to hold a grudge.
Pocketing both pokeballs, Lesa turned back to the Necro man and crossed her arms over her chest. "You were saying something about us never bothering you again?" she asked, arching a single brow, her tone the epitome of sarcasm. In front of her, the articuno flapped her wings and trilled again, the air around her turning colder as she began to launch another attack of the same kind she'd used on her egg at the offending man.

Though his skull helmet blocked his face for the most part, the man's eyes narrowed both in anger and fear. He gritted his teeth and moved to stand behind his Mandibuzz while stamping on the Kyurem. "Glaciate!" Inferno!Zap Cannon!"Arti!" Four attacks were called all at once, and each pokemon simultaneously charged their attacks. Reshiram's tail revved and glowed a violent red, and she let out a bell-like roar as fire gushed forth from her maw. Zekrom's tail whirred as he too, opened his mouth, a ball of blue and yellow electricity gathering in his throat, becoming larger and larger before he fired it. Articuno's eyes glowed a bright, icy blue and the air around her chilled until she opened her mouth, a beam of pure ice forming before lashing out like a whip towards the Kyurem, who encased itself in ice and attempted to push it out to strike the others. The four powerful attacks collided and an explosion ensued. The light created from the commotion blinded all who were nearby, and if not for their legendary pokemon, Celeste, Sawyer and Lesa would have been forced back from the attack. When the light died down, everyone carefully opened their eyes, seeing Kyurem collapsed on the ground. Celeste leaned forward on her Reshiram, squinting. "Where did he go?" She asked. Another explosion was heard behind her and everyone turned to see something come flying out of the gym. Cliff ran forward and gritted his teeth. "Rampardos! Get up! Stop him with Stone Edge!" He cried out. The weakened fossil pokemon strived to obey, firing an x-shaped blast of rocks towards the flying form. A dark pulse collided with the attack, breaking through and striking the pokemon, knocking Rampardos down for the count. Mandibuzz flew over and hovered high in the air, a large crate clutched in her talons while her trainer clutched her back. "I will not forget this! This fight means nothing, that Kyurem means nothing. I got what I wanted, so I`ll deal with you another time. But know this, I, Zorn, will not allow you to get in my way again. Team Necro's plans WILL come to fruition, and maybe if you are nice to me, I will do you a favor and return that which had been lost to you." He sneered while his Mandibuzz glared at the trainers. "Team Necro! Grab your legends and pull out! We're leaving!" She shouted, firing an air slash at the group before flying away. Celeste gritted her teeth and was about to cry out when Cliff beat her to it. "We can't let them get away! They have our fossil revival machine!" He shouted helplessly. "Stop them!" Lesa cried out as Articuno and the other legends turned around, preparing to fire more attacks at the retreating Mandibuzz. A spacial rend collided with them and the dead palkia roared painfully at them as they fled. Celeste gritted her teeth as she watched the zombie legends flee with their masters, and she heard Reshiram and Zekrom whimper. Mother...... Reshiram's voice said mournfully in Celeste's head. The coordinator frowned and pet the fluffy dragon, still slightly wet from the egg. "We'll help her, it`ll be okay." She assured the pokemon. Reshiram turned its head to Celeste and offered a smile as she watched her with her blue eye. Yes, it will. You are mother now. I am yours. She said while Zekrom turned to Sawyer and tilted his head. Is this the part where you name us? Can I get a cool name like Hotshot or Terminator? He asked her, his mouth parting in a lopsided grin at his trainer while Articuno turned to Lesa, warbling curiously. Abby finally pulled herself together and watched as the lumbering giant turned and started to walk away. Unfortunately, as it turned around, a piece roofing fell on top of the unconcious/already dead Necro member, essentially leaving behind a nice red paste. Abby immediately looked away from it and sighed, checking to see that her Pokemon were all right. True to her plan, each one did their job precisely, only giving a few minor scrapes and bruises as a result of their efforts.
"Better some scrapes than some lives..." She muttered, watching the gargantuan Pokemon "flee" the scene, albeit with some destruction in its wake. She sighed, wondering now about two things... where Cassie was and what the HELL had happened here! She liked unusual things but this... This was a bit over the top!
Abby nodded at her gang of Pokemon, motioning over towards the Pokemon Center where she knew a portion of the town would be at. Luckily, as soon as they started to get going, a cry of triumph rose from Ivy and Missy as they finally caught up with them, making Abby sigh in relief. They may be a pain, both of them, but they reminded Abby of sisters sometimes...

