A Fresh Start and no Worries.

[Virgil]

Virgil called out for his Pokemon to do a scratch attack on the Buizel, in a very excited way as he was still sort of riding the train of excitement that he had with that race, and that feelings hadn’t died down yet. But he was calm, collected, and reckless.

Rona responded to her trainer’s command with much excitement as him but for other reasons. She ran straight towards the Buizel and tried to scratch his face.

[RESULT: 1]

She was relatively successful at scratching the Buizel but not in the area where she wanted to. She had ended up hitting the Buizel's stomach with her claws and not doing too much damage to the opponent in question.

The Zigzagoon growled as he was hit by the embers. That fire bug would pay for humiliating it. He charged forward and tried to butt its head into the Larvesta. The pokemon missed the mark completely and not even by a few inches. He was way off. If he had a next time then he would show that trainer's Pokemon a thing or two.

[RESULT: Miss]

[Tane Flight]

Zea screeched in anger at the Spearow for landing a good hit on her, dealing a good bit of damaged to her, honestly, the Spearow's hit wasn't that bad, but she was fired up for a fight and like heck she was going to let some bird attempt to take her down and try to get in her way!

"Alright, Zea! Now use a Scratch attack!" Tane called to his Pokemon, giving his chosen command. Scratch? Scratch?! She is a proud and powerful bird, why was he going to make her attack with THAT move when one of her other attacks could easily finish the job. Nonetheless, Zea followed orders and began to scratch at the Spearow.

[RESULT: 3]

Aw ya! Feel the burn! The Dragon's recent attack against him had done nothing, as expected! He was a Powerful knight out for his victory, no fire-breathing beast will defeat him so easily! He attack. Buizel opened his mouth and released a mighty water machine gun!

Too bad he fails to realize this is all in his head.

[Mikhail]

That last attack didn't do as much damage as he'd hoped... he wanted this battle over pretty fast, honestly. Gulping, Mikhail decided he might as well try to get Larvesta's accuracy up with the attack through constant use, and after the Zigzagoon had... flailed its paws at them? he decided it was a good time to follow through with the plan inside his head. The bug, irritated that the wild pokemon would try to dare touch his beautiful body, nearly engulfed himself with flames and charged at it before Mikhail could get another command in, but thankfully Larvesta was a bit too enraged and fired off another Ember before he could get too close. Snubbull sighed and shook his head. When would that crazy bug ever learn?

[RESULT: 1]

Oh the madness of it! This... this small fry chicken nugget of a pokemon was going to try and scratch her?! Her rage only growing, Spearow cried out in desperation at her image possibly being ruined in front of her small band of wild Victory Seekers (see what I did there, ohoho), using Peck on Zealot.

[Virgil]

Rona barely even felt that attack and she knew that this was the only other attack. She was wet but this was all about a game to her. Scratch, splash, and sploosh. Wait, what. Her right claw was covered in dark energy and then she slashed at her opponent. That would teach that water weasel a thing or two. She was going to use Night Slash on it.

[RESULT: 7]

Her attack struck home, viciously striking the Buizel, and she stood there confidently. Virgil knew that this battle would be over soon. His Pokemon could handle herself quite well.

That opponent wouldn't bug it anymore. Defeat it, he would (OOC: Somebody please help me, random thought popped into my head and I wrote it down). The Zigzagoon stared at the fire bug before trying to ram its head in a butting movement.

[RESULT: 9]

The rapscallion raccoon Pokemon drove his head hard into the bug's stomach wherever that was, and drove it back. He was still in this fight. That Pokemon wouldn't knock it out.

[Tane Flight]

"Alright, try another Scratch, Zea!" What is with Tane and all the scratching today? Zea didn't like it, she had much stronger moves. But she continued to follow Tane's commands, maybe he had something up his sleeves? That would be a first.

[RESULT: 6]

Zea attacked, much harder then her last hit, dealing twice as much! If she her last hit was a 9 she would have an epic pattern! "Alright Zea, come back!" WAIT WHAT?!

Zea suddenly spun around and faced her trainer, her eyes shown she was not too happy. She stomped back over to Tane's side, it was apparent what he was going to do and she did not like it one bit.

Tane reached in his bag and pulled out a Pokeball, tossing it at the Spearow. "Lets see if we can get a new team member."

Oh no! Suddenly the great dragon began to bite back! it's body and soul began to be devoured by the shadows, transforming it from a common green dragon to a black shadow dragon!

The shadow Dragon hit, digging it's claws deep into his skin. Buizel cried out in pain from the powerful attack. He could feel himself growing tired, but he still had fight left. He had to continue, he had to! Buizel quickly tackled into the Shadow Dragon, hoping that his Quick Attack might do some damage to the giant in front of him.

[Mikhail]

Dangit! Mikhail grimaced and clenched his fists when Larvesta went flying backwards, slammed into one of the few trees around them after the Zigzagoon attacked. He was so sure this would be his first easy victory... but, of course, that was never allowed to happen. He ran over to make sure his pokemon was okay, relieved to see that it was just taking the bug a little while to regroup from flinching. Seeing that, the trainer quickly stepped back away. He didn't know what kind of rage Larvesta would demonstrate after what'd just happened... meanwhile, he looked over to Tane curiously, seeing he was trying to capture the Spearow.

