Nick coordinated Drake's attacks with the others, using the Dratini's Dragon Breath as his dragon type move. When the door finally opened, he waited patiently for Sneer to go in and return. He was concerned with the sound, but his concerns went away when Sneer returned and with what appeared to be two guides. He too overheard the discussion of trust from the talking Pokemon. He wasn't overly pleased to hear such distrust, but he couldn't begrudge the Pokemon either. After all, Nick was putting plenty of trust in a group of people he really didn't know.
Those that he did know weren't with him right now. As glad as he was to be away from Varoon, he didn't exactly like not being around Allie. Instead, he left a group of people that he was familiar with to join a group he knew nothing about. Then again, he didn't know Varoon or Allie when he started traveling with them. He opened up and gave them some bit of trust and he wasn't displeased with the results. So he could certainly extend the same to these people. Wow. That certainly put things in perspective for him.
"Look. I'm giving all of you the benefit of the doubt. We're all victory seekers here. We may not know each other, but we were picked because we have the same kind of ideals that make us victory seekers. Until someone proves otherwise, I'm going to trust all of you to complete whatever it is we're here to do." Nick said, speaking a bit bluntly like he always did. He recalled Chara to her pokeball. The Charmander would not be his choice today.
"Drake. You're with me." He told the Dratini, who slithered up to him. Nick knelt down and the Dratini slithered up his arm and coiled lightly around his neck yet again. Drake was one of the strongest Pokemon he had and it was the red head's starter Pokemon. Nick might have considered his uniquely colored Misquaza, but that Dragon was just a little too big for enclosed spaces like this. He needed the freedom of the open skies.
Nick stood up and walked closer to the door, waiting to enter the area. This was an unknown to all of them. Now wasn't the time for distrust and paranoia. That could likely get them all killed, especially if there were traps they had to avoid. That would be hard enough to look out for without everyone looking over their shoulder and watching their own backs. They would have to extend some amount of trust to one another. Otherwise, they would be more like Team Necro than the Victory Seekers.
