It was a pleasant day in Gustella. A young woman cautiously walked down a quiet path in the city, her Froslass floating gently beside her. Reaching a nice, shady spot, away fro prying eyes but not totally out of sight, the woman looked at her Froslass with a nod. The ghost pokemon proceeded to take the suitcase from the woman, opening it up to pull out a foldable table and a chair, setting them up as the woman shed her backpack, pulling out a patch with an "N" made of bones and pinning it to her arm. When her pokemon finished setting up the table and chair, the woman quickly moved to sit down and took out some forms, pens, a bottle of water, and two sandwiches. She cheerfully handed a sandwich to her froslass, who gratefully took it and began to unwrap it, taking small bites.
"Thanks Froslass. Let's hope we get a good number of prospects." Said the woman. The Froslass looked at her and nodded.
"Froslass, froslass." I`m sure we will, partner. She replied. The ghost pokemon continued to eat her lunch while her trainer looked diligently for any sign of trainers, or trouble.

Jin was walking around Gustella, having been separated from his female acquaintances. He needed some time to think..Having seen what bad shape that Latios was in made a twang at his heart. He pulled a small photo out of a pocket hidden in his jacket. The photo depicted a young looking Purrloin with a bright red bow around her neck.
It had been so long ago she had died in that fire...It was while he was at the Trainer School in Striaton. He would never forget the emptiness he felt when he realized he had no Purrloin to greet him once he returned home. A tear came to his eye as he walked past the woman with the Froslass. "Purrloin.."

The woman looked curiously at Jin as he looked at the picture, and she said up, clearing her throat.
"Hello there buddy. Whatcha got there?" She asked, eying her froslass. The pokemon nodded and put down her sandwich, floating over to Jin to look at his picture. Seeing the pokemon in the image, the froslass looked sympathetically at Jin and placed a hand on his shoulder, pulling him gently towards the table.
"Froslass." Come. She said sweetly.

Jin looked surprised. The Froslass floated over to him and noticed the picture of his old Purrloin. Something seemed..odd. He shrugged and walked over to the table, handing the picture to the woman. "Its..a picture..Of an old friend long since departed.."
The Master Ball on his belt gave a twitch, as if trying to discourage Jin from going any further. The breeder-in-training seemed very confused. Just what was going on with the poor Latios? "Why do you ask..?"

The woman took a look at the picture and smiled fondly at the cat-like pokemon dipicted. She then reached into her pocket and took out a photo of her own, showing it to Jin. The photo revealed a small girl with a Skitty on her head.
"I know that look all too well. This was my old friend a long time ago." She said, setting the picture down and reaching behind the table.
"She was my best friend, we did everything together, including going to school. One day, I was coming home from preschool, and while we walked someone's Rhydon got loose. It came charging toward us, and there wasn't an opening big enough for me to get through. Skitty refused to leave me to Rhydon, and stood up to it." She said, sighing. Froslass floated behind her and placed a hand on her shoulder. Grabbing the hand tightly, the woman gave a thankful smile. Turning back to Jin, she continued.
"My little friend had not been trained to battle, and got badly hurt. No matter how much it hurt though, she never gave up. She gave it her all to protect me. Unfortunately, her spirit wasn't enough, and the Rhydon crushed her underneath its heavy body. I tried to get it to move, but it just turned it's wrath on me. Before it could attack though, it's trainer finally appeared and recalled the Rhydon, and they ran with me to the pokemon center to help my skitty, but it was too late..." She said, turning her eyes downcast.

Jin listened to the woman's story. The poor thing! That Skitty was just adorable! He guessed he had a thing for feline Pokemon. He looked at the photo of his dear Purrloin and sighed. "I bet you would do anything to see her again..I know I would for Purrloin..She was..my only friend back then.."
He hated to admit it, but he was never really the best liked child at the Trainer's School. He came from a rich family, so everyone thought he would be stuck up. The other kids never even bothered to try and talk to him..Sometimes the only thing that kept him there was knowing that his Purrloin would always be there for him.."As I said, Purrloin was my only friend..I got her for Christmas a few months before I left for Trainer's School. My parents said she would be my very first Pokemon for when I started my journey after school..But alas..There was a fire at our old house and..the poor dear inhaled too much smoke. She..didn't make it.."

The woman and Froslass listened to Jin's story with a sympathetic ear, reaching out to him as he finished. The woman then pulled out a pokeball from her belt and held it up to his face.
"I would, and I did." She said, the pokeball opening up. The light formed on the table, and standing between Jin and it's trainer, a scruffy-looking Skitty emerged. It's tail was crooked, it's fur was slightly darker, and in some places missing, and it had an almost squished appearance. Setting the picture beside it, it was obvious that the pokemon on the table and the picture were one in the same! The skitty gave a lurch and coughed slightly, but then it meowed at Jin with a smile, it's trainer reaching to pick up the pokemon and cuddle it to her chest. The woman reached out a hand to Jin with a smile. As this occured, Froslass moved her hands together and closed her eyes, breathing out an ice beam into the space between her hands.
"And you can too, if you join us. You may have heard a lot of nasty things about us, but Team Necro is an organization that loves pokemon. If you join us, we will do our hardest to bring back your dear Purrloin." She said as Froslass held out a small Purrloin statue made of ice to Jin in one hand and a form with the other.
"Froslass lass." A signature is all you need. She said sweetly.
"Join us, and you can have your best friend back. Just one little signature, and you can have the whole world at your fingertips with Purrloin at your side." She said, holding a pen out.

