Coming back from their return trip to Route 801, Amy and Jessa had made their way back and had arrived in Torrentia at last. "Thanks for the ride back," Amy said, petting Moltres' head happily, though she didn't exactly return the happy feeling. It was clear that the Fire type didn't like it here and didn't feel the same way the others did about being here.
Ugh...Why you insist on stopping here of all places, I'll never understand. There are much better places farther on, Moltres said with a small sigh.
"I know you don't like it here, but we'll be on the road again before you know it," Amy assured her.

Gauge huffed as he slid off of the legendary bird's back, patting her in quiet thanks. He was appreciative of the ride, really, but he wasn't going to let the other humans know that. He was able to get a close up view of not only a legendary bird, but a bird pokemon in general that was also a dual type. He'd been writing notes the entire time, and thankfully since his focus was drawn entirely on Moltres and keeping Chinook tucked away under one arm, he didn't get sick. After slipping his book back into his bag, Gauge took in a deep breath and placed the Vulpix on the ground, enjoying the salty scent of the breeze.
"For once... I'll agree with the big chicken. This place sucks, and the ride wasn't so smooth either" Chinook groaned, wobbling back and forth. "I'm a fox. I belong on the ground!"
"Then why did you throw a fit about getting into your pokeball, eh?" Gauge snapped, arching a brow. The Vulpix ignored him and looked onward, bleary eyed and confused. "Just... quit talking, you're making my head hurt."
Shrugging, the teen gave a sidelong glance to the girls and frowned. "To the Pokemon Center first, I guess?"

Jessa hopped off of Amy's Moltres, brushing herself off. She was so happy she was finally here. The lake-bound city was a sight to behold. She inhaled the crisp air and smiled. "Sure, the Pokemon Center sounds like a good place to start. My poor little Wurmply-kins needs some healing!"
She cradled the Pokeball that held her Wurmple, making cooing noises at it. She was absolutely smitten with the bug Pokemon. It was almost ridiculous. Jessa then realized how silly she was being, and put the Pokeball back on her belt. She began to blush furiously. "Ummm.."

"Yeah, that seems best," Amy said, returning Moltres to her Pokeball cheerfully before noticing Jessa's affection for her Wurmple. "Wow, you really love the little guy, huh?" she asked with a small smile. It felt good to see that Jessa was happy with her new Pokemon and even better to know that she'd been able to help her friend out.

The breeder nodded, satisfied for once with the group he was with. Eager to get things done and move on. Perfect. Chinook looked up at her human and sniffed, throwing her tails into the air and barking, demanding to be picked up. As if she'd actually walk through this hellish watery town and grace them with her superior paws! Rolling his eyes, Gauge ignored her for the moment and whipped out his notebook, staring at Jessa as she coddled her pokeball.
"...Interesting." He snapped it back shut, shook his head and picked up his Vulpix. Sitka landed behind them shortly after, done with enjoying his elongated flight and taking position behind Gauge. "Well then, on to the Pokemon Center" he said, not so much as looking backwards at the pair before moving onward. It didn't take long, really - all he had to do was follow the steady flow of trainers going back and forth and do a bit of red roof searching. In a matter of minutes they arrived, a Chansey waving to them in greetings and approaching them with a cart. Seemed Nurse Joy was busy today...
"Hello, Chansey" Gauge greeted, kneeling down slightly and, it was a miracle! He smiled. She cooed and motioned to his two pokeballs, and he nodded, placing one on the cart and then signaling for Sitka to follow her. Chinook stuck her tongue out.
"I am NOT getting on that disease ridden... thing." She squirmed free of his grasp and sat daintily on the ground, ignoring Chansey altogether. Gauge shrugged and looked out a window. The healing service was there for the others if they wanted it, and he already knew what he needed to do in this town. What did they have in mind?

