Though Sylvia and the Gorebyss were still rather behind, Becker decided to be safer then sorry and sped up a little more, making sure to keep a good distance ahead.

The Gorebyss immediately sped up a little, it still wasn't used to it's tail, it was a little soar from getting stuck. Either way, it wouldn't let it's rider down. Sylvia rubbed it's side lightly. Move on forward, she thought. You can do it.

The Milotic began to slow down a little, it had gotten a little tired from the speed it was going out, however, the Milotic didn't stop completely, just was taking a quick rest.

The Gorebyss shot forward, forget everything, it was time to win this for her. Now then, something about a bad head start? Whatever. It was the end move that counted.

The Gorebyss was happy. It had shot into the finish line, unaware of any potential loss that might have come. Sylvia raised her arms and floated off. Leonard had been chased by a rogue remoraid apparently, because he swam by her.

Pulling past the finish line and gesturing to Sylvia for her to follow back towards the underwater dome, Becker hopped off of Milotic. "Wow, great job, honey. It's not too often that someone manages to beat me. you deserve this. she said cheerfully, grabbing an egg and handing it to Sylvia.
