History: Lucas was born to a mining family, that was all they did and he was kind of forced into doing it or at least helping while he was a child. He knows just about every type of earth based pokemon and like them but is tired of them. Lucas has only one older brother who is 6 years older and now works full time in the mines. He opted out of going on a adventure to provide for the family.
For these reasons Lucas loved to collect pretty stones and other items found through digging. His love for pokemon grew strongly when he was adventuring the mines one day when he wasn't supposed to and it caved in, he was around 9 years old at the time. A group of digglets came through and helped him out of it and stayed with the family from that day forward. They were his brothers pokemon but they still loved to play and look after young Lucas.
Finally when he was 14 his brother came up to him and handed him a ticket, it was to Dust town. "Here little brother, go on a adventure for the both of us, I can hold down the fort and make sure mom and dad don't starve." Lucas balled for hours clutching his brothers shirt before having to be pulled away.
For the next year he started to read up on the world and try and get as prepared as he possibly could for the adventure he was going to go on. Finally he kissed his parents good bye and headed to Dust town the diglets following him as far as they could tears in their eyes. "Don't worry buddies I will be back and we will have lots of fun with lots of new friends." He stated waving and running.
