Humidity is NOT good for the hair!

There was humidity. A lot of it. So much, in fact, that it was a downpour, a really heavy rain. "Remind me again why we came here in this storm," she asked Aldo, one of her new traveling buddies. It didn't seem like the sort of thing she'd do on her own and she'd somehow let him convince her to come out here in this rain. Once this was over, her hair was going to look like Tynamo used Spark on her. At least it was sleek and manageable now because it was so wet.

Tynamo seemed to love the water. Being a fish type .... thing, it looked quite comfortable. And lazy. As Skye was beginning to notice was its nature. She sighed at the Pokemon, unsure of what to do with it. It was proving to be quite difficult and a bit of a headache. But she wouldn't give up. It was pretty strong when it set its mind to it. The problem was getting it to set its mind to it.

She was thoroughly lost. Not that she hadn't been before but all this rain was unpleasant. At a loss of where to go she took out her broken compass and spun it, letting it decide. She headed in the direction it pointed with her three foot staff swinging on the ground in front of her to warn her of any holes or rocks. All this rain made it hard to see.

Was that voices she heard? Natalie listened harder. Yes it was. Maybe they would know where to find shelter. She went over to them.

Aldo sighed as Skye asked him why they had come to the storm. "This storm is contained to this route, Rumblebuns. There must be something going on here," he told her calmly as Riolu followed along beside him, determined to defend Aldo from any Pokemon who would come after them.

Instantly, Skye saw red when Aldo used the "forbidden name."

"I told you never to call me that!" she yelled, hot headed now. "If we didn't need to conserve our Pokemon for battling through this storm, I'd challenge you right here and now and teach you a thing or two!" she said, knowing it was a lie. She was still uncertain about that Riolu. It was small, but it looked like one tough little cookie. And steel didn't conduct electricity well.

She forgot her anger when a new person walked up to them. She stared at the girl warily.

Natalie raised a hand to shield her eyes so at least she could see a few inches in front of her. These two looked familiar but she couldn't be sure.

They seemed pretty water logged so if she had met them before they hadn't looked like this. "Hey do you know where I can get out of this rain?" She called out getting straight to the point.

It was cold and all her things were getting drenched. Oh how she hoped she hadn't caught a cold. Being sick was the worst thing that could happen to her being as she could only depend her and herself. Being sick was equivalent to being crippled to her. "The rain seems to be getting worse."

"Yeah, yeah," Aldo said with a wave of his hand, clearly uninterested and watched as the new girl approached them. It was hard to tell with the rain, but she looked like..."Natalie? That you?" he asked.

Skye squinted through the rain when Aldo recognized the girl as Natalie. It was Natalie. She relaxed a little.

"I was just wondering the same thing," Skye commented. "But Captain Impatient here didn't want to wait for the rain to subside," she said irritably, nodding her head towards Aldo.

"Yes?" How did he know her name? His voice seemed kind familiar. Oh right leaving that one town... what was it's name again, eh who care, she had run into two trainers. Maybe this was them.

Now what were their name's One was really pretty. Something to do with blue. Blue. River. Stream. Skye. that was it Skye. and the other was kinda strange. Oh what was it. It started with an Al. Allen? Alazon? Aldo? Aldo that was it! "Hi again."

Sitting in a small circle off to the side of the route were three pokemon. The rain had been fun and all, but at this point, they were rather bored of it. Water was still water after a while, and unless something awesome happened with the weather, they were going to find something else to do. It seemed they had just decided on a little game of sorts - tag the trainer! It was no fun playing that amongst themselves, and why not use a resource that had appeared out of nowhere?

So, in a flurry of blue, one pokemon gently bumped into a trainer of their choice, giggling and waggling about as they prepared to fight.

As he was about to explain himself to Skye again, Aldo was bumped from behind. Turning to see what had bumped into him, he saw a Mudkip happily jumping about like it was playing a game, noticing two other water Pokemon acting similarly nearby. "THEY are why we're out here Rumblebuns," Aldo said as Riolu stepped towards the Mudkip readily. "Riolu! Sky Uppercut!" he called as Riolu's fist glowed a bright white before he swiped at Mudkip with an uppercut.

Shoot Trapinch can't battle in this. I'm going to be in trouble if Sewaddle faints. Natalie clenched her teeth. Sewaddle needed to be able to to last .

"Sewaddle Silver wind." Natalie called as she tossed to ball high in the air. Sewaddle fired off the attach and it landed on the totadile.

Mudkip shook off the attack and fire one of his own. forming a ball of ice he launced it at his opponent.

In the middle of their reunion, the trio was attacked by Pokemon. Skye watched as Aldo paired up with Mudkip and Natalie paired with Totodile. That left Squirtle for her. That was just fine with Skye. She quite liked Squirtle and hoped she could make her first capture, though she was nervous because this was her first capture and while it wasn't her first battle, it was her first battle with Tynamo.

"Ok Tynamo, start things off with Spark!" she said. Tynamo stared for a moment, blankly of course, before finally executing the attack. Lord, this Pokemon was exasperating!

Totodile skipped happily out of the way of Sewaddle's attack. It laughed at the trainer for a moment before running away.

The Totadile Ran off into the distance Rain covering his tracks quickle.

"Sewaddle Return." Natalie called and the Pokemon disappeared in a beam of red light. She looked at the two trainers who were still battling. Did she have to stay with them?

Ah well might as well stay she might learn something interesting.

Riolu was blown back by the Ice Ball, but dug his paws into the muddy ground to slow himself down until he'd stopped. "Riolu! Another Uppercut!" Aldo instructed as Riolu leaped at Mudkip again. Seeing that the pokemon was weakened more by the attack, Aldo took the chance to throw a pokeball at it.

Squirtle took a moment to recover from the shock, but he was back on his feet quickly, and rammed himself into Tynamo for a Tackle.

The Mudkip tried to move away from the Pokeball, but he slipped in a puddle! Oh shoot, why did his legs have to get all tied up now? The ball bounced against the fin on his head, drawing him in. It was a few moments before the ball pinged success.
