Birds, Bees and a loss of direction

[Spirit Hope]

Spirit and Drinyo barley took five steps in route 801 before encountering a group of Pokemon that were not in their list of Pokemon they wanted to encounter, a big ol' flock of beedrill. They wandered slightly too close without realizing it, thrown completely off guard and knowing they're not strong enough to take on all the high leveled bugs they blindly fled. Thankfully no one was harmed by the large wasp-like Pokemon, however they did manage to get themselves off the path and a little lost.

"Well, we're screwed..." Drinyo said with a sigh "Lost an unknown area full of creatures that will no doubt tear us to shreds the moment we turn around, danger hiding in every corner waiting for their chance to strike, killing us slow, painful, sadistic, bloody death." Spirit couldn't tell if he was really being paranoid about them being lost or just trying to scare her, what ever the reason, it did slightly work. She looked around cautiously.

"Uh...We probably find our way back to the path, before what you're saying really does happen." Spirit said slightly worried, Drinyo nodded and the two began walking again, trying to find the path the had strayed far from.

Michael and Atl were at least 10 steps in from of Spirit and Drinyo when entering Route 801, and that was probably a mistake on Michael's part he did not know how much trouble Atl was gonna get into. As they walked onto the route Atl saw a nice apple tree and decided to jump off his partners shoulder and go pick a apple. The problem that Michael did not know was that the tree was a Beedrill nest and Atl was also standing on a Kakuna that was stuck to the tree. This was not a good mixture, as Spirit and Drinyo walked into the forest you could hear the buzzing of the swarm coming. As the swarm came into view Atl got scared and used Aqua Tail on them sending a few of the beedrill flying giving him enough time to get back to Michael.

As the swarm began to chase them Michael let Spirit and Drinyo go in front of him, if anyone was gonna get hurt it was him he did not need a girl getting hurt and more of a reason for Drinyo to complain. It seemed that Spirit was heading off the path and deeper into the woods, this was a good idea not to be in the open. As the got off the path it only took a few minutes before the beedrill gave up and probably went back to the apple tree.

This was about the time that Drinyo began to complain. "Well, we're screwed..." Drinyo said with a sigh "Lost an unknown area full of creatures that will no doubt tear us to shreds the moment we turn around, danger hiding in every corner waiting for their chance to strike, killing us slow, painful, sadistic, bloody death."

" Actually its a good thing we got off the path, gave us more cover so that the beedrill couldn't see us and they just gave up. Now i think we should just here and train our pokemon so if we run into something like that again we might stand a chance."

Michael then began to look around to see if there was any pokemon around that he could catch or battle for Atl to get some battle experience.

[Lucas Heart]

OCC: going to just act like the other guy left.

Finally, Lucas had finally made his way back towards the begining of the path when he saw a girl roaming around. His Clink named Bolt was hovering behind him his mareep stashed safely in its pokeball. "Excuse me, I am lost do you mind showing me the way to the next town?" Lucas asked almost skipping towards the new woman.

He hated being lost, twice now he had gotten lost hopefully this time he would make it all the way to Gustella and beat the snot out of the gym leader so he can get his first badge.

[Spirit Hope]

(OOC: Goodbye Micheal, too bad you decided to leave)

Spirit sighed quietly to herself, she and the guy who she originally was traveling with got separated while they were off the path. Spirit had finally had made it back to the path, however she was still a little lost. Beside her, Drinyo had grown tired of complaining of the danger they were in. It had taken too long to re-find the path, it was already dark outside and it was obvious that Spirit's Scraggy was getting tired after the long day they had, so much had happened and they haven't even made it to Gustella town yet. Spirit didn't have the heart to make her Pokemon continue walking, after a moment of hesitation. Spirit stopped, turned around and picked up the small Pokemon.

Drinyo was caught by surprised from the sudden contact and began to struggle in Spirit's arms "Hey! Put me down!" He cried in his surprise and annoyance. "Drinyo your tired, I can carry you so you can rest. You can trust me..." Spirit said quietly to her Pokemon. Drinyo struggled a little more before calming down."...Fine..." Drinyo huffed, he knew he could trust Spirit, she was his trainer after all.

Barely a few minutes pass when a young guy practically skipped over to her asking if she knew where the next town was. Spirit paused a second, she wasn't sure what to say, would he be mad if she said she didn't know? "No we don't, good bye." Drinyo said before Spirit could reply. "Oh Drinyo that's not nice..." Spirit said quietly before looking back at the other. "Sorry...We're looking for Gustella town as well, i-if you want you can come with us.

