"Whoa! Hey hey now, don't hit too hard" the ninja boy called, blinking several times as his Chimchar was knocked back from the attack. "If they're playing that way, we will too! Use Scratch, and make it a good one!" Chimchar cheeped and nodded, scratching his feet against the ground before charging at Cenric, hands slashing at the opponent.

Cenric winced at the sharp pain of the monkey's claws as it dug deeply into his skin. "Oh my!" Anima gasped in surprise, that Chimchar can sure hit hard. "Your Chimchar has quite a lot of power within, doesn't it." Anima smiled, such a lovely trained Pokemon. Thankfully as strong as this Pokemon is, it can't wipe Cenric out in just one hit. "Alright Cenric, let us attack back with your Night Slash attack!
[RESULT: 9]
Cenric grabbed his shell tightly and slashed deeply into the Chimchar, the strength in Cenric's Shell was powerful and brought his opponent down in that powerful hit.

Chimchar: 0/15 -fainted-

"Thank you. We've been working on that, haven't we Chimchar?" The boy said, grinning down proudly at his pokemon. The fire monkey jumped up and down in agreement, the flame on his butt sizzling with sudden fervor. However, as his trainer distracted him, it seemed Cedric was getting the upper hand and snuck up behind him, slashing his back and knocking him forwards, Chimchar's eyes swirls of defeat.
"Oh no! Chimchar, I'm sorry" the ninja cried, recalling his pokemon. "I see. So that's how it is. Fine - no more distractions! Come on out Bellsprout!" Without any hesitation, he adjusted his headband and released a small, viney plant of a pokemon, Bellsprouts roots wriggling as he danced back and forth.
Gender: Male
Level: 10
Ability: Chlorophyll

Anima watched as the ninja kid sent out a Bellsprout. "Oh my, a Bellsprout? Well this won't do, water types aren't very good against the lovely grass. Cenric, come back. I don't want you fighting at this bad match-up." Anima said calmly, she knew just who to send out for this fight.
Cenric hesitated at first, this would be the first time being called back from a match, after a second of hesitation Cenric decided to return to his master's side. "Kari, would you like to give battling a try?" Anima asked her small Eevee. Kari's eyes lit up and quickly jumped over excitedly to the battle field. "Alright girl, lets start this off with a tackle attack!"
[RESULT: 0]
Kari dashed over to the plant to deliver the tackle like commanded, however it seemed that Kari didn't notice how much strength it took to use an attack and did no damage. Cenric made fighting seem like it took no effort.

Indeed, Bellsprout didn't even have to do much to protect himself from the attack. In fact, he didn't do anything at all - the Eevee simply bounced off of him, and as she fell back, he saw an opening for an attack. Without waiting for any advice from his trainer, he swayed from side to side, slashing his vines out as he executed a Vine Whip on Kari.
"Oh, good job Bellsprout! Heh, always thinking ahead" the trainer called, chuckling a bit.
[RESULT: 0]
However, seemed that his speed and confidence would be his downfall, for before he could even have any vines reach Kari they got tangled together, nulling his attack. Kari: ?/? Bellsprout: 15/15 |

"Oh my, it seems neither of our Pokemon got in a hit, and even more it seems you Pokemon got a little tangled up in the process" Anima said slightly amused as she watched the Bellsprout untangle himself. Kari got back up from her fall and laughed at the tangled Pokemon in front of her.
Alright Kari, its not nice to laugh. You didn't give in the best hit ether now. Lets try this again now, shall we? Use tackle once more!" Anima called out to her Pokemon, which when to charge the Bellsprout again.
[RESULT: 5]
This time Kari made sure to use a little more force in her attack, this time doing a good amount of damage. "Good job girl." Anima called out proudly to her Pokemon.
Kari: 25/25
Bellsprout: 10/15

The ninja boy blinked a few times, astounded at how well this girl seemed to control her pokemon and encourage them. He scratched the back of his head awkwardly as he too watched Bellsprout untangle himself, feeling bad for his pokemon's frustration when he was knocked backwards from the Tackle.
"Let's not fall too early, Bellsprout! Vine Whip again!"

Kari shook the pain off slightly, the viney whip stung a little but she was fine. "You alright, Kari?" Anima asked, that was the first damage the fox had received, thankfully it didn't seem like the attack did too much damage to her. Kari barked happily at her trainer letting her know that she was fine and ready for her next command. "Good girl. alright, let's give them another tackle!"

Darn. Looked like neither of them were getting that great of a start aside from the Eevee's second tackle, and the boy pushed up the sleeves on his shirt as he and Bellsprout prepared to attack their opponents again.
"Vine Whip one more time!" He called. Well, weren't they the creative sort?

Anima thought to herself about the current situation, it was obvious that neither team was doing the best like when they were fighting with their first Pokemon... Maybe it was time to try something new and see if it could help speed this battle up. "Alright Kari, lets try something a little new, use Tail Whip!"
[RESULT: 6]
Kari used her tail whip quite well, managing to lower her opponents defense a little

The other trainer had also noticed that this wasn't... going quite as planned. But he'd stick by his plan either way, and his current plan still revolved around full-out offense. "You're just getting warmed up, Bellsprout! Keep up the Vine Whip!" The pokemon had been feeling a little unsure of himself, but with more encouragement from the boy, he reached out and attacked again.

"Oh!" Anima gasped in surprise to the strong hit from the belsprout, this time the vine whip did much more damage. Kari was also surprised from the strong hit and was defiantly in a bit of pain from it as well, this game was not as fun anymore. Cenric glared at the belsprout as he watched the battle with his trainer. He wished he could give that plant a piece of his mind for hurting his team mate, but he knew that Anima would not send him out, this was a battle Kari had to face.
"Your Pokemon is sure getting a hang of his attacks now..." Anima said thinking, will the lowered defense be enough to take down the Belsprout before he takes down her Eevee? "Kari, try using your Tackle now that your enemy's defense is lowered."
[RESULT: 3] +1 from tail whip
Kari: 15/25
Bellsprout: 4/15

Bellsprout hadn't missed the Oshawott glaring at him, and in return, he made a silly face and stuck his tongue out at the other pokemon, wriggling what he could in a mocking gesture. His trainer sighed and tapped his foot. "C'mon Bellsprout. Be nice. And uh, yeah, sometimes it takes us a second or two to get into the groove" he replied, rubbing the back of his head. Odd, usually he never had side conversations with trainers before...
At any rate, side conversation or not, there was still a battle to wrap up. "No sense in fixing something that isn't broken. Wine Whip again!"

Cenric watched as the bellsproute stuck its stuck its tongue out and make a silly face at him, was it mocking him? Cenric had to sum up all his self-control to hold back from charging in now and slashing that plant up with a Night Slash. Mean while Kari had taken another hit from the Bellsprout, however unlike the previous whip, this one was a much lighter hit. The Bellsprout must of been having to much fun making fun of Cenric to attack harder.
Anima watched as Cenric tried holding back from the taunt and picked him up. "Its ok Cenric, don't worry. Kari will teach him" Then turned her head towards Kari. "Kari, Tackle!" "Osh, Osha!" Cenric repeated Anima's commands while in her arms.
[RESULT: 4] +1 Tail whip
Kari charged in and tackled the finishing blow on the Bellsprout taking it down. Both Anima and Cenric's words were enough to help Kari finish the battle

Seeing his pokemon had finally fainted, the boy shook his head and recalled the Bellsprout, patting the pokeball before turning to face his sister. "it was a good battle, but I need to be going now. Good luck later on" he said, bowing like a good ninja should before walking off. Well... that was interesting. Ninja out! |