All of a sudden the legendary Pokemon seemed to leave. Cassie pulled Arid close to her chest and patted his head fondly as she watched the legends pull out with their skull wearing controllers. when they disappeared in the distance Cassie sighed in relief and pulled off her glasses.
Long cracks went through the middle of each lens making it difficult to see. After releasing another sigh, this time one of frustration, she folded them and tucked them into her bag. Luckily her eye sight wasn't so bad that she had to have them. They were mostly part of her mask to help keep people at a distance. With out them she now felt exposed.
She started to giggle. Death had come so close and she had faced it head on and only came out with a pair of broken glasses. And she was worried about her appearance?! What a dumb thing to be worried about! She needed to get her head on straight!
Now what are things she should be really worried about? Abby and Mirage for one. Had they found each other? Were either one of them injured? And Papa... she had sent a letter to him in the last town of when she would arrive here. If there was news coverage he would know that she had been in the thick of it and be worried. She had to phone him as soon as possible! She took a deep breath and shouted at the top of her lungs "Mirage... Mirage... Mirage where are you!"
Many different sounds assaulted her ears, but not the sound of her darling Mew. Arid started to call out for his teammate as well. "Scorch, Oasis," she called out her other two Pokemon starting to panic slightly. "Help look for Mirage!" The Buizel and Charmander took in the scene with shocked expressions. "Boys! Find Mirage!"
The three Pokemon spread out to find Mirage Finally after over an hour of frantic searching a exhausted Pidgy landed on Cassie's head. the feathers melted away to change into Mirage's true form of a Mew. She gave a tired pitiful "Meeeew." Her other Pokemon crowed around the females, relieved to see that Mirage had returned safely.
"Oh baby girl..." Cassie cooed as she pulled her down into her arms. "Did you find Abby?" Mirage slightly shook her head. "That's okay darling girl, Maybe we'll find her at the Pokemon Center. Abby's not dumb enough to let herself get hurt."

"Hotshot? Terminator?" Both of Sawyer's brows arched as she looked up at the massive dragon, taken aback by his seriousness. Oh dear. He had one of those kinds of personalities. This would certainly make for an interesting journey, no? She could see him now, pestering everyone with corny jokes or egotistical comments - especially Celeste's Reshiram. Several minutes passed before she moved or spoke, but when she did, she did nothing but laugh. The Zekrom was confused and slightly annoyed by the reaction. What? Those not good enough? You know, I was going to say Supremacy Lord or Jetticus Ultimatum, but I wasn't sure if you could handle that or not. Puffing out his chest, the dragon narrowed his eyes as he looked over the damage the other legendaries had done, as if he were some aristocratic lord pondering on how he should get the cleanup started. He even lifted an claw and began tapping his chin with it, all of which only made Sawyer laugh harder. Probably not the best of things to be doing right after a Necro boss got away with the goods, but... it was better than moping. "I think you're more of a Beau, personally" she spoke, patting his leg while getting a better look around. The newly dubbed pokemon scoffed and flopped down on his behind, tail angrily swishing from side to side, which prooobably wasn't a good idea, since debris of all kinds suddenly began to scoot around and fly off once impacted by the electric generator and the ground rumbled when said dragon plopped down. That's so laaaaaame! She better not name that... that girl better than you named me! he pouted, crossing his arms. What girl? Sawyer looked around, gaze settling on the white beast under her friend. Oh. "Pfft, well. We'll have to see about that. If you hate it so much, why didn't you demand me to change it?" Before he could answer, the trainer looked off into the sky with a frown. "There's more important stuff to worry about right now anyway." Peeping around a pile of rubble, a Flaaffy looked around for any signs of danger, hastily fleeing over to Sawyer once the coast was clear. She cried enthusiastically and jumped up and down, pointing to a fallen wall of some sort that seemed to be sheltering a few people. Grinning, the girl stooped down and hugged the pokemon, earning an eye roll from Paisley as she tolerated it. "Good work! Are there any injuries? Anyone else that needs to be rescued or... something like that?" she asked, looking around. Sawyer had good intentions, but she was having trouble picking out the right words to use. There were a million things going through her head right now - Cliff's stolen machine, if they should track Zorn, if someone should go to the Abyss and try to stop him from reviving more legendaries... gah! What to do first? Suddenly, something jumped up into her arms, and a little paw smacked across her cheek. An aggrivated Axew was staring at her and shaking his head, yapping about something. She didn't quite understand. What did he want her to do? Beau looked at her with a tilted head. Do you always zone out like that? It's kinda freaking us out here. ..Oh. Shaking her head, Sawyer shuffled closer to Lesa and Celeste, looking them over for a second after nodding to Paisley - seemed she was going to go make sure everyone was accounted for. "Should we send someone after Zorn? It would be helpful to know where he's going, but... I don't know if we have any pokemon strong enough to keep up or fend off any attacks if they're spotted. And Cliff..." On second thought, she didn't even have any flying pokemon aside from Beau, but she wouldn't dream of sending him at this moment. He was just a baby... sort of! The dark beast was sniffing at Lesa's Articuno curiously and sticking his tongue out as she spoke. "You probably shouldn't be doing that" she warned. "Don't come crying to me if you end up with frostbite."[/blockquote]