"...Oh great, ya join the party. I'm sure that there's not enough murderous threats lingering around, lets just let one in the group, that way we're sure to be killed..." Drinyo said sarcastically, while Spirit was shy, she was also friendly, oh why must she just let strange people into the group? his eyes met the Klink behind the boy. 'Oh great...He has back up. A stranger, at night with creepy Pokemon...Yep we're gonna die.'

[Lucas Heart]

Lucas took a slight step back when the little scraggly started spouting out that he was a crazy killer... "What is your deal little guy you think the entire world is out to get you. I mean come on your silly." Bolt started to fly around slightly getting closer to the girl and the little pokemon.

"by the way, my name is Lucas and this here is Bolt, he likes to fly around and get close to I apologize in advance. Well its night out so if you still plan on going to town we should probably go together it will put us at much more risk of dying." Lucas stated with a highly upbeat tone.

Bolt continued to fly towards the two new people. "Clink Clink Clink." It garbled out hovering in circles around the girl, it kept eyeing the scraggly like it was the most interesting thing it had seen.

[Spirit Hope]

Spirit could already tell that things were gonna get a little bad between Drinyo and the new guy, Lucas. "My deal is nothing" Drinyo exclaimed " However, how do we know you're not a threat? We do not know you nor your history. You might as well be thought of as a threat until you can be trusted and as of the moment, neither you nor your floating gear are in my trust book and-" Spirit covered Drinyo's mouth before he could continue. "Please be nice...Forgive me. Drinyo is a...Complicated guy...He doesn't trust people very well, it took me long enough just to gain his trust, and he still keeps his eye on me..." Spirit apologized, removing her hand from Drinyo, receiving a glare from her small Pokemon in response. Spirit paused for a second to try to figure out what she should say next.

"Um, anyway, my name is Spirit and as I mentioned earlier, this is Drinyo, my partner and we would love it if you and your Pokemon joined us." Spirit said with her usual quiet voice.

Drinyo took notice as Bolt continued to fly closer to him and Spirit, it voiced out some random gibberish that was hard to make out and kept it's eyes stuck to Drinyo like glue is if they were stuck on him and he didn't like it one bit. "You, I especially don't like right about." Drinyo decided, narrowing his eyes slightly before looking back at Lucas.

"Well it seems despite my despise of two random beings intruding on our group, you do seem to make a valid point, Both dangerous people and Pokemon roam around at night, going out alone is not a good idea in the slightest, however if you make any plans to attack us, Cora will be sure to end you and your Pokemon....Unless your Pokemon are stronger...Then..." Drinyo went quiet, he was beginning to doubt his teams chances of wining a battle, what if this humans Pokemon were stronger...

Spirit noticed Drinyo was growing cold with his doubt, she pet her Pokemon a little before looking back at Lucas. "We should get going I herd its dangerous to stay in one place for too long a period at night...But...Um...First could you let Drinyo know you're no threat to us?

[Lucas Heart]

Lucas couldn't help but bust up laughing collapsing holding his sides the little pokemon continued to rant and rave. Tears welled up in his eyes as his sides started to cramp. Finally taking deep breaths he got up and dusted himself off. "Drinyo we are not a threat, if anything you are the threat." he stated eyeing the little thing. Lucas pulled out a shiny coin and started to wave it back and forth.

Bolt was still circling the two when something flashy caught his eye. the pokemon basically stopped moving and turned to look at it before making a very happy noise and quickly flew towards the coin. The entire time it started to sing random toons. Not being able to get the shiny coin it instead just circled Lucas's head as fast as it could its eyes not leaving the coin once.

"There, that should keep him occupied." Lucas stated with another laugh. Turning he started down the path looking back just long enough to see if the other two would follow.

[Aldo512]

Underneath a nearby bush, two Pokemon were just getting ready to sleep. Just as they were about to rest their eyes, a shining glint from outside distracted them. Sticking their heads out, they were mesmerized by the coin in Lucas' hand. Turning to each other and nodding, they agreed between each other to go and get it together first, then they could decide who kept it. Leaping out from their hiding place, they ran (and flew) at Lucas to try and get their coin.

Drinyo was upset about Lucas laughing at him. after the kid's daily laughter ended, Lucas grabbed a shiny coin from his pocket and lifted it out, the light that shined of the coin caught Bolt's attention, Immediately calling it's attention. The gear was not the only one attracted to the shining light however... Before Drinyo could say anything in response to Lucas' taunting words and mocking laughter, two wild Pokemon charged out of the bushes, aiming towards Lucas. Drinyo took notice of the two wild Pokemon and jumped out of Spirit's arms to defend their group. Drinyo's right hand suddenly engulfed in flames, delivering a fire punch to the Buneary's face.

