Michael had taken a bus to dust town, the town that all beginning trainers had to go to, the bus was rather crowded but not with whom he had thought would on the bus. The bus was filled with large, sweaty people in very floral shirts and shorts. If it existed he would think they were from someplace probably called Hawaii (LOL).
As he stepped off the bus and on to the ground, which was not even sand it was more like dirt air so thick you could walk on it. He looked around the town looked rather plain except for the pokemon lab. It was the only building that looked like someone has actually cared about it, sure its windows were so covered in dirt that it would take a flood to clean them, Michael walked up to the lab and grabbed the door handle and turned to open the door, the door handle creaked so loudly it almost sounded like a banshees call.
“Hello is there anyone here, I’m here to start my journey.”

Spirit walked quietly through the new town known as Dust town, it was rather hard for her to just get here, she really wanted to turn back now, she knew she had gone too far to turn around. She looked around the small town that she arrived in, it's named suited the town well. Dust town was very small, even smaller than she expected, she thought that maybe would be larger for having an important building where all starting trainers, coordinators, racers and even breeders come for their new start in society.
Thankfully, being such a small area, it was not hard for Spirit to find the lab, as she walked towards it she noticed something that did not quite please her, someone who looked like they may be starting their journey had walked in the lab. Should she wait a while till he leaves or should she go in now? Spirit thought about her options, there wasn't nearly as many as she wanted, being such a small town there was not very many places to go and she wasn't really here to sight see anyway.
"Oh...I hope I don't have to talk too much." Spirit sighed slightly to herself before continuing forward to the Lab and opening the door cautiously.

As the pair entered, various lights flashed and beeps played, showing the vibrant activity of the computers in the lab. In the back, a large door was left open and a figure could be made out. The figure turned around and looked at Michael and Spirit, gesturing them to come into the room before turning back to it's work.
"Come in, come in! The pokemon are all in here." Said the figure in a feminine voice.

As Michael stood there he heard the door open up right behind him and another person came in, he could not see them very clearly due to there being very few lights on in the lab. As the person spoke he could tell it was a girl, she sounded kinda cute.
Michael was right about to turn around and say something to her when he heard a chair squeal as someone spun in it, He saw a women through a open door that he had not noticed till then. The lady beckoned them to go her and she said that they pokemon were in there.
Michael walked as slowly and as calmly as possible towards the door, he did not want to embarrass himself in front of a girl.
As he walked into the room he looked at the women and said Hello My name is Michael Drake and i have come here to get a pokemon and begin my journey.""

Spirit stiffened from hearing the professor speak up from another room, the room she was in currently with the other new trainer was not the brightest, the lights and machine beeps seemed to flicker from everywhere.
The guy who had walked in the lab before her walked slowly and calmly towards the doorway and over to the professor, he gave his name and explained coming for a Pokemon. 'I wonder how many people come saying that exact same question...' Spirit thought to herself.
Spirit cautiously walked towards the two people, unsure of herself. She almost chose stay where she was and wait for the guy to receive his Pokemon and leave before walking up for her Pokemon. In the end though, she wanted her Pokemon more than she wanted to wait.
"...Um, my name is Spirit Hope, I have also come for a Pokemon, please." Spirit said, her voice was slightly quiet, though still audible.

The figure mumbled to herself, hands flurrying across papers and keyboards and head slightly acknowledging the two coming closer by turning an inch or so in their direction. It was actually hard to tell whether she was talking to the two trainers or to her work, but it didn't matter, for a few seconds later the woman turned her head even slower, the light from the screens glaring off of her glasses and giving a rather creepy effect. ...Didn't help that her head was turning awfully slowly either... what kind of bad horror film was this?!
Instead of the vampiristic 'good evening~' they were probably expecting, Spirit and Michael were greeted warmly. "Welcome! Sorry about the lack of lights. Sometimes I get so engrossed with my work I forget to keep the rest of the lab lit" the figure said, shrugging nonchalantly and folding her hands. "Anyway, I am Professor Conifer. Heard you two were here to pick out some pokemon?" Not pausing in her spiel, she waltzed over to a smallish pen, flipping on another light to give the area she was facing a little more visibility. Under the fluorescent glow slept six pokemon, all of them starting to wake and rub their eyes to look up at Spirit and Michael.
"Racer or a Trainer? You get one choice this year! Breeder or Coordinator? You may choose two~" Conifer bent down and patted the Cyndaquil on the head as he came over and sniffed at her, moving away to press a button. From the ground popped up a long table, the center area raised to a pedestal-like height, three purple pokeballs placed on it. "There we have three Mystery Balls. Each contain a random pokemon, and if you so happen to choose one, you cannot go back on your choice. Limit one per person. We also have boxes of items here for you to take when you're done, as well as pokedexes. The box with the Victory Scarf is for Breeders only, so be careful which one you take."
Finished, she peered over her glasses at the two kids, wondering how they'd go about it all. One of her machines beeped and grabbed her attention, though, and she returned to it, leaving them alone with the pokemon.