Jessa smiled and nodded. She really did love this Wurmple. She then realized she hadn't named him yet. "Hmm..You feel like a Koro to me, Wurmple. SO that shall be your name!" She patted the pokeball at her side and then handed it to Chansey. "This is my new Wurmple, he needs to be healed up from his capture."
She then sat down on the bench, looking through her guidebook. There wasn't much here aside from the Gym and the Breeding center, neither of which was for her. She couldn't even challenge the gym for fun, as it was forbidden for Coordinators to compete for badges.

"Here you go," Amy said, placing her Pokeballs on Chansey's cart, who cooed happily in response as she took them. Petting Chinook on the head first, she headed over to join Jessa. "Anything interesting in there?" she asked her friend, indicating the guidebook she was holding.

Chansey happily sorted the things on her cart and turned to roll them away, Sitka ruffling his feathers as he followed, looking around at all the commotion curiously. Chinook pulled her head back and gasped as Amy patted her head, growling with flattened ears later on. "Stupid human, messing up my mane!" As she started to groom herself, Gauge watched the girls from the corner of his eye. Guidebook? What the heck? ..Why didn't he have one? Oh, right. He relied more on memory than anything.
Narrowing his eyes, he sloooowly craned his head over in their direction, observing the pages from as far away as he could. "I wonder if it mentions anything about the Breeding Center - couldn't see one on the way here..." sighing, he shifted his position. He'd have to get closer if he really wanted a better look... but as soon as he attempted, a slippery mound of white and blue pounced on him, licking his face all over and drenching Chinook in the process.
"MY FUR! MY BEAUTIFUL, LOVELY FUR!" she cried, shaking herself off as she obsessively cleaned herself off, staring daggers at the odd Vaporeon. "You wretched, ugly creature! You'll pay for this!" However, Gauge didn't seem to be phased at all. It seemed like this critter came to him as soon as he mentioned the breeding center, and if that was a fact, maybe this guy was his ticket to his first test. The Winter Vaporeon turned to stick his tongue out at Chinook, tail wagging.
"Seems you're not going anywhere for now. You'll be called Ipswich for the time being." As he held the pokemon back from mauling his face with his tongue, still on the ground, he looked over to Amy and Jessa as if nothing happened. "Well? Any info on the Breeding Center?"

Jessa looked through the info on the Breeding Center. "Says that it got recently subjected to a Kyogre attack, but other than that, no. Sorry." She sighed and began to think of home.
She thought about all the dragon types that inhabited her home town of Hurricana, and wondered if her mother would be proud of her. She had obtained 2 of them, both legendary in their own right. Her father, well, he was never that in tune with Jessa's life. He spent most of his time at the Gym with Wyrlia. She never understood why.

"A...Kyogre?" Amy asked, surprised at the news of the attack. "Guess we were pretty lucky we weren't here for that, huh?" she said as the Vaporeon leaped onto Gauge.
"Aw, it likes you," she said, watching the strangely colored Pokemon. "Do you think it belongs to someone? I've never seen anything like that in the wild," she added, not wanting to admit she'd never seen a regular colored Eevee before either.

Gauge snorted, waving the people off as he finally stood, shaking himself a bit doggishly. "I heard of the Kyogre incident... not what I was hoping to find out" he muttered, adjusting his hat as he motioned for Ipswich to sit. The Vaporeon lolled his tongue and did nothing. Sighing, the breeder wandered back over to the window and pressed his palms against it, peering outside with scrutiny. His gaze flickered back to Amy for just a second before wavering back to the outside world, unimpressed.
"If it does, they'll come looking, especially for a pokemon like this" he replied, finally leaning down to push Ipswich's bottom to the floor in a sitting position. He did, but his tongue still lolled. Bah. "Besides, he'll wander back home, if he does have one, once he gets heartsick enough. Anyway, what do you two plan on doing? I can't sit in here all day. I need to find my target" he asked, relieved when he heard Chansey rolling her cart back to them, turning so he could pick up Kalkaska's pokeball. When Sitka approached Gauge, the Winter Vaporeon barked and lunged at him, wanting to play. The Angel Absol stepped back and recoiled. He... was not big on play.