Jin gasped and dropped the photo on the table. No way..How..What? His jaw was agape as he regarded the Purrloin incased in an icy prison. It..It was tempting..Oh so very tempting..But..
His heart gave a lurch. This was very wrong. Oh so very very wrong! He would betray the Champion of Varaia if he went through with this. But..It was her..His dear Purrloin..the companion that never got to be..His hands trembled as he regarded the Pokemon. He grabbed the pen..and jotted down his name on the line. He..He had a chance to be with his Purrloin! He wasn't about to not take it.

The woman smiled wickedly as she pointed to each place Jin had to sign, taking the form once he was through and stuffing it in a folder in her backpack. She then took out a map and set it on the table, opening it up and pointing to a place with a bony "N" on it.
"Here you are, this is where HeadQuarter's is. Just go in and show them this map and they`ll let you in. I`ll get your form in later today. You`ll have to go through the academy and the harsh training to be a full-fledged member, but while you are doing that I assure you there will be a scouting team out looking for the body of your purrloin. When they find her, they`ll bring her back to HeadQuarters and revive and clean her up for you, and she`ll be ready to see you when you graduate in a few days." She said, rolling up the map and handing it to Jin.

Cold eyes watched from the shadows as the boy finished signing his life away to the black group. A smile formed as he remembered that moment in his own life, though it had been well before. Now that the Team was openly recruiting, even if it was on the fringes of town, he could gather what was rightfully his. Finally.
He waited until the boy had received his instructions to peel himself away from the dark side of the building situated across the street from the recruitment stand. It was probably a bit odd, a boy with such bright red hair just appearing out of the shadows, a purring shinx on his shoulder, but he was good at what he did. Able to cross the street and the small patch of grass that separated him from the recruiter without causing too much attention to be drawn to him.
Lani cut his eyes to the newest recruit, wondering what it was that they'd promised him. Did he know what he was getting himself into? Or was it just the promise of an old friend that had chained him? Either way, he couldn't back out now. They'd shown him where the 'base' was. He wondered if it was the same one they'd taken him to, or if they had set up another decoy. They never revealed the real headquarters until they were sure of one's loyalty to the Team, to make sure no one was trying to infiltrate the group. Pesky law enforcement.
The boy let out a sigh as he laid down two reduced pokeballs on the table, turning his gaze to the woman there. "I believe you have something for me?"

The woman glanced at Lani and smirked, reaching into her bag.
"Yep, they are right here. You are very lucky you know, they normally don't give Recruiters more risk than they need. Guess the boss is fond of you." She said, pulling out two more pokeballs and holding them out to him while the Froslass took the other two, storing them back in the bag.
"Froslass." Secure. She said. the woman nodded and pet her faithful companion before looking at Lani.
"And, as promised, they will go right to our storage facility, they will not be touched by anyone but you and the Grotto Keepers." She said, taking a bite out of her sandwich.

Anthony walked around the city with Rook on his shoulder. He had gotten lost from his traveling partner and decided to take a look around town while he looked for her. "I told you we should have taken that turn back there." Rook said from his shoulder perch.
"Well maybe if someone didn't yell into my ear to go that way every time we came to a corner we wouldn't be lost." Anthony said in reply. At the end of the ally off to the side he saw a women and a Froslass sitting at a table with some weird patch that looked to be made of bone on her shoulder. “Hey miss where can I get a cool patch like the one on your sleeve?” Anthony mused he didn’t know why but that patch seemed really cool to him.

Lani gave a short nod of approval as he collected the two pokeballs from the woman, though he couldn't help but smirk at her a bit. "Those who risk more receive greater rewards," he said simply, looking over the 'balls for the small identifiers that he put onto all of his belongings. Satisfied, he tucked them away into his belt, then lightly flicked the shinx on his nose. "Stop that you annoying little thing. My ear is not a chew toy."
Abeon simply purred and nuzzled closer to his beloved trainer, though he hissed softly as another person came into sight.
"Besides," Lani continued, ignoring his companion. "You have more risk from the crinkly little cat than from what you carried. Mine, at least, doesn't reek of death."

The Skitty growled at Lani angrily while her trainer placed a hand on her head to calm her. The woman smirked at Lani's remark while Froslass held up a form to Anthony, giggling like mad at his question.
"Yes well, she has to come out of her pokeball SOMETIME. I mean, do your pokemon see ANYTHING other than the inside of their pokeballs? Try doing my job bub, I`m sure you`ll find a ton of riches while you try to coax a bunch of snot-nosed brats into the academy, present company excluded, dear." She said, turning her attention to Anthony. She held out a pen to him and set down a form.
"We're a cool group to be with doll, join us and you can wear this symbol all you want. Just sign here, here and here and you're done. Are you still here, Lani? Don't you have anything better to do than hang around little ol' me?" She said with a sneer.

"All I have to do is sign here right?" Anthony said reading over the paper before signing his name on the line. Rook looked down at the paper as Anthony signed his name. "That is your entire signature, why not make it fancier with squiggles and other things that make it seem fancy?" Rook said pestering his trainer about his signature, not really caring about what the contract says. After the duo finnished talking, Anthony handed the women the paper with his signature.
