As the three people approached, Archeops looked behind him and gave a snort.
"Alright. Come in. The rules: Stay together, keep me in your sight, have a way out. There are shovels and picks here. Use them. Your pokemon are to stay within reach. You get hurt, you get out. When I say we are done, we are done and you leave. Got it? Let's go." He said as he perched on Tsayel's back.
"You keep an eye on everyone, so less digs for you." He finished, prompting Tsayel and the group to move forward.
(OOC: Name your Characters and the pokemon accompanying them in the post, then feel free to dig. Take Turns. Expedition leader gets to pick the dig order.)

Tsayal wasn't entirely sure he was comfortable with Archeops perched on his shoulders, but he didn't particularly have much of a choice. He glanced back briefly to wave to his sister to indicate she needed to go back, and then he stepped forward after the others. With a glance around, the young man picked up a shovel as they passed them, then walked until Archeops indicated that they should stop. He'd chosen for his sandshrew to come on this with him (which had made Amadeus not at ALL happy, thank you very much) and the little creature confidently striking out ahead, sniffing around and scratching at the earth here and there with the odd sounds that sandshrew make.
He called Schmitt back to him, then looked at the other two boys who had come with him. "Remember the rules." He said with a nod that they should go ahead and start digging. Schmitt, however, decided he didn't want to wait to see if the others would do things correctly, and tugged at Tsayal's pants before bounding off just a little ways to dig.
Tsayal followed after a moment to help the shiny sandshrew do this.

Kurtis walked behind Tsayal, and nodded when the rules where told. He had brought Kano with him for this. Though he felt bad for leaveing Sarah and Will behind. But it was something new and Sarah had said it was ok. Kano looked around at the dirt and could not wait to dig. When Tsayal said remember the rules he nodded. " I will." Kano then nuged Kurtis's leg and his trainer followed, When they found a good spot they started to dig.

Yuki was eager to get his hands dirty! He and Bruce looked around a little bit after both Tsayal and Kurtis had started digging. He didn't know where to begin!
After a few tense moments, Yuki picked up a pickaxe and walked over to a promising looking rock wall. He hoisted the tool high and drove it into the solid rock. His hands kinda shook from the force of the recoil! Bruce hopped in and started clawing at the same spot Yuki was at.

Schmitt found the gem and peered at it curiously before he whirled aorund in an excited circle and grabbed at Tsayal's pantleg. "What? Oh! Lookit that." He said, looking both surprised and pleased with the find. He reached out, contemplating the gem, then carefully put it in his pocket for safe keeping.
"Alright... same spot or..." Tsayal didn't have to finish his question because Schmitt had attacked the spot again and was tossing dirt in every direction in an attempt to find something valuable for his friend. "I guess so." Tsayal said cheerfully as he leaned on his shovel to stay out of Schmitt's way.

Kurtis smiled and picked up the fire gem and put them away. Well they where off to a good start. Kano then walked away from that digging spot and started to sniff around for another good spot. After a few minutes and Kurtis did not let him get to far from the group, they both started to dig.

Yuki smiled at the sparkling red-orange gems. They radiated heat like fire, so they were most likely Fire Gems. Cool! This was fun! Bruce looked rather excited too. The red and yellow Pokemon ran over to another section of the dig site, and began clawing his way through the wall. Yuki took his pickaxe and swung a few times hoping to reveal something good. [RESULT: 8] Your dig yields a  Claw Fossil! |

Archeops looked over at Yuki from Tsayel's back and snorted approvingly.
"Got a fossil? That means you are done this time around, come over here by me and Tsayel until Kurtis is done." He said, nodding.

Kurtis smiled at the gems he had found. And wondered how he would be able to use them later. Kurtis and Kano looked around again and found a good looking spot and both started to dig again. [RESULT: 9] Your dig yields a  Helix Fossil! |