"And you say I'm the threat here."

[Lucas Heart]

Lucas had little time to jump out of the way, he though that the little pokemon was trying to catch him on fire, it was then he noticed the other two pokemon coming after him and his coin. "Bolt come on lets show this bird why it shouldn't fly near electricity.

Bolt whirled around in all kinds of different direction "Klin Klin Klink" As it sped up summoning lightning and using volt switch.

[RESULT: 1] +1

The attack did little damage to the bird as the little gears flashed back into the pokeball and a fluffy Mareep appeared in its place "Mareep" it roared arrogantly looking at the flying bird.

The Buneary flew backwards because of the flaming bunch and hissed slightly as it charged forward and used its Sky Uppercut.

[Spirit Hope]

Drinyo flew back from the powerful attack that was sent his way. "Be careful, Drinyo!" Spirit called in the background, she was worried about the attack that sent him backwards, this Buneary was rather strong. Drinyo stood back up and eyed his opponent.

"It seems this foe has a slight advantage..." Drinyo said quietly, less confident in the idea of wining, he may have done a good hit before, but who's to say he won't get a good shot before this rabbit does? Spirit noticed that Drinyo was loosing his confidence.

"Um...Uh..." What could she do? Would he even listen to her command? "D-Drinyo! why don't you try using your low kick. Your strong enough to take a few hits, don't let the idea that this Buneary knows a fighting type move, you know one as well!" Spirit called out trying to help out her friend.

Her words caught Drinyo's attention. Feeling a little reassured Drinyo charged forward and delivered a kick to the Buneary.

[RESULT: 0]

The Buneary saw as Drinyo was about to deliver his kick, raising her defense, she deflected his kick as if it was nothing.

The wild Pidgey brushed off the electric move as if it was next to nothing, looking up however, the bird noticed that the strange gears have become a fluffy sheep, the attack used must have switched the two Pokemon! The Pidgey squawked in surprise and annoyance from the change, but it made no matter to the bird. The small Pokemon backed up a little before charging into the electric bird delivering a tackle attack

[RESULT: 0]

Too bad the Pidgey's tackled failed to make very powerful contact upon the sheep's soft wool.

[Lucas Heart]

Lucas stamped his foot, "Dangit I forgot that move did that o well, come on Thunder lets show them your more then just a fluffy sheep. Use Iron Tail." It gave a very confident bleet and then charged forward its tail glowing birghtly.

[RESULT: 9]

The attack slammed into the bird causing massive damage to it. Thunder landed and did a kind of victory dance even though the bird was not yet fainted.

The buneary almost laughed at the scraggle that had tried to hit him and failed. It charged forward hand glowing to use a pound.

[Spirit Hope]

Drinyo frowned as the Buneary almost seemed to laugh at him, he could see the laughter in the bunny's eyes. The buneary charged again to deliver another attack, this time it was a pound attack. The attack didn't hurt nearly as much as her sky uppercut, however it still rather hurt. Deciding to try his attack again, Drinyo went to deliver another low kick to the Buneary.

[RESULT: 8] +1 = 9

This time, being at a closer range than his last attempt, Drinyo was able to make great contact, kicking the small rabbit in the gut, bringing her down with the powerful kick. "Heh..."Drinyo said with a smirk "Seems she's down for the count, for now..." Drinyo's eyes never left the rabbit, he felt as if she would spring back up any second.

The bird screeched as the iron tail bashed into him, causing serious pain to swarm throughout the bird's body. He shook his head trying to get his senses back together and then charged for another Tackle hoping that the Sheep would be caught off guard while his opponent was doing a victory dance.

[RESULT: 5]

The attack hit this time, dealing a good amount of damage to the sheep Pokemon. The bird smirked a little in pride that he was able to get at least one hit on the electric Pokemon in front of him. However he knew his chances were bad and he should not celebrate the hit yet, this battle was not over yet.

[Lucas Heart]

Lucas couldn't help but be happy for Spirit for beating the rabbit pokemon but he was in the middle of his own battle. "Alright thunder one more time." The sheep was now angry at the hit that it had received it knew it was better then the bird and it was not happy with it touching him. It's tail glowed again as he raced forward to hit the bird.

[RESULT: 6]

The attack slammed into the birds peak causing it to immediatly become fainted. With a huff the Mareep walked away head held high like it was nothing to beat the bird.

If anyone in that group thought things were done there, they were wrong. All that noise of battle just attracted two more wild Pokemon. Both were clearly agitated and ready to take it out on the duo before them. Before them were a Poochyena and an Abra ready to battle.