New team member? Oh no no no, she didn't want to be on the same side that this overgrown chicken nugget was on! However, Spearow was having a hard time even attempting to fight back. She was panting and having a hard time keeping a game face. The dual type watched as Tane prepared to throw a pokeball at her, a sudden thought popping into her small birdy brain. If this orange flightless avian was this strong under his guidance, maybe joining them wouldn't be so bad. Reluctantly, when she was drawn into the red light, she didn't resist and was successfully caught. She was giving him the chance to own her, and for his sake, she hoped he lived up to her expectations...

[Virgil]

Virgil had his eyes on this Buizel. If only he could befriend it but that was hardly the point here. He had to focus. Rona had good chances of finishing off that Axew now. Rona bounced back from the attack, still excited, and though she was hurt that this Buizel was being so aggressive.

"Ax. Axew ax axew!" she cried out.

"Ok. Scratch it, once more" he said coolly. He wasn't going to guess what she just said as it wasn't the matter at hand for now.

Rona braced her claws and jumped straight at the Buizel with her claws out stretched. She would get this arrogant sea weasel to listen to reason by knocking it out. She merely wanted to play with it. Oh wait, her trainer wanted to defeat it. She scratched the Pokemon with her right claw, straight across the face, and knocked her opponent over. Her opponent was out cold.

[RESULT: 2]

She jumped on top of the Buizel before looking over towards Virgil.

"Axew!"

Buizel: *Fainted*

Virgil smiled before looking to see how the other battles went. They were doing pretty well and he saw that one of the others had caught one of the Pokemon. Now, that he could focus more clearly on other matters. He could see that it was Tane. That left only Mikhail with his wild Pokemon. Chances were that bug would knock out the raccoon Pokemon soon. He could very much bet on that much. For now, he would just stand back and watch the rest of the battle. It was good to be lazy when there was nothing else better to do.

Another free attack was given to it. That foolish bug didn't know what hit it. Now, he was going to give that thing a whooping.

"Zig Zigzagoon!" it yelled over towards its opponent. It definitely was trying to insult the bug and also the bug's training.

Then it rushed forward to tackle into the bug and tackle it did. But it miscalculated again as it hit the bug's side and merely brushed off of it. The wild Pokemon turned around to face the Larvesta. If that bug missed again then he would deal some more damage.

[Tane Flight]

Tane practically jumped over to his new Pokemon's Pokeball. He snatched it up quickly, a big smirk on his face. "Aw ya! We got her!" Zea glared at her trainer, obviously not wanting to join celebratory party going on in his head.

"We're going to have to give her a name now. Hm...Oh, I know, her name will be Kimera! Welcome to the team, Kimera!" Tane placed the Pokeball in a safe place along with the other stored Pokeballs.

Looking at his other two friends he noticed that Virgil and Rona and finished off their opponent, leaving only one battle left to finish. The new guy's battle. Tane walked over to watch the battle finish up.

[Mikhail]

Oh gosh. Everyone else was done except for him... and now he was receiving full attention. What, was this some kind of special show? Sure, his pokemon was a little weird, but hadn't they ever seen a person battle before? Mikhail's fists clenched even tighter as he watched Larvesta prepare himself for the final attack. Which attack would they use, though?

"Just... finish it off!" Mik said, his breathing a bit labored as he tried to keep his cool. Liking that he had freedom in choice, he glared at the Zigzagoon and shot several streams of fire from his horns, hoping the Ember would make an end of it.

[RESULT: 7]

It was a bit of overkill, but it was over. Finally. Wiping his brow, Mikhail was actually... supportive of Larvesta when he glomped him, patting his head.

"Um, good battle guys" he said, rubbing the back of his head. "So what now?"

[Virgil]

Virgil smiled and shrugged. He wasn’t sure what to do. Yeah, it was a good battle. Especially, Mikhail’s battle.

“I guess we just root around for more Pokemon. I mean we don’t have too badly hurt Pokemon yet to worry about taking them to the Pokemon Center. So, why not just take the risks and make our Pokemon better?” he replied cheerfully. “Besides, I like to take my chances with these things if it helps out my Pokemon. Also, nice catch, Tane.”

Virgil looked down at the egg that he was carrying and then over towards Rona who had come back to stay by his side for now. She wasn’t sure about hugging the fire bug at all and so decided to just hug Virgil’s leg. Virgil, the gambling man, had already made his decision and so he wondered what Tane, his first companion would decide on.

[Tane Flight]

Tane smirked "Thanks dude. I think we can search for more Pokemon or maybe even some other Pokemon trainers to battle with. Our Pokemon are still fine for battle. No reason to rest now, right Zea?"

Zealot squawked loudly to show she was still ready for a fight. She was still quite made about Tane catching that stupid sparrow, but she would hold her head up high, she was Tane's star bird and now backyard bird was going to change that! "Awesome! What about you, Mik? You think you and your Pokes can keep going?"
