Aziza walked silently towards the lab, staring at her feet as she walked. She was both excited and confused, today she would get her very own pokemon and set off on a journey of her very own but one very important question came to mind, which pokemon would she pick.
'Each pokemon has it's own special qualities, it'd be impossible to choose simply based on type or strength. I probably should have thought this through a little more. To think that my future lies right behind the doors of this lab....It's amazing! ' She thought to herself as she finally came to a stop in front of the lab door. She stared at it wide eyed before finally knocking on the door.

The door opened wide and a woman with long black hair greeted Aziza with a warm smile. "Welcome! I`m Professor Conifer, I`ve been expecting you. Follow me please." She said, leading the girl through the lab, the walls lined with many cabinets and computers and charts. They walked towards the back of the room, entering a door. In the middle of this room, a podium stood with 9 pokeballs adorning it, 6 surrounded 3 of them in a circle. Behind the podium, a large blue pokemon stared tiredly at the girls, with professor Conifer giving it a cheerful smile. "See ya later Ranny, thanks for helping me today." Chirped the pokemon professor. The pokemon named Ranny nodded once and stood up, coughing slightly before leaping over the podium, sailing towards the girls and landing behind them, running gracefully out of the lab and outside. "Cuuuune!" It cried as it got farther away. Without skipping a beat Professor Conifer turned to Aziza with a smile. "Alrighty then, so here is how it works. There are nine pokeballs here, but as a trainer you only get to choose one of them." She said, floating over to the podium and opening 6 of them. "You can choose any of these six here OR one of the three Mystery Pokemon. See, my supplier is a good friend of mine, and she thinks it's hilarious to stick random pokemon in the pokeballs. The Mystery Pokemon can be ANY pokemon, but be careful, because once you see the pokemon, it is yours forever. Choose carefully." She said, stepping back to let the girl make her choice.        |

Aziza smiled and looked at each of the pokemon, the mystery ball seemed quite tempting but then again that zorua looked like a perfect choice for a partner. She thought about it for a while, there was nothing better than a good mystery, but it literally could be anything in that pokeball. Did she really want to take a chance like this? She shrugged and finally gave in to the temptation, grabbing one of the mystery balls and giving it a good toss. She hoped with all of her might that she would get a partner that she liked as much if not more than the Zorua.

The pokeball opened up and a white light burst out of it, the pokemon inside slowly forming. The small blue pokemon sat down, as if it were sleeping, and slowly opened it's eyes, raising it's silvery ridged head, to stare at Aziza. "Wha?" It squeaked, standing up and waddling over to her. The bagon hugged her leg briefly before letting go and standing loyally next to her, not wanting to alienate his new trainer. "I`ll do my best for you mistress." Was all he said, looking around the lab for any signs of danger. Aziza's eyes went wide, she hadn't thought the Bagon would be able to talk at first but it had certainly proven her wrong just a moment ago. She smiled down at her new found partner, reaching down to pat his head.
"I think you'll be the perfect partner. I'll call you Epsilon if that's alright with you."She said finally speaking.
She personally could not be more pleased with the partner she received, she didn't regret her choice to take the mystery ball in the slightest. She loved her new pokemon and she was certain that they would make an excellent team.

Aziza nodded "Thank you."She said before grabbing the green pokedex and one of the bags. She headed out the door with Epsilon following right behind her.

Just before Aziza left Kalonice entered the room. She had knocked earlier but no one had answered so she thought she will come on in and look around until she came upon the lab. She was able to catch everything that Professor Conifer said to the other girl. She looked at the choices curiously, though she remain quiet while the other two talked, and looked at the choices before her. She saw some great choices to pick from but the mystery balls that remain caught her interest so she thought she will go with one of the. But first, she had to make sure the professor knew she was there so she spoke just after Aziza left, "Hello Professor. I'm sorry to had suddenly barging in like this but I knocked and I guess you were busy since you didn't come to the door so I came on in and came here. My name is Kalonice Veronica." Her voice was polite as she spoke to the professor hoping that she will be forgiven for barging in suddenly.

Professor Conifer smiled warmly at the newcomer and gestured towards the remaining pokemon and mystery balls.
"Don't you worry about it dear. Just come on in and make your choice, trainers only get one, and the mystery pokeballs are permanent. Choose wisely." She said cheerfully, delighted by her busy day.

Kalonice smiled softly, glad that the professor wasn't upset with her. She glanced at the remaining Pokemon and the remaining mystery balls. Again she looked at Zorua and then at the mystery balls but after some thought she decided she will go with the remaining mystery balls. She grabbed one and looked at it for a moment before she toss it up in the air to let the Pokemon out.

The pokeball burst open, unleashing a beam of white light in front of Kalonice. The light took shape and soon faded, leaving a pokemon that was fairly large. It's flowing mane and tail seemed to blow in the nonexistent wind as it slowly opened it's eyes, staring into the eyes of it's new trainer. It slowly walked closer towards Kalonice and stretched it's face out to her, bumping her collar bone. "Ta?" It asked curiously, as if asking her if she liked it.  Pokemon Name: Ponyta Gender: Female Pokemon Personality: Calm, Loyal, Hardworking Pokemon Ability: Flash Fire Pokemon Health: 27 Pokemon Level: 5 Move Roster: Growl, Tackle, Tail Whip, Heat Wave |

Kalonice gave a soft gasp when she saw the Pokemon before her and couldn't help but have the memories of her mother surface as she looked at the Ponyta before her. All the good memories of her parents caused her to smile and the smile only grew when the Ponyta moved closer to her and bumped her face against her collar bone. This caused Kalonice to wrap her arms around the Ponyta's neck gently to hug her and to show that she really liked her. "I'm going to call you Calista," Kalonice said before she moved back enough to look into the Ponyta's eyes to see if she likes her name she had given her while she gently petted her muzzle.

Professor Conifer smiled at the new pair and nodded approvingly, clearing her throat.
"I hate to interrupt such a beautiful moment, but I think you should get ready for your journey. You can find your equipment over there," She said, pointing to the bags and pokedexes. "Take a pokedex, a bag, and one of the boxes filled with beginners equipment, and you can go on your way with your new friend." She chirped with another smile.

Kalonice looked up at the professor and smiled before she gave Calista a pat on her neck before she went to the place Professor Conifer was talking about and pick up a purple pokedex, a bag, and the starter kit. "Thank you Professor Conifer. I'll be on my way now," she said politely and soon, with a final wave, she and Calista left the lab to begin their journey together.

Jin was strolling casually up the hill to Professor Conifer's lab. He'd been told by the man on the ship where to go as he departed. He may not get another Pokemon like his old Purrloin, but he would love any Pokemon given to him.
He walked inside to see two trainers already getting to know their new Pokemon. The smiles on their faces were encouraging to see. He looked around at all the Pokemon and wondered which one he'd end up choosing..there was an unopened Pokeball as well as some standard starter Pokemon. "Hello....I came to receive my Pokemon..I'm going to be a Breeder."
Upon waiting a little while, he finally decided who he was going to choose. He picked up the Charmander and smiled brightly, nuzzling the lizard pokemon. "I will take this Charmander, and the remaining Mystery Ball." He grabbed the last Mystery ball and tossed it gently upward, waiting excitedly to see his new companion.