When Michael into the room and introduced himself he could hear the Prof. talking to herself.
As the Professor turned it looked like she was going to leap on to them and suck out there blood, her glasses gave a great glare off them that gave her a creepy look. But when she spoke she actually seemed nice, she probably needed to be dealing with young children almost everyday probably.
As she walked over and turned on a light to a pen Michael could see pokemon starting to wake up and look around. The pokemon looked like they had potential and Michael would have said i want trapinch with out hesitation, but then the prof said that there was 3 mystery pokeballs and he loved a good mystery.
Michael stared at the mystery pokeballs and got a great feeling from the middle one, he felt that inside that pokeball his partner was waiting for him.
"Professor I would like the Middle Mystery Pokeball. Please and Thank You."

Spirit shook slightly in fear as the Professor mumbled to herself. She began acting strange, a little evil even, her head moved slowly and with the room's low lighting and her glasses giving off a creepy vibe about everything in the room Spirit was ready to back away, no wonder she's scared of people and this defiantly did not help her.
However right when the vampiress was about to speak the scenery changed completely and welcomed her two guests warmly and explained the low lighting. A Cyndaquil who Spirit had not noticed was near by showed itself and pressed a button on the floor, from the ground a table shot up which contained three strange pokeballs.
Spirit looked at the Pokemon, though there was still that one guy in the room, she was able to calm down now that there were Pokemon in the room. She bent down to some of the Pokemon and pet them, seeing their temperament. Most of them seemed like they would make fine Pokemon, they were so healthy too. However, Spirit did not feel as if these Pokemon were right for her, she looked at the mystery balls on the table, the other guy, Micheal grabbed one. Spirit wasn't surprised, she may not be the best with people, but anyone would know that people love mysteries and challenges, mystery balls are full of those.
"I'm sorry, little ones" Spirit said in a quiet whisper to the Pokemon she was petting before standing up and walking over to the table and grabbing one of the remaining mystery balls

The Professor was still idly clicking away and poking at the machines when the trainers spoke up. She hadn't been paying attention to them like she did most other trainers, but when they made their choices, she nodded and turned, walking briskly to the mystery balls.
"I'm sure these will be wonderful choices" she began, cracking her knuckles before pressing the middle button of both of the pokeballs. First, from the middle ball, a squat form began to take shape, the white light eventually dissipating before a small blue monkey was left behind. He flicked his tail and looked around curiously before cheeping and dancing back and forth. During his victory dance he accidentally knocked over the next pokemon to appear, a small yellow and tan pokemon with large eyes and... a sagging section of skin.
"Hey, what'd I ever do to you?" the Scraggy huffed, attempting to push up imaginary sleeves in a brutish attempt to fend the Panpour off. Panpour scurried over to Michael and easily scaled the boy, sitting primly on his new friend's shoulder with a tilted head. "Pan?"
"He may seem cheeky..." Scraggy began, sidling up to Spirit and wiping his jaw, "but I wouldn't trust him. Never know when someone might try to pull something." And then, as if he realized his own words, the pokemon blinked and took a step back, eying Spirit as if she should be considered a new enemy.
"Impressive pokemon, both of them" Conifer praised, side-stepping away from the last pokeball. "Don't forget your items when you head out." Michael held out the Pokeball towards the Prof to show her which one had chosen, it seemed that the other trainer has also chosen a mystery ball it was hard not to. As he waited for the Prof to acknowledge that they were still there he started to think that he would love to journey with this girl she seemed timid but he could tell that she had great potential to be a force to be reckoned with.
The Prof stood up and told them that these pokemon were gonna probably be great partners for the 2 trainers, She cracked her knuckles and pushed the center button. As the pokemon came out it was in a bright flash, as the flash dimmed Michael got his first look at his pokemon. It was a Panpour he recognized it from a pokemon book that he had read not long ago. It was called the Sea Monkey, a good name as it was a Water type and a monkey.
The Panpour began to jump around and dance, probably happy to be out of that pokeball, during its dance it knocked over the pokemon next to him, which was a scraggy. As the Scraggy stood back up it began to speak in Human language, this surprised Michael very much. As the Scraggy stood Michaels Panpour climbed up him and stood on his masters shoulder.
Michael walked off alittle and set Panpour down, it looked up with his head tilted and asked "Pan?" Michael looked down and smiled at it and said " Hi little guy I'm your partner now and i think i should give you a name... I know i will call u Rive."
The Panpour looked happy about the name and began to dance around again. The Prof said something about items and Michael walked over and grabbed a pack that was full on items and walked back to his pokemon.
"come on you can ride on my shoulder i can tell you don't like to be in the pokeball." Rive jumped on to Michaels shoulder clapping his hands. Once Rive was stable Michael slowly walked over to the other trainer.
"Hi I'm Michael Drake and i was wondering do u wanna travel together. I think it would be fun." He stood there waiting for a answer. If she said yes they would set off on there journey together.

