Here we go..

[Del Fuege]

The sun was beginning to fade into the horizon as Del approached the town. In his opinion, it was appropriately named. This certainly wasn't the environment he was used to. Torrentia was a bit more, humid. He was sporting a red V-neck with vertical, purple stripes and his favorite pair of white denim jeans. Of course, his white headphones hung around his neck as they always did.

Del looked at the building that stood before him. <Well here we go. It all starts here..> He brushed his hand through his hair and dusted his clothes off. Had to look presentable for the professor right?

Slowly he raised he hand to the door, with a bit of hesitation he knocked to signal that he was waiting for her outside.

<Wow, I'm finally here. All by myself too.> His mind began racing. There were so many different things that he would be able to do after receiving his Pokemon. Del could finally enter a contest and show off his passions. It was exciting to think about.

He had been waiting for this moment for a very long time. He wondered if his father even realized that he was gone, but that thought was quickly pushed out of his head. That was all behind him now. It was time to start anew. He was ready to make his dreams come true.

[Professor Conifer]

"Just a moment!" Professor Conifer called as she made her way to the front of the lab and opened the door to welcome Del. "Hello there. I'm Professor Conifer. Please come in," she said, opening it wider and escorting Del inside, leading him towards the starter Pokemon.

"Ah, here we are. Feel free to choose from these six Pokemon. We have the mystery balls over here. They can contain almost anything, but I must ask you to only take one please," she said, petting Ranny as the Suicune slept peacefully beside the pen of Pokemon running about. "Trainers and racers get one Pokemon, while coordinators and breeders get two."

[Del Fuege]

His wide blue eyes brightened up as he saw the Pokemon before him. Was he really able to choose any of these? With a slight hesitation, he ambled over to the pen that contained the pokemon. Eyes wide with excitement, he smiled as he looked at each one individually. Only a single glance went through the mystery balls, he was never one for surprises. Instead, he much preferred to plan ahead.

Del started imagining the pokemon in pairs and tried to decipher what his mind believed would be the best combination. Though he almost felt obligated to choose the Piplup, he had to look it over, this was a chance for something new. For now at least, Del was staying away from the water element.

Slowly, his attention shifted to the Bulbasaur. That was a beautiful creature right there. And that's the Pokemon he wanted. For a moment he pondered on who would be the best partner for Bulbasaur. But he already had one in mind.

With an eager smile, Del turned to the professor and pointed towards the Bulbasaur and the Chimchar.
<These two. They're perfect!>

[Professor Conifer]

Nodding as Del pointed to the Pokemon, Professor Conifer pulled the two Pokemon out of the pen and placed them on the ground. As she did, the Bulbasaur reared back, glaring at Del curiously. Chimchar on the other hand immediately ran forward and began looking around the lab energetically before deciding on sitting on Del's shoulder.

A chuckle slipped from his unopened mouth as the Pokemon ran up to his shoulder. She was adorable. He scratched under her chin and smiled. "Mira." He quietly dubbed.

Then, his gaze turned to the Bulbasaur. <I knew it. Perfect.> Just like his new master, the Bulbasaur would not be one to give away his trust easily. Del simply nodded at the Bulbasaur with only a slight grin. "And you, you're name will be Ero." There was something about the green Pokemon that he liked. Though he didn't know if it was the similarity to him, or that it was just so different from what he was used to.

With a smile he looked back at Professor Conifer. He quietly spoke the words "Thank you," to her as he scratched under Mira's chin again.

[Professor Conifer]

"Glad to see that you're getting along with your new Pokemon," Professor Conifer said cheerfully as Ranny yawned herself awake. "Anyway, before you go, we have some things to give you. Be sure to take a bag and a Pokedex on your way out," she continued, gesturing to the supplies beside her.