Professor took the two mystery balls and released the Pokemon from their Pokeballs Out of the first one was a Panpour, this Pokemon seemed very lively as he jumped around and danced, cheeping excitedly at his freedom from the Pokeball. As the water monkey was dancing about he accidentally knocked over the second Pokemon, Spirit's Pokemon. This Pokemon was a small yellow and and cream-coloured Pokemon, it was a scraggy.
"Hey, what'd I ever do to you?" Spirit's Scraggy huffed before attempting to fend the Panpour off. Wait...Where those words? Spirit was amazed to see that her first Pokemon was also her first talking Pokemon, she's never seen one before though she had herd of their existence. "He may seem cheeky..." Spirit's new Pokemon began as he slid over to Spirit. "But I wouldn't trust him. Never known when someone might try to pull something." The Scraggy immediately realized what he said, he took a step back and eyed his new trainer. "Speaking of which, I should also say the same about you...Who are heck are you?"
Spirit could already tell what her Pokemon was like, he seemed to be quite paranoid about things but that didn't really matter to her at the moment, she was still completely caught off guard about the fact that he spoke. "Um..I'm Spirit, I'm your new trainer." She said, her words were slightly shaken with both happiness and surprise from her discovery. "I see, you claim to be my trainer, but what proof might you have?" Spirit didn't really know what to say. " My proof is that we're in a lab and I received you from the mystery ball?" Spirit asked more than answered, she wasn't really sure what to say. The Scraggy looked around the room, indeed they were in a lab and he did come out of a mystery ball, he glared at Spirit. "...True, very true... I will need a name then, there's no point in me being called my species. Unless you prefer being called human."
"Um, ok. How does Drinyo sound?" "...It'll work."
After Spirit and Drinyo went into a mutual agreement Spirit noticed that the other kid had walked over to her and asked if they could travel together, it sounded like a good idea. There are many known dangers in the region ranging from enraged Pokemon to dangerous people, however Drinyo spoke up first. "No, I don't trust you, I don't trust your Pokemon, and last thing we need is someone we don't know following us around where they can learn our secrets and use them against us in the worst ways possible. I have a hard enough time trusting the girl. Drinyo said listing his reasons.
"B-but Drinyo, it would be more dangerous alone, if we go on our own we're likely to get attacked by larger stronger Pokemon and get ambushed by people who really are untrustworthy and even evil." Spirit tried explaining, Drinyo just looked at her. She made a valid point, but did they really have to go with such an untrustworthy looking pair? "Touché..." He said, crossing his arms.
Spirit sighed, honestly, she didn't really like the idea of going with someone she didn't really know as much as her Pokemon did, but she knew she was right about what she said. With team Necro hanging around as well, its not the smartest to wander alone. "I, guess it's ok if you come with." She said cautiously before walking over to grab a white Pokedex and the last bag.
